Guest Reviews
- Ines (4/5): -
- Zachary Logan Troy (3/5): Definitely not the best but for a one night stay it’d be manageable. - It was close to the centre of shibuya. There was construction all day and then all night you could hear loud music and partying. Then the heat pump barely worked and didn’t work at all the first night but we managed to get it to work semi well during the rest of our stay. The deadbolt was broken which was a bit concerning. The toilet seat was broken.
- Stuart (2/5): Do not use this place! - I got a washing load done.
There is nothing else good about this place. The toilet seat was loose when I arrived and got progressively worse during use.
The toilet seat also didn't stay upright.
The shower drain was a bit blocked and so the drainage was slow and soaked the whole floor.
The bathroom must be at least 30 years old, with paint dribbles down tiles.
Opening the bathroom window felt like it would fall out! It was that old and broken.
The main picture on Booking.com is of the restaurant next door! It doesn't even show the actual property, hiding the fact the apartment block looks shabby, dirty and old.
The balcony overlooks a car park, with some buildings in the background. Not of the city as advertised.
The property is in a very busy nightlife area and was very noisy. Somewhere nearby a club or apartment were doing karaoke until 4.30. it was very loud. This was a Saturday night.
On Monday night, I woke up at about 5 and karaoke was on again until 6.30am!!
The pipe covers in the bathroom were old, dirt and mouldy in places.
The room itself has bare concrete walls and ceiling and felt like a prison cell.
This property should not be allowed to be rented out especially at the price charged. I could have got an APA room at just a little more than what I was charged but thought I would support a smaller local business.
I am travelling all over Japan and was most disappointed and upset to arrive at this place, knowing I had to stay for 4 nights!
I have stayed in better hostels in the countryside of Vietnam!!
- Emma (5/5): Passable - We were very disappointed with the state of the room. The bathroom was covered with mold, hair and garbage in the drain, and a very unpleasant smell. For some odd reason there were a pair of blue rubber boots left in the bathroom as well that was filled with old water. The toilet seat cover did not stay open so it would constantly fall onto your back when you were sitting down on the seat. We were so displeased by the state of the bathroom we kept the bathroom door closed the entire time to limit mold exposure and the smell permeating into the bed area. The balcony was also littered with used cigarettes. The AC unit was not usable as it would blow air that would make the room smell musty. We also didn't realize the air b&b is surrounded by love hotels, which made us feel not as safe as two young women travelling. Overall, we were very disappointed with the cleanliness and safety of this stay. We ended up leaving the next day and booked a hotel elsewhere. Thankfully, we were able to get a refund for our second night that we didn't stay.
- Samantha (7/5): Overall our stay was pleasant - Location was close to tourist spots and train station. Had a good vibe and nice to have a kitchen. Three flights of stairs were hard to manage with cases. Very noisy outside with people gathering in car park late at night. Room very small and bathroom quite outdated.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - Great overall location. Owner was very responsive and gave a handy pdf for the place and local area. 10 minute walk from Shibuya Scramble and shopping.
