Guest Reviews
- Noelle (8/5): Lovely, comfortable accommodation close to the station. - Proximity to the station was excellent.
Very clean. It would have been nice to have extra mugs.
1 of the mugs was chipped.
Balcony glass cracked.
- Yuan-Chih (7/5): - Le Parking n’est pas gratuit.
- giuseppe (7/5): - Posizione Troppo rumore(aerei e treni)
- Ravza (2/5): Misleading key info. Threatened with false key charges. Poor communication & no apology. Avoid! - The only positives I can mention are the sunset and the building's orientation :D Misinformation Regarding Key Collection and Drop-off --- The instructions provided for key collection and drop-off were inaccurate and caused significant disruption to our stay. The market refused to accept the keys, my family was close to missing their flight, and I had to return to the neighborhood to attempt to return the keys for a whole day.
Poor and Delayed Communication --- Despite the urgency of our situation as we were en route to the airport with family members, SMARTHOST's responses were delayed and unhelpful. They failed to provide a correct drop-off location in a timely manner, leading to unnecessary stress and wasted time.
Unjustified Threats of Charges --- We were wrongly accused of losing 'GREEN LOB keys,' which were never provided to us. This was accompanied by threats of being charged for these non-existent keys, adding further frustration to an already difficult situation.
Lack of Customer Service and Resolution --- There was a complete lack of apology or any proactive attempt to resolve the issues caused by their misinformation. Even after explaining the situation and providing evidence, their response was inadequate.

- Alessandro (8/5): Great location but key collection was a bit of a hassle - Nice place to stay if you want to visit London. The apartment in Battersea was a good choice, offering convenient access to central London. The rooms were spacious, and the overall condition of the apartment was good, providing a comfortable stay. The balcony was a nice touch, perfect for some fresh air, and the lift in the stairs was quite handy for carrying luggage. It’s a good option for anyone looking to explore the city while staying in a well-located area. We'll probably sleep at the apartment again if we plan another trip to London Keys collection /dropping has to be improved:
We arrived at 15:00 to collect the keys from a nearby food shop, as instructed. Unfortunately, the code provided had expired, making it impossible to retrieve the keys until approximately 3:25 PM. Even then, the keys were not available because the cleaner was still at the apartment. Ultimately, we had to collect the keys directly from the cleaner at the food shop at 15:30
Also, when we left, I had to drop my family at Stansted Airport. However, I had to return to the area after driving to the airport because the same shop where I was supposed to drop off the keys was closed at the time we departed even tho it was saying open from 06:00. I get it was new year so opening time might change but still i had to loose more than 1hr of driving for nothing.
- Mirko (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (1/5): A scam??? - Nothing We didn't get to stay here so its hard to know if it was a nice place. We arrived from Australia and were in the taxi on the way to our accommodation when I discovered a message had been sent whilst we were in flight to say the host didn't mange the accommodation anymore as of 14 hours ago. This was pretty disappointing and we had to find something else fast for our family of 4.
I have been in contact many times to get a refund but the host doesn't answer so expedia wont believe me that the host cancelled despite written evidence, given the host didn't cancel the booking in expedia and it looks as if we stayed here. I am never been so disappointed with expedia as we are out of pocket a lot of money and are still trying to get a refund after 2 whole weeks! I have been told to be patient and wait 72 hours twice, with still no outcome. It has been longer than this due to the Christmas period. Expedia can you contact me about this please
- Leslie (8/5): Very good -
- Ilya (6/5): It's an OK stay, but don't fall for the photos - The location is fantastic, just off the busy Clapham Junction, on a quite (albeit slightly spooky) street around the corner. Many buses and trains at your doorstep. The views over the local area are quite nice. Nothing extraordinary, but plenty of natural light and
The check-in instructions sent by the host were fabulous, very clear and detailed. The host kindly allowed as to check-in couple hours earlier than allowed.
Overall it was an ok experience Don't get your spirits too high.
First of all the apartment is only suitable for 4 people, not for 5 as advertised. The fold out sofa in the kitchen is not an option for more than one day.
Secondly, the photos are kinda accurate but you have to age everything you see by 5-10 years. It's not as sparkling and cozy as it seems on the photos. Everything looks tired and unloved, like you are visiting an old aunt that stopped caring and started hoarding things.
Yes, there are tons of things that are just unnecessary, or belong to the owner who doesn't bother to move them away. We had a sack of coal in the kitchen (!), multiple food items / leftovers from the previous guests, random furniture objects etc.
Yet, there were no dishwasher tablets or washing powder - not for one day, we had to bul but it and leave it for the future guests.
The bathroom handle was broken outright (there were multiple holes i.e. many attempts to fix it), one of the down lights malfunctioned and the bathroom cabinet was barely breathing, with signs of mould over the place. All that gives you an impression of a shared dormitory bathroom. The side of the bathtub you have to step over was unusually high, with no stepstool provided to reduce the risk of falling.
Look, overall it could be fine, if not for the lack of care for the apartment, inflated expectations and fairly high price. We still enjoyed our visit to London, but if we had known the reality of the apartment, we would certainly choose something else.
- Lutfa (7/5): Overall, it was an enjoyable and comfortable stay and the host was very prompt and supportive. - Great location. Great balcony view. Cozy flat. Quiet location. Plenty convenience shops and restaurants nearby. Beautiful Battersea Park nearby. Furniture is a little tired and could do with an upgrade.
- Osama (10/5): No - Very good Everything
