• Sophie (10/5): Healing - This was the most pet friendly and comfortable and kind place I ever experienced. The staff were amazing, especially to my dog, and made sure his experience was just as relaxing and fun as mine. He didn’t want to leave. They were super respectful and always positive and went above and beyond to make sure everything was good. The hotel itself was the most calming environment I have ever been in, and always smelt amazing, in every room. The beds were insanely comfortable - like sleeping on a cloud and the views and air and snow were also amazing. You felt really healthy and happy here.

The service could be improved. The room service was not at its best. When we ordered water and a cappuccino to the room, it took hours to arrive and in the end was never delivered, despite several reminders.

Ainsi qu'à Sarah et Palo a l'accueil. Absence de nettoyage en journée. Relances a 15h15vet 16h34 pour enfin avoir un chambre propre. Merci à Suresh et Miriam qui ont corrigé un nettoyage défaillant le premier jour. Second turn down n'a consisté qu'à nous livrer deux bouteilles d'eau.

• Abigail (9/5): Super smart hotel in an amazing location with much attention to detail. - Breakfast was great, everything was spotless, loads of different drinks in the mini bar. Waldhotel spa was lovely and quiet. Views are amazing , all the furnishings were clean and modern and didn’t look tired at all. Staff were friendly and especially attentive in the verbena restaurant. This is me being super critical- there were a lot of flys about , in the restaurant, lobby, bar etc… A hot chocolate I had, I don’t think had seen any cocoa or chocolate. It would have been great to have fresh milk in the mini bar instead of little uht type packets. One night I think the goats near by were making so much noise with the bells around their necks, which was a nice sound to hear in the day but not when trying to sleep.

• Naresh (9/5): A picturesque stay at a resort with a Spa to completely relax in a surreal ambience - I stayed for two nights at the Burgenstock but was offered to stay 1 night at the Waldhotel, and second night at the Heritage/Palace Hotel property for a supplement payment, given the property had the access to the Alpine Spa [including the Infinity pool], whereas Waldhotel did not have the access to the same. Hence, I decided to opt for the same. The Waldhotel room was overlooking the mountains with some cottages with cows, with a very serene and green environment. Whereas the Heritage room was out of the world, as properly classified as 'A room with a view' of Lake Lucerne, and the mountains. It was very picturesque. I enjoyed every minute of being in the Alpine Spa (separate access to it costs circa CHF 215), including the Inifinity Pool, Indoor temperature controlled swimming pool, Spa area [particularly the Green Tea Steam Room / Menthol Steam]. The cost of the property per night is high. While the property is amazing, I would still say, it's fair to good value, given the cost is over CHF 1000 per night.

The staff goes out of the way to make your stay very enjoyable . We particularly appreciated the services and warmth of restaurant manager of Verbena restaurant and Scangar at Spices , who went out of the way to explain to us about the food and the history of Burgestock . the check out was a bit slow specially at 12 noon ,lots of people queuing up to depart.

The food in the restaurant was great and the staff were all helpful. The view from the window/balcony is great as it overlooks the mountains, forest and meadows. Our stay was generally very relaxing. - Hotel tried to overcharge me twice and if I didn't notice, I would have overpaid. First time we were presented with a full bill during the dinner even though we paid for the dinner in advance. This was fixed, but we had to complain and wait for the staff to resolve the situation. After the stay it turned out that the hotel made a charge on my credit card even though we have already paid through Booking.com. Again, the situation was resolved, but I had to call the hotel and fill a repayment form they sent me. Not only I lost time fixing this, but I believe that if I didn't notice the credit card charge myself the hotel would just keep the money... - Parts of the spa were closed at this time of the year - The pool is rather small - TV software is custom and even though the TVs are new and nice using them is rather cumbersome.
