• S (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf bij super lieve mensen - We hebben enorm genoten bij de super lieve Marc en Andrea. We werden met open armen ontvangen en kregen hele goede tips voor restaurants en musea (het regende toen wij in Rio waren en het was code rood op de stranden). Het ontbijt is helemaal geweldig. Super lekker vers brood, heerlijk fruit, en vers gebakken cake. Een perfecte manier om de dag te beginnen. Het uitzicht vanaf het grote terras is fenomenaal! De inrichting van deze accommodatie is prachtig, kleurrijk en kunstzinnig. De sfeer is heel fijn, er staat een gezellig muziekje op en je voelt je echt heel erg welkom. Er is ook een mooi zwembad, waar we helaas geen gebruik van hebben gemaakt omdat het regende, maar het zag er erg aantrekkelijk uit. Onderaan "de berg", ongeveer 20-25 minuten lopen, zitten meerdere restaurantjes. Prima te doen voor de heenweg, terug de bergop hebben we lekker een taxi genomen :-). De accommodatie is gevestigd in Laranjeiras, een stukje verder (10 minuten met de taxi bergop) ligt Santa Teresa, waar op maandagavond erg leuke live jazz muziek is! Op onze eerste avond waren we erg moe van de reis en heeft Andrea voor ons eten besteld, zodat we niet meer de deur uit hoefden, dat was ook heel erg fijn. Kortom een prachtige plek met super lieve mensen! Voor ons waren de bedden te zacht, waardoor ik steeds richting mijn man rolde en dus scheef lag, maar hardheid of zachtheid van een bed is natuurlijk altijd een kwestie van persoonlijke smaak. Hou er rekening mee dat je heel veel trappen moet beklimmen voor je in de woning bent, eerst helemaal naar de 4e verdieping en als je eenmaal binnen bent ook nog een trap om in de kamer te komen. De koffers werden gelukkig tot de 4e verdieping met een liftje gebracht, de laatste trap moet je ze dan wel nog even naar boven tillen, dus dat is goed om te weten.
• S (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf op een te gekke plek in het prachtige Rio. - Wat een prachtige accommodatie. Super artistiek ingericht, waanzinnig uitzicht en een heerlijk zwembad. Zalig ontbijt en echt super lieve eigenaren. We hebben er enorm van genoten!

• Philippe (10/5): - Dès que nous y avons posé nos pieds et nos bagages, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez des amis, dans un duplex très agréable et spacieux avec une vue imprenable sur le Pain de Sucre et le Mont du Corcovado. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir si nous revenons à Rio. C'est mon côté culinaire et un détail: une petite omelette ou des oeufs cuisinés accompagnés d'une salade de tomates et de concombre et d'huile d'olive et de citron vert auraient été plus appréciés que la charcuterie. Peut-être lors de notre prochain séjour si nous repassons à Rio.

• Morgane (10/5): Super séjour, comme à la maison - Andrea & Marc étaient incroyables, tellement doux et accueillants, et surtout bienveillants, à nous donner les meilleurs conseils de Rio pour vivre une expérience authentique. La maison est magnifique, avec beaucoup d’espace, une superbe piscine où s’y rafraîchir l’après midi quand il fait trop chaud, des chambres confortables, une vue incroyable sur la ville, le pain de sucre et le Cristo Redento. Tous les matins le petit déjeuner est servi sur la terrasse, et tout est fait par eux; les yaourts, le pain, la confiture, c’est délicieux. Nid Aigle est une ‘home away from home’ où l’on s’y sent bien et accueillis comme des rois!

Elke dag het gevarieerde ontbijt met fruit, zelfgemaakte yoghurt en zelfgebakken brood. De kamer werd tussendoor niet schoongemaakt en geen handoekenwissel. Maar als je vroeg om schone handdoeken was het geen probleem.

Amazing views. Super helpful hosts. Nid Aigle, Marc and Andrea really made our trip to Rio extra special. You need to be aware there are 3 flights of stairs to get to the accommodation, your luggage can go in the service lift. The view is totally worth the stairs.

• Lara (10/5): Creative loft with amazing shared spaces and good location - Amazing stay with excellent hosts in the heart of Rio. Property is in Laranjeras, close to the artsy St. Theresa neighbourhood. Easy to get anywhere else in the city as well by using the bus and then trains (bus stop 500m from door). Marc and Andrea went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. I loved the decor of this apartment! Something truly unique and beautiful. Would recommend. Breakfast was also AMAZING!

• Lucrezia (10/5): Cinque giorni a Rio - Struttura affascinante colorata in pieno stile Rio de Janero. Marc e Andrea super, gentili carini e disponibili. Ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa, ci hanno dato delle informazioni preziose. Colazione varia e super buona preparata da loro. Consigliamo a tutti di andare. Si Può raggiungere a piedi il treno per il Cristo Redentore. Se torniamo a Rio torneremo da loro! Vista mozzafiato (anche se noi abbiamo trovato molte nuvole) Non è un difetto ma Per spostarti devi prendere comunque un mezzo.

The hosts provided us with little details such as where to locate Toucans and monkeys which made our holiday even more special. The breakfast was tasty with exotic fruit and home made bread. Thanks for a simply wonderful stay!
• Corinne (9/5): Chambre d'hôtes parfaite -comme chez des amis- pour partir à la découverte de Rio - Reçus avec beaucoup de chaleur et de naturel, nous avons vraiment aimé passer 4 jours dans la maison de Marc et Andrea. L'appartement, style grand loft, situé tout en haut d'un immeuble, est ouvert sur une grande terrasse dont la vue est époustouflante sur une partie de la ville. Le petit-déjeuner sur la grande table de cette terrasse était un moment très agréable pour démarrer la journée. La localisation est parfaite pour rayonner. Les chambres et les salles de bain sont assez simples (douche pas très agréable d'utilisation, manque de possibilité de rangement, manque d'ensoleillement direct). Cela n'a aucunement terni l'expérience, l'ensemble était fonctionnel et la chambre n'était utilisée qu'en dehors des heures de sommeil. Uber ou taxi indispensable pour les restos et les visites (sauf pour le Corcovado atteignable à pied).

L'emplacement pas très loin de tout ( assez central ), de Copacabana, du pain de sucre , du Christ, etc Le pdj juste parfait ( variés , copieux, avec des gâteaux et du pain fait "maison") Et pour finir la vue sur le Corcovado est juste magnifique. • Henrik (10/5): Merveilleux - Ancienne usine d’embouteillage rénovée en un magnifique lieu design avec des demi étages partout dans la salle principale de vie. Lieu exceptionnel avec une vue exceptionnelle aussi. Belle piscine sur un espace détente arborée. Le must: les hôtes, Andrea, brésilienne mais bilingue en français et son mari Marc, français, sont tous deux extraordinaires. Accueil incroyable, plein de petites attentions, gentillesse sans limite. De nombreuses explications sur le Brésil, les choses à faire et surtout les tips pour les trajets et les lieux à faire tout en évitant les foules. Un petit déjeuner délicieux avec Marc qui fait des crêpes et surtout du pain à la française car la boulangerie n’est pas le fort des brésiliens. Bref, on se retrouve comme à la maison avec Marc et Andrea qu’on tutoie rapidement comme des amis. Nous ne recommandons pas, nous exigeons que vous passiez chez eux plutôt que d’aller dans un hôtel sans charme ni personnalité. Rien car tout était parfait

Start your day with home baked bread and fresh fruit before exploring the city. we were there in winter so we didn’t use the pool but it looks lovely. Take and Uber in front of the door. The owner are very nice and ready to help you with tips.

• Christelle (10/5): A LITTLE PARADISE, CALM AWAY FROM THE CROWD THOUGH STILL VERY CENTRAL - The artistic touch of the place, the home feeling, the cleanliness, the marvellous breakfast, Fatima’s discrete support… and of course the VIEW!!! For this additional night at the end of our journey, we stayed into town in a big international hotel, and really regretted so much to not have returned to NID Aigle 3 Suites. Big hotels are crowded, loud, queues, no personal service… Taking an Uber for each of our moves as soon as dark, but this is not typical of the area, this is more or less typical in Rio. We did move on feet during day-time and it was fine. Uber are very cheap compared to Europe, so no big deal.
• Vilma (9/5): The most beautifully designed apartment, not only in Rio, but maybe in the world (in my opinion) - The house was just so so so beautiful, i've never seen such a beautifully designed apartment. The host had designed it themselves! They spoke french, which was nice practice for me, and their friend, who spoke english, was very friendly to help me to plan my two night lasting trip. They also gave me a very safe feeling with lots of tips of what to do in a scary situation, as i was a woman travelling alone. I felt very good at this place. The breakfast mango was so fresh; I love mango in the morning! And the freshly baked baguettes of course felt very nice.
• Jennifer (10/5): This stay exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay and drawn in by the view of t - Everything. This place is a gem. It is truly a delight and a masterpiece. The place is full of love and art and there's so much inspiration on every corner - from the art on the door, to the plants in the garden to the hilltop views of the Cristo from the balcony. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Homemade bread on that balcony while taking in the views of the Cristo on the green hill was truly a blessing. Of the different angles of it from all over Rio, the privacy to reflect on its beauty was the most peaceful from this spot. Anyone who is able to experience it is so lucky. The place and stay was amazing. The hardest part was leaving. It is a privilege to be able to experience a unique sweet place like this one. It should be in a magazine ...if it isn't already.

They have a lovely BnB with a nice view on the Sugarloaf and Christo Redentor. Breakfast is really nice with homemade bread and pastry. Not much. But if I need to say 1 thing it is the hardness of the beds. They are rather firm.

• Castro (10/5): Incredible weekend getaway. I felt right at home. The authenticity blew me away. - It was full of character and to me it was Rio in a nutshell, the views, the coziness etc.. The stairs (because I’m lazy)

• Emma (10/5): Wonderful stay in Rio - The property is located in a neighborhood that felt less touristic than the other ones (what we really appreciated!). Yet, it is close to the Corcovado and easily accessible from anywhere else. Everything was perfect, both regarding the owners and the property. The owners are easily reachable and friendly and are in the image of their home: very welcoming. The host made us feel at home and was very careful about any detail. They were very helpful and gave us many nice recommendations! (+++: The breakfast with fresh bread and fruits, homemade jams and juice, all with an amazing view of the Christ redemptor, is everything you could dream of) Nothing! It was better than our expectations.

• Marieke (10/5): Wonderful stay at this hidden gem - Beautiful penthouse in the pleasant neighbourhood of Laranjeiras with stunning views over Rio de Janeiro from the terrace and the room’s balconies (with hamac!). The creative interior design, with the pool and garden look like from a magazine. Comfortable bed, good AC and good night sleep far away from the city noise. A delicious home made continental breakfast is included. But most of all, the hosts Marc and Andrea are wonderful, kind and fun people who take hospitality to the next level. The only problem of this place is that you will never want to go outside of the house to visit anything in Rio ;-) And you will never want to leave !

Not a lot around immediately the apartment but still close to other main attractions.

(It's a hidden place also because from the street you don't see there is beautiful amazing house up there) Every corner of the house was adorned with handmade creations, creating a truly special and immersive experience. The attention to detail and personalised touch made our stay unforgettable. The interiors are cozy and warm, every 10mins you start seeing more and more handmade details.
