The place had everything you can imagine, and if it wasn’t there, an in-depth guide from the host was available which included information for everything from best places to eat, wine shops and helpful local phrases! Bathroom could be a little more private.

• vincent (10/5): This place is way better than the photos! - This place is perfect for a romantic weekend/stay. EVERYTHING is fully stocked: kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc. The bed and linen are very comfortable. The lights and sound system are great. Big spacious shower with lots of hot water. Wonderful sun patio to read or take coffee. Neighborhood is safe and close to many restaurants and shops. This place is better than the photos! nothing

• Noemi (9/5): OBO - lovely again! - OBO is a great place, modern building, top amenities and decoration. Somehow during this trip the area was dark and deserted in the evenings. Since there is no security or portier outside it feels a bit unsafe when arriving in the evenings. I feel I need to share for female solo travellers to be aware of but no reason to not book OBO. The building is very safe!

• Geoffrey (9/5): The room was excellent for a 3 to 4 day stay. - The location was good and the apartment looked great if a little over done with tech. The bed was very comfertable. The roof top pool was good for unwinding at the end of the day. There was no one at reception when we arrived. We were let in the building by someone who lived there. The receptionist was not in that day. When another person arrived she did show the apartment and discuss some of the aspects. The cupboards and fridge contained opened and use jars and containers. The pan scrub was filthily. The drawers and cupboards were used for the owners own products leaving little or no room for storage. There was only one hand and 1 bath towel each for the week. The washing machine on the ground floor was constantly in use.The robot vac was useless and no brush to sweep floor.
• Anna (10/5): A funky place focused on design, technology and comfort. - This studio is beautifully designed with a Brazilian vibe, stuffed with supplies and equipment to allow a home-away-from-home feel to the holiday. The conservatory-like living/dining area also opened up the space and allowed natural light into a space which would have otherwise been quite boxed in. The face-recognition system of entry and exit made the accommodation feel very secure, although we never felt unsafe in this area packed with lively bars and restaurants. The host was most responsive when organising our entry into the building at the crack of dawn so we could leave our luggage securely at reception before check-in. The rooftop plunge pool was also a nice space, although we never used it with the beach just a few minutes away. For guests staying a little longer, there might be a lack of clothes hanging space, plus the main storage were drawers under the bed which proved a little awkward for taking out clothes (other more reachable drawers were filled with extra supplies). Surprisingly, there was no washing liquid/tablets provided for laundry, but we did not need to use the washing machines behind the reception in this instance.

• Britanny (10/5): We will stay here again next time we visit Rio! - Perfect location and spacious apartment! It has everything you could possibly need and great for working remotely. High speed internet! The wifi was fast and I had no issues with connection. This was important as I had to login to my work VPN which tends to be slow with bad internet connections (not a problem here)! We arrived early and owner was incredibly accommodating as we were able to take a quick nap in the comfortable waiting area of the lobby until the room was ready. We were two female travelers and felt perfectly safe in the apartment and the neighborhood. If you’re debating between Copacabana and Ipanema, I strongly recommend Ipanema (and this apartment specifically). It’s a more upscale local and safe location. Copacabana is very touristy, so staying here gives you the benefit of escaping the bombardment of tourists while still being in walking distance to Copacabana.

• Evgeny (10/5): Cosy, brand new, fully automatic apartment where you would love to come back! - Super brand new apartment with full automatic control of TV, stereo and so on, placed in the heart of Ipanema. I cannot think of anything that I would change in this apparent. The stay was as comfortable as you would wish for. My personal respect to the owner! Due to security reasons entrance to the building can only be made by face recognition, which is a bit difficult for people wearing glasses.. and to paranoid persons as well ;)
• Ayse (10/5): A great find! - The Obo Casa apartment is an exceptionally well-designed, spacious studio with a terrace and a kitchen. The interior design, the quality of the finishes, the various amenities are all outstanding. The flat even has a surround sound system and motorised black out shades. There is a spacious rain shower. Everything is very tasteful and thoughtful. The location is amazing, very close to the Ipanema beach. The neighbourhood is very lively with plenty of restaurants. We had a minor mix up about check in times but the host was immediately responsive and they more than made up for it. It also took awhile for the face id to work. Despite these small hiccups the property exceeded our expectations and we would definitely go back there if ever in Rio again.

The desk person was friendly and accommodating, and the host was available by chat whenever we needed help. The checkin and checkout process was as smooth as can be. As a Brazilian living in the US, this was an oasis to come to at the end of the busy days in Rio. The location very convenient to major sites. The kitchen has all the things which was great for cooking with local ingredients from the various markets. Josh and his team are friendly and attentive. Would definitely come again. No complaints. The apartment was wonderful.

I like cooking breakfast & it was perfect for whipping up an amazing breakfast & smoothies. My favorite part was the enclosed balcony and colorful mural directly outside of it! The loft is a work of art and everything you could think of wanting in a bnb is there. This is a smart home and you can control everything with you voice: music, lights, temperature, tv, blinds. The host made sure I had access to whatever I wanted and provided an amazing travel guide as well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Sitting in the patio room during a light rain storm was a blissful experience. Nothing.

The surround sound, beautiful art, and lush greenery elevate the minimalist design and cozy interior, while the comfy bed and blackout shades were an added bonus for great sleep after my travels.
