- Yuan (1/5): I’m very disappointed with my recent stay. The room was extremely damp, the lights were too dim, and -
- Casey (1/5): Bad - Location No power meant I wasn't able to stay. Previously I had stayed a number of times with no issues. 6 weeks on, no refund despite full evidence provided to manager of the property.
- Anonymous (1/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!! AWFUL STAY WITH NO ELECTRICITY - DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!! AWFUL STAY WITH NO ELECTRICITY. When I arrived in July 2025 for a 2 night stay, there was no electricity. I contacted the owner via Booking.com who asked me to communicate with them outside on Booking.com on What's App (already a red flag). They guided me to where the electric box was which wasn't in the flat but in the communal area outside. It took a while to find as there was so many and I needed to get a chair with a long stick to get it back on. However, once on, I thought that would be over however, the electricity kept tripping out constantly during our stay.. We contacted the owner on What's App to explain that it kept tripping. No electricity meant we had no boiler (no hot water or shower), no refrigeration, no ability to charge our phones, not able to cook (which was one of the reasons we booked this property), no ability to make a cup of tea or use the fan (and it was hot). At the end of the stay, I explained I wanted a refund and they said that 'management would contact me' which they have never done. I raised a complaint with Booking.com who understood my grievance and said they would get hold of the owner. After 48 hours, they came back to me to say that the property owner isn't responding to them despite their calls or messages and so, there's nothing they can do outside offering me 15% (in booking.com credit!). I declined this offer immediately as it's unacceptable (works out just over £50). After another 7 days, I contacted Booking.com by phone. They were completely understanding of my situation and said, in my shoes, they wouldn't accept 15% either however, there was nothing she could do as the property did not respond. It's outrageous that this property continues to be sold on booking.com's platform and they allow it to be. They told me an investigation against the property is underway and many many other complaints had come in however, that does not impact me.
- Sarena (7/5): Good -
- Page (1/5): Bad -
- Rakesh (1/5): Room was not cleaned - the propery is close to main attraction centers, however it was quite difficult to find the place. Host does not respond fast and address in booking.com was wrong. I asked host if we can do early checkin ( 12 noon ). He agreed after a long time.
Once we were near the location, found out the address was wrong. Took sometime before host responded.
Once we entered the room, it was not clean , Host said it will be cleaned by 3pm.
We came back at 3, it was not clean. ( photos attached )
we waited until 4pm, and then left.
Booking.com and the host denied to pay refund.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Great location
- Kapusta (7/5): Good - The location is great. Communication with the host was poor, and the location was incorrectly set in the booking, which caused us to lose time finding the apartment.
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anish (7/5): Nice basement flat in Fitzrovia - + Good central location
+ Cute and cosy basement flat with modern furniture
+ Functional kitchen
+ Decent soft and comfortable bed
+ Good amount of towels - Shower hose/pipe leaks when using it, although decent pressure
- Bathroom needs minor improvements e.g. clean dusty extractor fan and paint over the marks on the wall
- Give the accurate address to avoid guests having to ask and risk going to wrong place
- Scott (7/5): Good - The address given & postcode do not match the description !
The property is listed as Mansions in the address infact it’s Residencies
It was about 800 mtrs from postcode
- Mayukh (8/5): Very good -
- Basil (8/5): Convenient location. - Convenient location. The direction to where exactly the building is could be made a lot clearer. Google map on the site takes you elsewhere.
- Emma (1/5): Foul, filthy, severely mouldy , dusty, sticky, damp, broken, uninhabitable - Nothing it made me actually sick The entire experience and the property itself should be classed as uninhabitable. Property manager unreachable, fake contact info and doesnt respond . Booking dot com are useless. This property madr me ill from.sut and mould allergy. All the cutlery, kettle and pans had severe rust and the cooker had worn off all the dials and details so it cpuldbt work the extractor was clogged with mould grease and dust so were the vents. Mould painted over so thick layers of paint peeling back on walls, no wifi, tv not wherr it is in pictures but propped up on broken bedroom drawers and didnt even worl, broken funrniture , handles coming off all but one internal door, broken bin and toilet seat, mouldy and dirty shower and a towel from the 1800s as a shower mat. The sofa was actually sticky and damp fabric and stank of musty dampness and sweaty bottom. The bed had no protector under the hair covered sheet. Under the bed hasnt been cleaned for God knows how long. Sticky doors walls and floors. Mouldy, frayed and spiled blinds. Basically unable to sleep anywhere, watch anything , cook or wash. Absolutely the worst experience ever.
- Philip (5/5): If you are old, overweight or tall... Probably not for you. - Location was good for me and being on the lower ground floor was very convenient. Once I was able to establish where the property was, gaining access was fairly easy. The heating worked well and so did the Wi-Fi. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It was very low to the floor and totally unsuitable for someone of my size (6'4" tall) and of my age. The ironing board was old and not very good. The ironing board cover was disgusting.
- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional - Super centric, clean, and cozy, top place! Plus the owner was super kind and helped us with everything we needed. Many thanks!
- Martina (8/5): Suited us perfectly for a one night stop over - Location , cleanliness, ease of access We didn’t realise it was a basement flat.
- Krzysztof (7/5): It was really nice. It's a great place for a short stay. - Location, two separate rooms for 3 people. The walls in the bathroom need renovation.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geyu (10/5): Exceptional - There is a refrigerator, a kitchen, and all the necessary supplies for our daily life here. It is conveniently located near the subway.
