• Manon (3/5): - Les espaces communs sont grands Trop peu d'équipement, 6 douches + toilettes c'est trop peu pour l'ensemble des personnes sur place. 1 cuisine tout petite + 2 plaques de cuisson, c'est clairement pas assez. Trop peu de place dans les frigo et pour ranger ses affaires...

• Jochim (2/5): - Near the beach and many cafes. Short walk or bus ride to town for gyms, drinks, or art galleries. The marina is a 30 minute walk on the beach front. A man was self pleasuring himself in the hostel and it took over a week for management to evict him. Not a safe area even in numbers, many members of the group were unfortunately robbed at the doors of the hostel and frequently catcalling.

• Diane (1/5): - Nothing Staff were unprofessional. No privacy. Kitchen facilities very dirty not safe to put food in fridge,could smell rotten food. Showers not clean.
• Diane (2/5): Sad accommodation venue, with excellent location, needs genuine professional input. - Close to shops,beach Arriving, booking in took ages. Requested a low bunk during booking process, no answer, was shown to high bunk. Was relocated to another room, no privacy, no curtain. All security doors are wedged open. Had to book a 2nd night due to personal circumstances, offered cash, the clerk stated no cash, which she sight in my hand. Stated I was going to have to leave to deposit funds. When I arrived back, I was locked out of my room, with all my belongings locked inside. I was extremely unhappy, lack of sleep, banging doors all night. People loud in corridors. I had to spend time looking for stay. Asked why this was happening, my time from booking had expired. Not very professional. Food not placed in bags in fridge. The fridge smelt terrible, hesitation to place food in fridge.

Good spaces for relaxing, clean kitchen, good wifi etc. Both draws under my pod were being used so I had no choice but to squeeze my bag into the little floor space there was (overflowing with longstayers stuff). With everything being set up through the Goki App, I don't know who the staff were.

Dustbins regularly emptied and washed out with hose Seems quiet at night but sleep unaided like a log. Work in indigenous communities and they sleep daytime up at night. Hear nothing. Don't have any suggestions presently

• Charlotte (8/5): - Les Backpackers sont très sympas ! La localisation est excellente. Super pratique pour prendre le ferry jusqu’à Magnetic Island et le Coles est à 2 min à pied. L’entretien n’était pas excellent. Les draps étaient tachés et le ménage laisse à désirer.

• Alexia (2/5): I would avoid this hostel at all costs! - The common area was clean. The room was absolutely filthy, with dirty plates and rubbish all across the floor. The cleaner came in during of my 2 night stay and completely ignored all this. The other residents of the room also had stuff across every bit of floor and shelves possible, so all the lockers were unavailable. The room I booked was supposed to be female only, but some of the people staying there invited men into the room, which I messaged reception about but didn’t receive an answer. The kitchen was small and dirty, with the shelves falling down.

Nice comfortable double bed. Towel provided. Very run down. One toilet and shower for a few shared rooms. Very dirty. Kitchen is a huge mess. Long term stayers have their stuff everywhere in the room, very messy, no storage. They kept leaving the dorm door ajar / unlocked which made me uncomfortable and felt like my belongings were not safe and secure

• Anita (6/5): Not Coming Back - Ample & secure parking. The staff are nice & friendly. Probably the cheapest place to stay in Townsville. Location is good, very near to the beach. I stayed in a mixed dorm where the occupants are mostly long term stay males. The room stinked with the occupants smelly clothing. Even after the windows open, the smell still lingers. The mattress is totally worn out. I'm sleeping on spring covered with bed sheet. This place is also very noisy. Dont expect to get rest during day time. Some even don't respect the 10pm quiet time. The kitchen, as many said, not very clean. There are lots of flies. What annoys me the most is, when one of the long term occupants cooking, her friends (I assumed also long term occupants) about 5 of them, cramped the small space, not to help with cooking but to chat. As if they can't chat elsewhere. It makes cooking a nightmare because of this people who didn't seem to realize that their presence is suffocating the small kitchen. This happened not only one time but a few times when I'm there. My suggestion is for the admin to put a note, "only people cooking can be inside the kitchen."

• Riccardo (7/5): Good - Breakfast isn’t included, but we have a kitchen and fridges. We cook, order food, or go to nearby places like Coles, McDonald's, or Subway. If it’s farther, delivery is usually an option. Be sure to change cash in Melbourne or Sydney before arriving. The atmosphere here is fantastic, with plenty of friendly people to talk to at any time of day. I’ve made many new friends, and the hostel is especially good at this time of year

Due to that I was unable to park my vehicle inside the building which irritates me alot. And I parked my vehicle in open street...... Should provide some facility by providing number on gate, if someone coming late can call and ask them to open gate for guests would be the better! Thanks
