Guest Reviews
- Blake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristie (8/5): Very good -
- Matt (9/5): conveniently located accommodation for Darling Harbour/ICC - House was really suitable location for us to go to the ICC. House clean and tidy. Cafe a couple of doors down was very good. Beds were a bit hard and pillows were really soft. Garage only for small cars (not sure I saw this info on the ad)
- Gordon (8/5): Very good - Fabulous location. Great facilities. Walking distance to everywhere.
- Bronwyn (7/5): Good -
- Janet (9/5): Would definitely recommend for a short stay. Local cafes and amenities were so convenient - Great location, easy access. Was perfect for what we needed Back porch area was a bit dingy and a few food scraps around
- Suzie (6/5): Pleasant - Great location Cleanliness could have been better. Floors and couch were dirty. Shower was mouldy. Carpet on stairs needs a clean
- Tricia (8/5): Very good - Conveniently located near the Casino ( we were there to see a show) and Darling Harbour. Place was neat and tidy and beds quite comfortable.
Note: There wasn't actually staff as this was an airbnb but I couldn't get past that question!
The host was very helpful and responded promptly to queries. Shower was a hand held that did not sit in the holder so could only wash with one hand.
Parking is only suitable for smaller cars i.e not big 4wd type vehicles
- Melinda (7/5): Good -
- Tarryn (9/5): Great location and comfortable stay - The property is in a great location and very easy to get to. it is comfortable and the beds were comfortable. Netflix was available on the tv which was a bonus also The stairs were very steep and we had young children. but they did enjoy going up and down them.
- Katherine (8/5): Superb location of quirky and fun property. Would return (but not with my octogenarian parents)! - Communication with our hosts was excellent. The location of the property is superb. And the townhouse itself had everything we needed for our brief one-night stay. I actually found this fun, but my 80-year-old mum struggled on the old stairs that are more like a ladder. And when I was warned that the garage around the back is for small cars only (thank you again for the heads up), it was no joke! Bring your shortest vehicle. (We coped perfectly well by rolling the garage door down to touching the car and it was perfectly safe.)
- Irene (4/5): Disappointing - The location and easy check in were fantastic. The property was incredibly dirty, you couldn't even walk around without shoes on. There were stains all over the lounge and the glassware was dirty.
There was piled up rubbish in the court yard.
- John (1/5): Bad -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Damith (1/5): Bad - Bath cubicle is not in a situation to use.
Need urgent repairs before hiring to next person
- Jeniveve (8/5): Very good - The customer service was excellent! Great location.
- Shiela (8/5): Very good -
- Shukran (8/5): Very good - The location
- Siripornkawin (7/5): Good - Location, kitchen, and the host' response The cleanliness; the floor is sticky and some unpleasant smell in some rooms
- Hajek (7/5): Family trip - Lovely space. Clean and tidy. Beds were a bit hard and not comfortable to sleep on.
- Emanuele (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect Location. Close to everything you need while travelling to Sydney. Host very communicative. Will go back 100%
- Simone (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): Thank you for a great place & good communication -
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Bronwyn (6/5): Good for a 1 night Last Minute (Cheap) Deal if you can get it but not worth paying full price - Location was perfect for what we were doing. Shower door was broken & almost fell off it's hinge which I reported but from the state of it I'm fairly certain it's been like that for some time (extremely dangerous). Although there is parking on the premises our car didn't fit properly in the garage so garage door couldn't be shut & struggled to even get car in. Owners can't be contacted after a certain time (10pm?) so if a problem occurs (couldn't get Netflix or even normal tv stations working) you'll have to wait until the next day. Also, as the bedrooms are upstairs if you have a problem with stairs be warned that they are incredibly narrow (older building) so care needs to be taken when going up & down them. For some reason nothing was plugged in except for the fridge so you will need to go around & plug everything back in to use it (lamps, tv, microwave etc).
- Stronach (6/5): It was alright for the price. - Property was good value for money and great location.
Bed was uncomfortable only provided one pillow and the bed was hard,my body was sore next day.Shower glass door needs repair.
- Wan (1/5): Horrible accom - Nothing Bedsheets were not washed. Outside and back looked rundown. Smelled piss in the dining room.
- Kim (8/5): Very good - Great location Had to pay for parking when there was an empty garage
- Shellbelle (9/5): We liked this location. A great place to stay. - This was a great location for us (family of 4 adults) within walking distance to the Lyric Theatre. The bus stops were out front and eateries only a couple of doors down. The outside areas were covered in leaves making for a shabby first impression.
- Sherree (6/5): Good location and good size for the price. Some incredible little restaurants next door. - Good location for the price and only 800m walk to Darling Harbour. The most incredible Italian restaurant and coffee shop next door and convenience store across the road. Lots of small restaurants including pizza, Chinese, English style pubs located within short walking distance. Was good to have 2 toilets. Kitchen was excellent with all required cooking equipment. 16 minute cab ride to the Opera House and bus stop 20 meters up the road. The property had a garage to park your car in, however our vehicle was too high (2.05m) therefore we had to pay and park up the road in secure parking facility costing $30 per day. Very hot upstairs with no air conditioning and only fans. No security screens on the windows therefore if they were left open, spiders and cockroaches could come through the window, not to mention easy to break into. The property was meant to have 2 free E bikes, however there were none.
- Samantha (7/5): Great location to Pyrmont & the city - The location was great, as it was within walking distance to the Star Casino. The WiFi didn't work, we found the modem and tried to use the sign on & password from that and it didn't work either.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Shaun (8/5): Very good -
- Bernie (9/5): Excellent stay and would consider again next time we are in Sydney. - The location and proximity to Darling Harbour. The hosts were very obliging and our thanks to them. The shower head didn’t have enough pressure but that is only a minor criticism. There are many comments from previous guests about the narrow staircase which in reality add to the allure of the property. We are in our 70s and managed the staircase.
- Daniel (2/5): To be honest I wish I didn’t book it, we were very disappointed. We should have booked hotel rooms - Shower screen broken, shower terrible. No access to carport. No maintenance to front of property.
Trying to understand how this can be booked out.
- Kirsty (5/5): Passable - Location was good Dirty laundry left in bathroom. Cleaning was not competed on time so could not check in. Nil aircon upstairs.
- Flory (9/5): Superb -
- Nu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (5/5): Very average. Accomodation over priced. - Location was quite good.
Communication with hosts was good.
Kitchen was adequate. Property seemed like it was in the process of being renovated.
Parts of house were dirty like the shower and the sofa and walls in the lounge room.
Beds were too low and a bit too firm.
- Manda (1/5): The worst place i have ever been to... EVER!! - Please contact me.
I didnt end up staying
The building was covered in mould, was filthy, the toilet was broken, its fence was held up by a plank of timber, it had a roach and spider infestation. I have video and photos Please contact me.
I didnt end up staying

I have no idea what photos the owner uploaded on Booking.com but rest assured. THEY ARE NOT OF THE PLACE THAT I RENTED OUT
- Mariana (8/5): Very good - Cute house, well-suited for our 2 day stay in Sydney.
We found the location good for exploring Sydney on foot (we enjoy walking).
The garage was very useful for parking our car during our stay. Parking is available but expensive on the surrounding streets.
The street can get noisy with traffic and workers. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.
Several previous comments mention the steep stairs leading to the upstairs bedrooms. We left our luggage downstairs to avoid taking it up.
Easy communication with hosts.
- Michelle (8/5): Lovely old terrace with fantastic location - Great location with an easy walk to pubs, cafes and Darling Harbour. Small grocery store with bottle shop across the road for convenience. Clean and tidy for a long weekend stay. Additional toilet upstairs so you don't have to negotiate stairs through the night. Understanding it's an old terrace house so it has narrow steep stairs - taking luggage upstairs can be tricky.
- Li (9/5): Superb - The landlord responded promptly, the house is in an excellent location. A great choice! Garage is a bit small for our SUV.
- Globits (5/5): Passable -
- Stacey (10/5): Great stay with friends, perfect location for us - Very convenient to Lyric Theatre. Lots of cafes near. We did not use the e-bikes as there was a large refundable deposit required.
- Pauline (5/5): Great location, very ordinary apartment. - Incredibly steep stairs, very dangerous. Very uncomfortable sofas and dining room chairs. The bathroom needs a good clean. The bedside lights had international plugs and not usable, very bad.
- Emma-louise (1/5): filthy, do not stay, no refund provided - nothing everything, there was mould growing on the walls, mould in the shoulder (filthy) mould on all the window!
- Leanne (8/5): Lovely terrace in Pyrmont - Great location, close to Lyric theatre and restaurants. Clean and comfortable Garage was a tight fit even for my Golf
- Johnson (9/5): Superb -
- Gill (8/5): Very good -
- Eve (7/5): Good - Location
- Thomas (10/5): Valuable property, in nice location - Very nice location Suitable for family
- Smithenbecker (5/5): 294 Harris St Pyrmont - it was clean and neat. The kitchen was lovely. The location was great. I didn't like the stairs, they would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. also the lamps in the front bedroom can't be plugged in. i would also like to see 4 mugs instead of 2 for the kitchen.
- Sharron (8/5): We had a great time in Sydney. - Situation very central, bus stop at the corner, grocer just across road. Comfortable beds, hot water, good pressure in shower. Steep stairs to bedrooms. Up stairs to small landing then up eight steep stairs which were not mentioned before arrival. $1,000 bond asked for for use of bikes. Again not mentioned until after booking.
- Bronwyn (8/5): Very good - Location, having toilet upstairs Beds and climbing up stairs
- Jane (10/5): cozy, clean and location is perfect - nice and cozy place. enough to stay overnight. location is perfect. great restaurants close to the place.
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Tee (10/5): Very well presented house, overall a good stay and value for money I find good. Recommended - Very well presented house, neat and clean. Check-in was easy. Questions are answered quickly. Staff was nice too. It was very kind of them to let us leave our stuff even though checkin time is at 3pm. Overall a good stay and value for money I find good. Recommended
- Gary (4/5): An event not to be repeated. - Good proximity to our show at Lyric Theatre & Darling Harbour. Pod coffee maker. Plenty of teabags and coffee sleeves. Noisy street. Busy thoroughfare. House has been renovated but very cheaply & basically. Cleanliness sub-optimal. Marks on sheets. Couple of cockroaches in bedrooms. Some cobwebs in lounge room. No attention to detail
For example : 1. Lamps in both bedrooms with Japanese plugs but no converters for Australian power points. 2. Upstairs toilet door doesn't close fully. 3. No extractor fans in either toilet but no odour sprays provided. 4. Ice cube tray small and was 2/3rds empty. 5. Front gate sticks and bangs into letterbox. 6. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms but no air con in bedrooms. I'd expect it would be cold in winter and v hot upstairs in summer. 7. Shower runnels had some mould. 8. Fly screen hanging partly off upstairs toilet window. 9. Shower leaks into the kitchen.
- Zoe (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (9/5): Great - Location is amazing we caught a train from central the light rail to Darling harbour then walked through a car park and arrive 5mins later. Great location as we had a concert at the ICCC
- Muralidharan (7/5): Wonderful place for the price and our family enjoyed staying there. - Location and easy access to bus and light rails are big plus. nice little cozy place and renovated kitchen and bathrooms are nice. Beds are comfortable. Shower and bedrooms on different floors is a weird layout but given the property may be very old it’s alright.
- Wayne (5/5): Passable - Stairs. I'm 65 and the stairs were too steep. I wouldn't stay their again.
- Sue (9/5): Superb - Private had it all to ourselves
- Vinodkumar (7/5): Good -
- Jane (7/5): Good location, handy apartment to explore city - Great location. Italian restaurant close by was excellent. Had all the amenities for an overnighter No lamps in bedroom and no spare blankets. Road quite noisy.
- Anthea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dunn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paris (6/5): Pleasant -
- Leonie (10/5): Townhouse 2 story great location - Great location, easy walk to Darling Harbour, shops 1 min away, major shopping centre only 5 min drive away. Parking station almost next door. Owner easy to communicate with. I didn’t like that the e-bikes aren’t included in your stay unless you pay $1000 deposit. This was not included in the advertisement and very disappointing.
- Haylee (10/5): BEST LOCATION - Absolutely perfect location for our trip to visit the Aquarium and Fish Market. Bus stop is right out the front, staff gives great communication! Apartment has 2 toilets 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. 'No parking available' is stated on the booking but there was a private empty garage. All the pillows were way to soft and there weren't any alternatives.
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. There were no tea bags or milk but there was a little supermarket around the corner so not a big deal.
- Ray (10/5): Comfortable and clean, perfect for our stay - Comfortable for our family and private Front garden needs a clean up to enhance a more welcoming first time experience
- Anil (7/5): Good - A warm and cozy place. Rubbish in front of the house.
The bathroom door key wasn't provided, had locked bathroom for few hours before the host organised the locksmith to come over and unlock it.
- Brenton-rule (8/5): Great value Great location - Fabulous location. Great comfortable roomy apartment. Perfect for our Sydney adventure.
- Staka (10/5): Exceptional - Superb superb apartment! Added experience for my friends and I staying here. Highly recommended!!!!!
- Gould (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Secure parking 5 minutes away. Clean on arrival. Great little work out climbing the stairs to the bedrooms. The description advertised says 2 free E-Bikes included. Please be advised I was asked to pay $1000 deposit and take a photo of myself holding identification. I was told the $1000 would be deposited back into my account after departing. I declined this offer. Perhaps the advertised description should be changed?
- Bomi (10/5): Exceptional - My friends and I had a comfortable stay in this apartment. We liked its modern interior and vibes. Questions were answered quickly. I'd say it's good value for money.
- Murvan (10/5): Exceptional - My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is as nice as we expected it.
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Mathijs (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent property and very convenient to USC activities. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm.
- Kay (8/5): Very good -
- Louisa (6/5): Pleasant - It was a great location. We had a fold out couch that we needed for our child and no extra linen no blankets or pillows for it.
The bath towels stunk and the shower door was broken and so hard to get into the shower.
- Baker (7/5): Clean and comfortable and the location was great - Great location A booklet with some local information would have been helpful
- Judith (3/5): Wouldn’t go back and definitely wouldn’t recommend - Great location, only a few metres to bus stop They didn’t even supply a tea bag!
I had to message for more loo paper.
Came out to massive cockroach in bathroom.
- Maija (10/5): Exceptional - First bed and breakfast my husband and I have stayed at. Loved it! The breakfasts are amazing. Definitely would come back if given the opportunity.
- Shackleton (8/5): Very good - Loved the space and convenience No tea or coffee and the stairs were a bit scary
- Kevin (6/5): Location was good, the stairs to the bedroo are very step. The deposit for the E-Bikes, should put put in the ad and not - Great location Very steep stairs, I have a bad knee and struggled getting up and down from the bedroom. After paying the deposit, was told if we wanted to use the E-Bikes, it would be $1000 deposit. I think this should be put in the ad - plus you can hire E-Bikes on the street if need for $5
- Hazwan (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annette (1/5): They false advertise. - Do yourself a favour, stay some where else We were defrauded of money, 2 e bikes were included in the price. They didn't give them to us, when we raised it with them they said the e bikes were free, so we didnt lose money. Don't book with these guys, they don't deliver on the advertising.
- Damien (8/5): Very good -
- Cara (8/5): perfect for staying a night or 2 with friends - location great to be able to get an uber quickly to our event. Convenient location to wander down to cafes for breaky in the morning. The accommodation had everything we needed the sofa and beds were not overly comfy, but they did the job.
Quite noisy outside. Could have done with a little bit of milk in the fridge for coffee.
- Haosen (8/5): Very good -
- Rosemary (10/5): Highly recommend, great accomodation in a fantastic location -
- Julia (7/5): Great location but many issues - The property location is absolutely fantastic, close to all attractions.
The kitchen is fully renovated and well stocked.
The manager sent a handyman to repair all the things we reported as broken on the same day.
Netflix was available for use, which came in handy, given that it rained 2 days out of 3 that we were there.
The furniture was clean and pleasant to sit on.
The air conditioner downstairs was fantastic and kept the place nice and toasty. 1. E-bikes listed in the ad were not available during our stay and no compensation was given, despite the fact that we were relying on these bikes for transportation and due to the lack of their availability had to pay out of pocket to hire bikes off the street. The inclusion of the bikes is a part of the service provided, when it is listed in the ad. It was very frustrating and disappointing that the property manager did not see it that way.
2. The shower door is broken and needs to be replaced. When we were there, we reported to the management that the shower door comes apart into 3 sections that all move on their own and could fall out at any time. They sent someone to repair the door, but they just re-assembled the door and put it back into place. As expected, the door fell apart again after the first use.
3. There was a damp smell on the ground floor and yellow water damage stains on the walls in the living room.
4. There was no dryer provided, just a washing machine and a clothes airer.
5. The bed mattress was not comfortable and close to the ground. The bed base was a pair of painted pallets. I am guessing it was the "look" they were going for, but when you bang your leg on these pallets, it's not a pleasant experience. It's quite easy to do because there isn't much space between the bed and the wall.
6. A few months ago, there was a review that mentioned black dust on top of the fans in the bedrooms. I can report that this dust is still there. It gets pretty hot and stuffy in the bedrooms upstairs, so even on a relatively cool day, you need the fans at night. So you have no choice but to breathe this dust, that is being spread throughout the room by the fans. It's so bad for your health. I don't get why if it's been reported previously, the cleaners were not instructed to clean it.
7. The staircase to go upstairs is quite steep and the steps are short, so you need to be careful when going up and down the stairs.
- Zoey (10/5): Older but clean and welcoming -
- Penni (7/5): Great place and great location - Great location Needs a spring clean- fans are covered in dust and the bathroom has mould.
- Han (10/5): Welcoming ^^ - We loved our night stay so much that we wished we’d stayed longer! We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Property manager was always on hand to help... and yet our stay was truly quiet and peaceful.
