Guest Reviews
- Robin (9/5): Peace and Tranquil - Nice old house with character. Plenty of room and very quiet due to location. Proximity to town and beaches was perfect. Would love to buy the property and own it ourselves. Someone must have broken the electric frying pan, tried to use it as the electric cook top was slow to cook, as was the oven. House had some general cobwebs and dust but to be expected and didn't worry us. Loved the property.
- Joseph (8/5): - Room for parking boats.
- Jason (10/5): Brilliant old-world charm, great location and value for money! A beautiful home. - wow this place is amazing, the old-world charm meets you at the door with the smell in the hallway eliciting memories of the yesteryears, I hope they never change a thing, whilst it might not be to everyone's standards or taste we loved it, love all things old. The tasteful room decor was with period thoughtfulness, again we loved these aspects. There was something warm and inviting about this home. Reading through the booklet at the entrance which held the histories of the home and the families who lived within, made us feel a connection, even to the point we visited the cemetery by the beach and looked at their graves! There's nothing negative to say for this home, the view of the bay, the locations to various beaches from Tathra to Corcora and Aislings Beach suited our 6 children. We had access to drive to Tathra, the Green cape lighthouse, Boyd's Tower and Rock Pool walks. The grand massive, big Tree out the front is a treasure. The Swing out-front! The spacious yard!! the kind neighbour who gave us tomatoes. If you are considering this place, don't look any further, what a special place this is, we'd love to return now we are connected. Thank you so much!
It was clean and tidy, the window views dont disappoint, the shower has a rain head option! There's so much to say about Dar-El you must see for yourself. Thank you for providing a value for money place for our family of 8 and Nan and Pop can go together for a family holiday. the only thing to say about what I didn't like - I didn't book longer time as a week went too fast!!!!!
- chung (7/5): - big and quite
- Julie (10/5): Fantastic! - A beautiful heritage home with the most magnificent views imaginable! Great for a holiday with extended family as there was enough space for everyone and also enough space to get away from each other if needed. On a hot summers day this house managers to catch the best breezes that cools everything down.
- Cathy (8/5): - Spacious gathering place for our large family, huge lovely lawn with big trees, lots of games to play, well stocked kitchen reminded me of my nannas house. N8ce views of Twofold Bay 9.30 departure was difficult to achieve
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (8/5): It was what I expected, no problems. - Old world charm
- Jacqui1963 (6/5): Lovely old house - bit tired - Lovely location, lovely quirky old house full of charm, clean bedding & towels, great book shelves to peruse. Loved the interesting history. Bit dusty, cobwebs, mouldy wallpaper, not enough toilet paper (bought my own too) BBQ was dirty but agent did have it cleaned after I let them know. No WIFI was a hassle for our UK visitors, smart TV would have been good. Carpets could've done with a shampoo smelt a bit wet dogish.
- Rebecca (10/5): Our stay was relaxing and inviting - The location was excellent, the house was lovely and spacious with lots of room for the dogs to run in the backyard. The views were beautiful and it was just a short walk into the town, beaches and scenic walks. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the combustible stove - it kept the house nice and warm on the chilly nights. We also enjoyed the piano!!
- Martin (9/5): Superb - great views to the ocean and the dog had lots of space to run around in.
- Rachel (8/5): Very good - Loved the home and location. Few ants in the kitchen.
- Chloe (9/5): loved our stay at Dar-El, recommended if you are visiting Eden. - Dar-El is gorgeous. you can see the water from the side and rear windows of the house and the yard. the yard is beautiful, lots of space and kids had lots of fun in the sand pit and on the swing and playing cricket in the yard.
it was raining when we planned to cook a bbq near the beach, so we headed back to Dar-El and it was a peaceful spacious place to cook our 'bbq' and relax.
Host very quick to help with any questions or anything that needed fixing and owner was around in a jiffy to make sure things were right for us.
- Peter (9/5): Magnificent stay in a great old house with plenty of room and terrific views would stay again - The whole stay was absolutely fantastic. There were six of on our annual fishing trip and the property was ideal. There is plenty of parking for boats and cars. The grounds are beautiful and the views are amazing, a beautiful old house with lots of charm and personality and pretty much all we could hope for. The property definitely met our expectations. There was definitely nothing about our stay that I would say was a negative and the only things which I would have on a wish list would be internet access, smart TV and perhaps a more modern stove for cooking. But as I say we knew about these things before we went and still had a wonderful time.
- Matt (7/5): Good -
- Alyse (10/5): We had a wonderful time - The views were beautiful and great big backyard
