• Angela (8/5): Great place to stay. Would highly recommend. - Bed and shower were great as was the size of the room and the sitting area. Across the road from the train station meant getting around was easy. Airconditioning was gorgeous. The lighting in the room was poor. This may have been exacerbated by the fact we had a roofed courtyard room. Also we came back to our room at 2pm one day and it hadn’t been cleaned so we had no tea and coffee. When we notified reception it was rectified within 1/2 hour.

I loved the design concept and the history of its transition from the original building to the newer tower that resulted in it winning awards. I loved the size, the thoughtful design throughout and the intimacy of the experience provided by its relatively small imprint. The noise from the air-conditioning in the first suite I was in.

The lighting in the bedroom is unmanageable for someone not so used to current day low lighting. Insufficient for reading. The system is flawed too as you need to turn everything off at once on occasions.

• Thibaut (10/5): Magnifique hotel design - Bel hotel au design super. Bien situé en Quay Clarke et Chinatown. Le métro n'est pas loin non plus. Tout peut se faire à pieds (Merlion, MBS, Chinatown, Arab Street etc.) Les chambres sont confortables avec une vue sur la skyline (selon la catégorie de chambre). Le personnel est super et rapide. Rien à redire Si je devais donner un défaut c'est l'inégalité de vue entre les chambres. Mon ami dans une chambre en dessous avait vue sur un mur alors que moi j'avais une vue sur la skyline. La piscine est cool mais pas adapté pour se poser plusieurs heures (pas de transat).

A nosotros nos encantan los establecimientos boutique pero que tengan estilo y sabor. Este hotel no tiene nada de eso. La decoración está bien. Sin más. Un servicio que no es propio de un hotel de esta supuesta categoría. Ningún detalle. Habitaciones pequeñas. Y algunas muy ruidosas. A nosotros nos dieron una que daba a la calle principal y era imposible descansar. Se oían constantemente los coches. Las ventanas no están adecuadamente insonorizadas. Es cierto que reclamamos y nos cambiaron. Pero tuvimos que llevar nosotros las maletas. No vinieron a recogerlas para cambiarlas. Y el regalito de bienvenida (unas cajitas muy monas) se quedaron en la habitación de la que nos fuimos a los pocos minutos de llegar (porque el ruido era tan evidente que enseguida llamamos a recepción para que nos cambiasen de habitación). Nadie tuvo el detalle de llevarlas a la nueva habitación o de darnos unas nuevas. Nos quedamos sin ellas. Porque daba pereza tener que pedirlo todo. No había ninguna iniciativa por parte del personal. Y al día siguiente otra sorpresa… cuando regresamos de nuestra visita turística, sobre las cinco de la tarde, la habitación no estaba hecha. Tuvimos que dar aviso. Y la primera noche, al volver de cenar, el recepcionista ni se dio cuenta de nuestra entrada, estaba ensimismado con su móvil. En fin, un hotel de esta categoría y que está entre los 10 mejores hoteles de Singapur, según la revista Condé Nast, no puede permitirse cosas como estas. Las vistas no pueden suplir todas las faltas. No es un hotel de 5 estrellas. Ni se aproxima. Una lástima. Porque no es barato.

• Matthias (8/5): Klein aber fein mit toller Lage. Würde ich jederzeit wieder wählen. - Tolle Lage, unmittelbar neben der MRT Station Clarks Quai und einer Busstation mit vielen wichtigen Buslinien. Unterkunft ist eher klein und überschaubar und somit herrscht eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Zimmer war eher dunkel und man hatte das Gefühl, dass die Luftfeuchtigkeit eher hoch war. Die Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen. Das Bett ist eher kurz.

Es gab ein kleines Problem mit unserem Zimmer welches umgehend durch ein kostenloses Upgrade gelöst wurde - wirklich sehr professionell! Zimmer sind etwas klein.

There was a gentle scent of coconut trees lingering in the air, and the natural ventilation throughout the building was thoughtfully designed. Even in the tropical heat, a soft breeze seemed to wrap around you like a quiet welcome. Under the slow rhythm of the ceiling fan, sleep came easily and peacefully. 🌿 The complimentary water was surprisingly delicious, clearly chosen with care. The body lotion and soap also had a distinctive fragrance that made the stay feel a little more special, a small detail that lingered in memory. If I return to Singapore again, I know I will choose to stay here once more.

• MK (10/5): Combination of historic elements with modern comfort - The 21 Carpenter Hotel ist wirklich ein besonderes Boutique Hotel. Tolle Lage, zentral und gut angebunden. Uns hat das Design des Hotels sehr angesprochen, vom Eingangsbereich über das Restaurant bis hin zu unserem Raum war alles sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, viele Details des alten historischen Gebäudes verbunden mit modernen Stilen, tolle Kunst und Metallinstallationen sogar im Aufzug und auf der Gartenterrasse. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und das Zimmer war großzügig und zweckmäßig ausgestattet (sogar mit kleiner Kitchenette). Das Bad hätte etwas größer sein können, im Vergleich zum übrigen Platz in der Suite, insbesondere mehr Ablagen oder Garderobe wären schön.

• Qi (8/5): 地点绝对优秀，吃饭，逛逛都很方便。但是房间过于窄小，行李带得多的不适合。 - 房间相对于房价来说非常小，室外景色虽远远可见金沙酒店，但是楼层偏低，看到的大部分景色是对面楼房屋顶，而且窗外有铁饰拦住窗子，视野不好，有点压抑。下午入住看到对面楼房餐厅人员在对面楼房屋顶集中培训。顶楼的无边泳池只适合拍照，小孩子从圣淘沙度假酒店check out转住，正在玩水的兴头，换了衣服跑去游泳，发现只能蹚水玩玩。^^

• Khaled (9/5): The Hotel made my visit and experience in Singapore unforgettable. - I liked the elegant style of the Hotel and the room. The location was so convenient, and my stay was very comfortable. Friendly staff and helpful when you need help and assistance. I really liked the style and size of the room, but it was overstuffed with the furniture. I hardly find space to move around the room because the size of the furniture was too huge compared to the size of the room. I would suggest less furniture in the room to allow more space for movement. Also, I didn't like the swimming pool. It was too small and the Pool area was NOT so nice.

• Dale (10/5): Excellent service and location. - Breakfast was excellent and being a small hotel the staff remembered you each day. Excellent service as every request was met swiftly. Bathroom lighting was very poor for putting on makeup.

In-house restaurant Kee's was a highlight of our trip, offering outstanding cuisine in a beautifully designed setting. The boutique atmosphere and attention to detail throughout the property made it a truly memorable experience.

• Hickey (8/5): Beautiful hotel in a great location - The location was excellent. The hotel is close to transport, restaurants and the river. Rooms not as spacious as I thought they would be.

In sostanza ho prenotato una camera prenotabile per 3 persone dando per scontato un matrimoniale e un singolo già presente o aggiunto al momento. Invece all'arrivo scopri che l'hotel ha solo camere doppie con letto matrimoniale king size e da per scontato che se prenotiate per 3 vi vada bene dormire tutti nello stesso letto. Valutate voi.

• Pearl (10/5): Key to Clarke Quay - Loved how the hotel staff from reception to Kee's dining were approachable. Kids were welcomed and accommodated to during the stay. Roof top pool size and depth was adequate for young ones to experience and cool off. The separate room in the heritage suite was well received as well as bathroom amenities, perfect water pressure. Perhaps a larger rubbish bin or a bin with a lid to keep rubbish in place/enclosed.

• Jakob (9/5): Great place, location, service and hospitality - The location, design, food and managers efforts to make the stay a great experience inspite of some cleaning hickups with our room upon checkin. They housekeeping/cleaning does not meet a 5 star level, when brought to attention to the manager right after check in, Mrs. Tann handeled it very well and the room was entirely recleaned.
