- Julie (1/5): Terrible - This property were very non compliant. Happy to take our $1,400 AUD for two nights and avoided most messages I sent through. I ended up calling the Booking.com customer service number I was so frustrated. I had to chase the property on arrival as no code was sent to enter the property. I was asked to send iID to prove who I was, when I tried to call the property number provided I was told to message through WhatsApp?? We then had to walk down the road to collect the key.after 1 hour we were finally able to enter the property to be faced with 3 steep flights of stairs with my 76 y/o father. When we first arrived at the property a female in the bottom floor unit (left if facing door) kept on opening and closing her blinds then was taking photos of us - weird it went on a few time during the hour we waited to get into the property.
We purchased food at Tesco to cook, the oven doesn’t work waste of time and food.
I reported via the robotic message system on Booking. Was told sorry will report it. Was sent another message the next day asking what time we were leaving as the technician will come once we are gone.
1 coffee cup for 5 of us
3 forks
No tea spoons (hello we are in London)
No tea towels
No wine glasses
No bath mats
No toiletries soap etc
Main room had a broken blind string and moving toilet seat
Floor was absolutely squeaky
I received an auto message prior to departure asking to leave the key in the safe box at unit - um there wasn’t one, remember we had to walk to collect it.
I left a note on the bench be fire I left for the cleaner hoping someone would do something or contact someone.
I don’t feel this property is suitable for rental on Booking or anywhere until this is attended to.
- Chris (5/5): Passable - Location Horrible smell in the kitchen!!
Squeaky floors
Key nest a long way from apartment
- Katherine (3/5): Very disappointing experience - Great location, just off Kings Road, on good bus routes.
Comfortable beds. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience from start to finish. The apartment bears little resemblance to the listing.
The first red flag was needing to pick the keys up from a shop that’s a good 10 minutes or so from the flat. To add insult to injury, this shop, which the keys needed to be returned to, was only open from 10am. Check-out time was by 10am. The complete lack of flexibility or info upfront about this was shocking. If we’d known this in advance, we would never have booked this place. When it came to check-out, the owner eventually allowed us to leave the keys in the flat. After all, if I’m due in at work at 9am, but I can’t leave the keys at the shop til 10am, how on earth does that work?
The flat was in a bad state of disrepair throughout. Stains on carpets (including chewing gum on the carpet in my friend’s room) and walls and sticky wooden floor.
The sash window in my bedroom was broken, rotten and unable to shut. A security risk as well as being highly annoying. This would have been a nightmare had the weather not been fine. No warning about this from the owner…
The wardrobe in my friend’s room was unusable and full of stuff for the house, so she couldn’t hang anything up. Her en-suite bathroom was disgusting. The shower tray wouldn’t drain and the smell was vile.
The kitchen was certainly not fully-equipped, as described on the listing. A couple of glasses and one cup is not what I’d call equipped. The cupboards were sticky to the touch.
All highly disappointing and we could not recommend this apartment. Such a shame as it has potential but to be a lovely place:
- Lesa (7/5): Pleasant area and very comfortable - Very spacious apartment and comfortable The kitchen should have a supply to match the available capacity of the apartment. 1 mug for 3 adults?
- Stubbings (6/5): Pleasant - Was good price but apartment very tired looking and would not be able to recommend Quite run down but cheap
- Ileana (8/5): Very good - Good price for the location. Getting the keys was complicated. The pick-up point is 10 min walk, which is a challenge when you have big luggage. I would strongly suggest the hosts to inform the guests beforehand regarding the keys pickup point
- Sally (10/5): Large apartment in a great location - Absolutely amazing location and great price, loads of room and we are definitely booking again There were no cups but it didn’t really affect us
- Iserae (7/5): Good -
- Marlene (4/5): Disappointing - The location is good just off Kings Road. Level 15-20 minute level walk to Chelsea Flower Show and within easy reach of Sloane Square Tube Station. Information about the key collection was very last minute and unclear. I was unaware of what a 'Key Nest' is and that was not explained to me. The mattress on one of the double beds was very uncomforable. It was possible to feel all the springs in the bed. My niece had an awful nights sleep. In the ensuite shower room there was obviously a problem with the drains. The smell of sewage was strong and I chose to shower in the main bathroom because the smell made me feel ill. (I realised why a toilet plunger was provided). There was nasty brown stain on the carpet next to the bed in the master bedroom. The kitchen was equipped with one mug. The box of Mouse & Rat Killer in the kitchen cupboard was off-putting. The windows in the comfortably furnished lounge were very dirty and you couldn't see out of them. Also, I booked an additional nights stay with the property management company 'Aura Stays' and paid them directly. I then received a message 10days later from Aura explaining they had overbooked and they cancelled the additional nights accommodation. They offered a refund but to date inspite of emails and text messages no monies have been received and they are not contactable by telephone.
- Jacynth (5/5): Passable - Nice bathrooms and comfy beds. Apartment very clean.
Ok for a one night stay and our visit to Chelsea Flower Show. Poor Directions and misleading address. Kitchen lacking. No tea towels or oven gloves. Kettle not working
One mug only. Apartment can sleep.at.least 6 so not acceptable. Minimal cutlery too.
- Pamella (4/5): Disappointing - Beds clean and comfortable
Reasonably quiet location Only one mug and 3 forks in apartment so had to buy our own mugs despite messaging host and asking for cutlery and mugs - they replied "no problem" but none were ever delivered
. No big plates only side plates .kettle broken so had to boil pans of water . No hand towels for bathroom and no dish towel to dry dishes .
Plant pot on balcony full of cigarette butt's.
- Timothy (8/5): Great location and affordable! Responsive staff. - Location Bed quality was low. Sheets were very thin. Needed another set of keys.
- Matt (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic place to stay
- Tamar (8/5): Very good - Great location, lots of space, very comfortable, great hosts. The kitchen wasn't very well equipped- only one mug! Overall, I recomend it :)
- Natasha (10/5): Visited London and visited the sites . Great location. Amazing mini break . - Lots of space, fully equipped, close to public transport. Really good value for money. Great communication before arrival . Easy check in. Recommend.
- Darren (6/5): With heating and hot water the apartment would have been ideal , as it is I’m disappointed! - The property is well presented, spacious, clean . The 3 bedrooms were exactly what we wanted. Itis located close to shops and restaurants and about a 20 minute walk to South Kensington Tube. There was a problem with the boiler , so there was no hot water during our stay, so cold showers or nothing and no heating in the apartment, which for a stay in early March detracted from enjoyment of our stay!
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very accommodating by letting us check out late
- Christopher (10/5): Great comfortable home from home - Great location
Lovely homely feel No parking
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalia (5/5): Poor check-in, unresponsive host, and multiple property issues—only the price and location were positives. - Despite the various drawbacks, the only real positives were the exceptionally low price, thanks to a discount through Booking, and the convenient location—but that’s where the benefits ended. There were no check-in instructions provided, and the address listed on Booking was incorrect. We had to chase the host on the day of arrival, and the check-in process took an hour. The host does not answer calls and only responds via WhatsApp messages.
The property itself had numerous issues: extremely squeaky floors, leaky bathrooms, inconsistent heating that was either too hot or too cold, thin curtains, uncomfortable beds, a kettle that didn’t always work, and only one cup available. The kitchen and furniture were very dated, with some pieces partially broken. Additionally, we found rat poison on the property—which speaks for itself.
- Bhatti (9/5): Superb -
- Jayesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann (7/5): Good location, nice, quiet and warm place - just lacking in supplies and amenities in kitchen. - The location of the place was great. It was also good to have 2 bathrooms. The place was very clean, quiet and warm. It was good to have WiFi, even though the listing said no internet access. It was good to have a spare folding camp bed in case anyone needed it. The place was decorated nicely and was convenient for Chelsea. Despite some issues with collecting the key (see below) the owner was good about communication. Overall it was a good place to stay and fairly good value for money. There were not enough cups/mugs for 6 people and at least 1 mug had a chip/crack in it. The kettle intermittently worked. We could not get the microwave to work - kept going to "Locked" symbol on screen with any button pressed. The hallway floor was very creaky which meant that if anyone got up in the night for the toilet it might wake up others. No bath mats and the floor in the main bathroom would get nearly flooded/soaking wet when used shower, as the glass screen did not touch the bath, so water would go onto the floor easily. Mattress in one of the bedrooms was lumpy. We also did not get the code for collecting the key from the nearby shop until after check-in time and after I messaged and rang the owner several times, which meant my elderly mother-in-law had to wait for it for over 40 minutes after her long journey to get to the property.
- Ethan (10/5): Very enjoyable ! - The property was spacious and had everything we needed for a great few nights away !
Bedrooms were a good size and suited each one of us nicely, great amount of room for clothes and personal items.
Overall a great place to stay whether it be a week or a few days!
- Karin (6/5): Huge flat but in need of a good clean and replacement of contents and recarpeting - Very spacious flat -amazing location. Good heating. Decent bathrooms. Unresponsive management - they did not address any of our queries/requests during our one week stay.
Tired furniture in need of replacement (eg living room sofas) , dirty bedroom carpets (needs recarpeting) and kitchen needs good clean and replacement of all contents - lots of chipped China and a lot of missing things.
Clothes Cupboards filled with loads of extra cushions and hoovers and stuff etc so had to spend time emptying all of them first before being able to unpack.
They did let us check out one hour later than usual so thank you. But that wasn’t enough to compensate for the lack of responsiveness & issues above.
- Christopher (8/5): Great value for money and great place. - Great Location and Value for money. Load of space and was well equipt. It was a great place for three work friends to stay for a 1 night overnight stay. Getting the keys was a 45-minute process with less than helpful shop staff. I think this was a blip but the staff where not helpful at all.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lily (9/5): Great value, great location. - Great location on main bus routes and a short walk from Sloane Square tube station. Very comfortable and spacious apartment. Would highly recommend. Needs to update the glasses and cups in the kitchen cupboard otherwise we were well catered for.
- Keeley (3/5): Disappointed. This could have been a great place to stay. - The location, cleanliness & size of the property were the only plus sides to this stay… Very tired bathrooms & kitchen, broken light fittings. Huge headache collecting the keys with unhelpful staff sending us to the wrong location despite our queries.
- Sarah (8/5): Spacious, bright, and an excellent location. Old school London. - Lovely spacious, bright apparttment. very generous master bedroom looking onto garden, quiet. Yes the flat is older but it is bright, the beds are comfy, it's quiet and has an amazing location. A great spot for a family to stay. It would be a good idea to explain keys need to be returned to point of collection.
- Silvester (9/5): Nice apartment! - The size of the apartment, good location close to a busier street with many shops and restaurants/cafés, the accommodation is very well equipped. We would appreciate it if there were adapters into the sockets for European travellers. The check-in was a little confusing, you have to pick the keys up in a shop that's 10mins on foot.
- Carla (7/5): Great apartment needing some extra care - Well decorated apartment and bright rooms! Transportation in front of the house supermarket an and bars a step away. For such a price the appliances were non existant . Not enough glasses and mugs .
One of the bathroom need some special cleaning as the odour was really unpleasant
- Suki (6/5): Location great, tired apartment with old appliances. - Location was great. One room is an en-suite which isn't In the description so having that and a main bathroom was a plus. Comfortable beds. Really nice part of London. Very old and tired looking. Stains on some walls. You can hear a lot of outside noise in this apartment. Another resident was in an out around 2am and was playing a guitar during the night so we found it difficult to sleep. No WiFi. Apartment wasn't ready when we arrived. Cleaner was still in the property and we had to wait and were moved from room to room. No apology from the company just advised it was due to traffic. Also had a phone call on day 2 advising the landlord wanted to come check the locks on door when we were out of the property. Not something that should be done while you have occupancy or without prior approval.
- Francisco (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing not to like
- Charlotte (4/5): Disappointing. - Large space. Reasonable location for transport links. Poorly cleaned (banana skin and chocolate wrappers under bed & crumbs on bedroom floor). No WiFi or TV connection. Extremely noisy neighbours. Loud music until 3am each morning.
Poor communication from owners. For instance a sentimental item of clothing was left accidentally, which we would have been happy to collect. Property manager claimed it had gone straight away. Would avoid this property.
- Wai (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (1/5): Abysmal. Do not go here! - Really disliked everything. It was unsafe. I got electrocuted due to their poor electrics. Door could easily be broken into as it has a big hole in the front door!
Windows do not close or lock so people can get in.
The directions and getting to the property is confusing and difficult.
The quality of space is terrible. Most things broken and smelly. Bed uncomfortable. Space unwelcoming.
Asked in advance if there would be an iron. Was told there was but the one that was there was broken.
Tried to contact the property for help. Two different WhatsApp contacts only. They do not take phone calls. They are unresponsive and non-existent.
Flat above makes a lot of noise moving around so terrible night sleep.
The bathroom is mouldy and smells very bad.
You could not pay me to return here.
This property should be reported to the Health & Safety executive and shut down from public use. Please do not use this property, it is unsafe.
- Tanya (5/5): Stay somewhere else. The building doesn’t allow short term rentals. The whole experience was hush hush and shady. - Location Cleaningness
No internet
- Desarta (8/5): Very good -
- Abdinasir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (8/5): Very good -
- Opeyemi (10/5): Perfect property for group stay - The property looked exactly like the pictures. The balcony was a great addition. It wasn’t too cold or too hot in the house, it was perfect temperature. Great location and check in process is very easy The lights in two of the bedrooms were difficult to turn on but you just needed to be patient. The bathrooms had a bit of a weird smell when we checked in but we just opened the windows and it was fine :)
- Gareth (1/5): Disappointing don’t believe the pics - Location No working TV
No working internet
Strong smell in one of the bedrooms
Hole in the wall in bathroom
Nasty hallway and steep stairs
- Plator (10/5): Exceptional -
- Radulescu (8/5): Very good - The location Wifi did not work at all, the windows were bad and the wind was blowing through them, the hall floor was made by wood and it was very noisy when you walk in
- Amy (5/5): Not baby friendly but okay for a group of adults with the issues above fixed - The location. Outside is a typical Chelsea house. Looked very grand. my mum stayed here with my children. She had quite a lot of issues with the property but unfortunately couldn’t cancel her 2 nights as she was there for my wedding and the location was perfect with 2 children. There was an iron mark on the floor. One of the chair arms was broke. Rusty microwave. Internet didn’t work and couldn’t connect tv as it was too far from a plug socket. The key lock box isn’t actually secure as it’s got a screw loose. I think it also had a lot of stuff if you want to stay with a baby you have to move a lot of the flowers etc plus the amount of stairs with a buggy probably isn’t that convenient. I think a group of adults it would actually be okay if you didn’t need tv or internet.
- Amy (5/5): Overall my mum was really disappointed, on the outside and surface looks nice until you actually stay there and find fau - Good location my mum stayed here with my children. She had quite a lot of issues with the properly but unfortunately couldn’t cancel her 2 nights as she was there for my wedding and the location with 2 kids was too good to leave. There was an iron mark on the floor. One of the chairs arms was broke. Rusty microwave. Internet didn’t work and couldn’t connect tv as it was too far from a plug socket. The key lock box isn’t actually secure as it’s for a screw loose. These are the few complaints I can remember off the top of my head whilst travelling home. I did contact the owner and just got a standard response
- Igor (8/5): Very good - Comfortable apartment. Close to the bus stop, shops... They beed to renovate bathrooms.
- Rehana (8/5): Very good - Spacious apartment
Good location although not advertised accurately
Good facilities Floorboards are too noisy/creaky
No wifi - was available but didn't work
Would be good if bathrooms had a bin
- Berkay (7/5): Good -
- Ita (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Fantastic value for money. - Great location.
Large, clean and very comfortable. Homely.
All home comforts. Crockery could be a little better.
- Karina (7/5): Good place - Nice place overall good No wi fi or no password provided, the lock box was stuck we didn't get much help stick in the cold with baby and was about to leave and go to find Another place but somehow my husband opened the key box ....
Some light bulbs are missing out not working, no bins in the toilets which was strange , floor cracking...but not big deal the place is nice just need a bit more good management and host helping. Difficult to get to the host if something
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional - The flat was lovely and comfortable even though it was on a main road you couldn't hear anything outside would definitely stay again
- Nadia (7/5): Nice apt in Chelsea, just need to b clearer with address and key instructions - Spacious and clean. And Chelsea is a lovely area Location very misleading, nowhere near Sloane Square! It’s in Chelsea, which is fine it that’s where you want to stay. Communication Regards key and location horrific, we assumed we were scammed, standing in rain on street trying to get in
- Pilar (6/5): Pleasant - The location was convenient. The address in the add was wrong. It is a very old apartment and the floor creaks anytime we walked through the corridor. Sofa upholstery very dirty, plus no batteries in the TV remote control, so we couldn't watch it.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aamir (5/5): Overpriced and unhelpful staff - Good location The staff were very unhelpful. I sent a query 3 weeks before checkin and I chased up by phone and email 4 times. I only received a response 1 day before I was supposed to arrive.
I had asked about checking in a couple of hours early but because I didn’t get a response I wasn’t able to properly plan until 1 day before.
Very unprofessional especially for how much they are charging.
The place was nice inside but as usual looks much nicer in the pictures
- Aimee (7/5): Great locations… make sure you have the full address first as address given is misleading - Great location It was hard to find with instructions but have feed that back to owners. We thought we had been scammed but hadn’t - thankfully
- Chris (8/5): Big clean simple 3 bed flat thats great value for money - Spacious, simple 3 bed 2nd floor (no lift) flat in a nice area, easy to get into west end via uber/tube/bus etc.
We didnt use the kitchen as it was just an overnight so can't comment but beds etc were comfy. Little bit of noise from the flat downstairs but not a problem. The staff were helpful, letting us drop our bags off early, which was much appreciated when travelling with an 80 year old to see a show! At one point the comms was a bit confused, we were getting whatsapps and emails from what seemed to be 4 different people but wasnt an issue.
Instructions for access could have been sent earlier and they didnt explain where the lockbox is (about 2 feet above the ground to the right of the main entrance door by the hedge) so we had to call to find out, again, no biggy
- Valentinas (8/5): Very good - Very big apartment, with 3 separate double bed bedrooms. Very suitable for 3 couples. Quite neighborhood.
