Guest Reviews
- Lachlan (10/5): I will be booking the cabin again - It was quiet and scenic, close to town and just an amazing cabin Bathroom very small but fine
- Deb A (7/5): Very nice peaceful stay out of town. - the location was lovely. Set on a rural property right beside the main house, but you had a fence between you so you had privacy. We were only 3 minutes to the nearest shopping centre. Everything was close. It was very quiet and peaceful. We had kangaroos and kookaburras visit daily. There was a fenced area for the dogs which was good and one of the reasons we booked the cabin. The cabin is old, but it was clean and had mostly everything you needed. Breakfast was also good. Carl explained how everything worked. The WiFi was terrible. Wouldn't work at all at times. The TV does not have free to air channels and you have to hook up to the owners wifi to watch streaming. While that would have been ok, the wifi signal kept dropping out so you couldn't really watch anything. It was mostly at night we wanted to watch a movie or something. My mum found it a bit boring not having anything. The owners need to put in a wifi booster to the cabin for better reception. Just so other people know, the bedrooms are very small so you wont' get your suitcase in the there and there are no wardrobes. Neither of which worried us.
- Rachael (9/5): A lovely break in a beautiful area. - Lovely feel and so quiet and peaceful. Nothing/ it was great!
- Daniel (8/5): - Parfait pour découvrir la nature et les kangourous! Au calme et en pleine nature, mais à 5 minutes de la ville et des plages. Carl est très agréable par son accueil et ses conseils.
- Raife (4/5): while not what we were expecting was still quiet, needs updating/upgrading - Carl was a great host and was welcoming and kind upon arrival, gave us a quick tour and then gave us our space to enjoy our time away, the doors, didn't lock too well but we took what we thought we couldnt afford to lose with us. beds could have been better, we were not made aware that the water, being rain water, was contaminated with leaves from trees and could make us sick before arriving, doors didn't lock properly
- Nathan (5/5): Secluded bush stay - The location was quiet and secluded, positioned in the bush. Bed was comfortable, the owner was friendly and helpful with information about the area The unit was very run down, bed room and especially the bathroom were tiny, kitchen needed to be replaced.
- Jodi (8/5): A quiet, scenic nature stay perfect for relaxing - We loved the bush and nature setting.
- Christensen (10/5): Close to the beach, lovely owners, and the the place was beautiful and great for everyone even people with dogs - Just overall beautiful place Nothing
- lyn (9/5): - Very thoughtful to leave something different to cereal and toast. The property has a very safe area for dogs, so I would be happy to return to this accommodation with my dog next time I go to Agnes Water. It was all fine. The beds were comfortable, and we had easy access to the town and other places, thanks to our hired car.
Clear instructions about the cabin and what was available in the areas through the brochures left for our appraisal.
- Miz-Carol (10/5): - Tranquil and peaceful, I woke up to see kangaroos eating nearby. There is a great fenced area for dogs adjoined to the house so you can safely bring your best buddy. Friendly host and clean and comfortable cabin. Comfortable beds and large fridge/freezer. Breakfast pack of croissants, jam, butter, cereals and 1 litre milk provided, which was lovely. Perfect for a quiet getaway without the noise of a conventional motel.

- OLD (6/5): OK. Like an unlocked caravan full of wildlife. - Breakfast was Sultana Bran. Air conditioner was loud. shower was strong. Front door was unlockable. Geckos calling out at night somewhere in the bedroom. Toaster was set to "burn" and "one side only". Bedroom fan broken. Bed light broken.
- Verangi (10/5): - Pet friendly. Welcoming owner. Even provided a chewable slipper & balls for puppy to play with. Clean. Filrered water provided. 6mins to main shops. N/a
- Leif (10/5): -
- Mick (2/5): Was a terrible experience, stay somewhere else - Not much Most things, room was dirty ,very small,
Nichts.
- Don (7/5): Good value for money. - Location was quiet and private. Bed mattresses were uncomfortable.
- Graham (10/5): -
- Lorraine (5/5): Ok - Location Not what we expected, pictures made it look better than what it is.
- Giddins (10/5): We were after a peaceful rek - The property was so peaceful, relaxing, private . Carl and his partner were very pleasant hosts Maybe flyscreens on bedroom windows, love fresh air
- Heather (1/5): It has potential a decent clean all bedding replaced and a proper cleaning inbetween clients. The water tank cleaned so - The property has potential with all bedding replaced, thorough cleaning, and a properly cleaned water tank to ensure safety. The accommodation was in poor condition and posed health risks. It had a strong musk and mold smell, with visible mold on the ceiling and thick dust on fans. Bed linens were stained, unsanitary, and appeared unwashed, with pillows containing insect casing and blood stains. The fridge was dirty with dead flies, and the toilet walls had waste-like particles. Spider webs in the kitchenette indicated a lack of cleaning. Privacy was compromised at night as all blinds were see-through, and the main house was nearby. The owner claimed the place was cleaned professionally but it was clearly neglected, and cleanliness was unacceptable. Breakfast included expired cereal. Liz negotiated a $150 AUD refund with Carl, but she wasn't aware I paid $221 AUD. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this establishment.

Kangaroo Kabins certainly lived up to its name - Mumma kangaroo visited me with a little joey in her pouch. The cabin itself had everything I needed for the time I was there. Carl was the perfect host. Thank you for the memories.
- Melissa (9/5): Beautiful location in the bush, yet 5 min drive to everything. - Neil (7/5): Good - Very quiet Cabin just minutes from the centre of Anges Water Quiet, clean little Cabin
- Nathan (5/5): It was ok - Its was quiet, kangaroos at your front door The Water was yellow? The parking area very small. Bathroom small I could barely fit in there. And not 5 minutes from the beach. It’s more like 15 minutes
- Roslyn (8/5): Very good - Kangaroo Kabin host, Carl, was there to greet us on arrival, hand over the keys and show us where everything was in the cabin. Carl also arranged for some bread, butter, milk and fruit to be available for our breakfasts. It was a delight on the second morning to see some kangaroos! The cabin was in a great location - close to the beach and local shops.
- Annette (4/5): Not very impressed at all, would not return - The food provided was a lovely touch. Front door extremely hard too lock, cockroaches on bench tops, kitchen cupboards and draws had cockroach dirt inside, dead spiders in kitchen cupboards, water leaking around ceiling fan, no wardrobes in bedrooms, had to climb over 2nd single bed to reach light switch, shower curtain very dirty on the bottom
- Chantell (10/5): Will definitely be back. - This is such a peaceful area. So much wild life. Owner is amazing, helpful and very friendly.
- Daniel (5/5): Unfortunately did have to leave a day early as we had some trouble at home but over all was ok - Not to bad for the price Carl was good and in continuous contact the whole stay goodt location and quite Turned on the fan and a heap of water came out had to turn it off quickly some of our clothing did get wet because of this. The kid did freak out over a huntsman but that’s expected in the bush setting.
- Nikki (9/5): Superb -
- Phyllis (8/5): Very good -
- May (8/5): Very good - Peaceful A bit remote
- Holly (9/5): Cosy Basic Dog Friendly Cabin on the Outskirts of Agnes Waters - Carl, our host was lovely. He met us on arrival and gave us a quick tour. The cabin is near his house but far enough away that you don't really see each other much. He left rainwater for drinking, fruit, bread, milk, homemade muesli, honey, oil and salt and paper which was a nice touch! Had everything you could need for a comfortable self-contained getaway. My kids and I enjoyed a bird feeding in the afternoon with Carl, seeing some kookaburras up close. Loved we could bring the dogs. Only a short drive into town. Super quiet area. The bedrooms and bathroom suffice but are very small. The main is a double bed and the other bedroom is a single bed only. The living room area had a single pull out and a queen bed pull out that our other daughter slept on. It works for a short stay.
If you bring your dog, there is no fencing around the cabin, so if they do not have good recall, you will need to bring a long lead if you leave them outside.
- Marylin (9/5): Just lovely. - The space, the views the relaxed atmosphere. Would like a water jug in the fridge and a receptacle for our dog waste so we don’t leave it for someone else to clean up after him. We had a lovely time and these are minor suggestions.
- Mark (8/5): Great stay, thanks to helpful host Carl. - Good basic accommodation at a reasonable price. As described, no complaints.
- Katarina (10/5): Beautiful and quiet location with visiting kangaroos. - Loved the silence and the kangaroos.
- Dianne (10/5): Exceptional - We got to see kangaroo's, green parrots and kookaburras all from the deck of the kabin.
- Megan (3/5): Clean and tidy just missing a few small details. - Friendly host. Very detailed information booklet on things to see and do around the area. Clean and tidy cabin. Quite area. We felt some of the photos online did not represent where we stayed. No key to be able to lock the place up when out and about. Little to no privacy No curtain on main sliding door other blinds are see through.
- Sun (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet spot away from many tourist.
So so close to Brand new IGA and 5 min to Beach. Friendly host, Carl and Dog friendly enviro, my dog chased Kangaroo though, sorry Kangaroo. None
