Fabulous location as we loved Buchan and the caves were amazing plus we had our best Kangeroo views as about a 35 strong family group gathered each night along the river bank by the caves entrance. The room was a bit dark.

The only problem we had was the address to Buchan, our Navman wouldn’t except it 🤷‍♀️ Thank you to the lovely man on the other end of the phone call, gave us good directions. Maybe, have a look at the address once again and maybe try it for yourself, to see how you might be able to rectify it and make it easier for everyone A win, win for all 😉 There was nothing to complain about, it was a beautiful place to stay at, congratulations on making, this home stay a place we won’t forget…. And we will definitely make sure we tell others to take the time out and come see for themselves 👍

• Tahnee (8/5): Would definitely stay again, super easy, cosy and convenient. - Comfy bed and location Nothing really, there just hadn’t been anyone in there for a while, so there were a few dead beetles in the bathroom.

Thank you - Proximity to town centre & no touch check in & out The shower pressure was good but the shower head was a bit tired. Also, the toilet was running constantly which I turned off at the tap overnight to stop the little water running sound & save water.

Highly recommended Hand wash in washroom must be compulsory but I don’t see any and scrubber for dishwashing and no scissors or knifes and tissues box in bedroom . Very small little things they are really matters for a short stay too .

• Amanda (5/5): Ok for an overnight stay but no more than that. Needs to be freshened up and a new mattress. - Nice location, walking distance to the town and caves. Needed a good clean and airing out. Very musty smell. The sheer curtains were filthy and full of bugs and spiders.

• Sue (10/5): A delightful stay for a couple, close to the Caves, hotel and store. - A truly delightful little cottage, spacious, nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed, sofa, table and chairs and desk. Sufficient crockery and cutlery for general needs. Very quiet location. A short walk to the Buchan Caves and to the hotel. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to friends. Lack of wi-fi, but as we were aware of that, it was not a problem. I only mention this as information for other guests.

• Jessica (10/5): Comfy bed, home away from home. - Everything about this place was a home away from home. Check in was easy with the key lock box at the front door, very comfy bed, comfy couch, table and chairs, heater worked well all night, cupboards were stocked with all the relevant items. Nice and quiet overnight. Wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again! Loved it. Shame I only booked one night.

Pub meal was good 👍 Would defini - Perfect spot, lovely outlook, comfortable bed, good shower, easy to deal with ( only via messages but still… ) has everything you need. Would stay again, and will recommend to our friends The only thing was the screen door closer is broken, so it slammed making a helluva racket if you didn’t catch it in time 😔

• M (10/5): A nice place to stay in Buchan - There is no breakfast on site. The location though is great. The place exceeded our expectations. We have no complaints. However, we do have some suggestions. This is a standalone house and can be dark and easy to miss for someone arriving at night. We initially parked behind based on someone else's review. Then the caretaker came out from a nearby house and said we had to park in the front. Details could be better communicated for guests. Later we arrived back after a days outing at night in the dark when it was also raining. A sensor light at the front could be useful. A hair dryer would have been nice to dry our hair. Parking can also be sign posted. However, we highly recommend this motel as it is quite good, exceptional value for money and located close to main road. You cant go wrong on this selection.

• Lois (10/5): Very relaxing After a busy term it was great have peace and quite and to escape our busy, growing town in - The unit was in a very quite location, it was beautifully furnished and it was set in a very peaceful, serene part of Buchan. It was very affordable and close to the pub and roadhouse to eat. It was walking distance to the Buchan Caves or a short few minutes drive. It would have been good to have a small hot plate but we did not mind the short drive to barbecue our meat at the small park.
• Bill (9/5): Superb - Everything. The room was everything we needed. Clean, ample towels and coffee/tea etc. The host was quick to sort out a couple of minor issues and was very helpful. Loved the place. As usual in most motel style rooms, insufficiently bright enough. More powerful lights would be great.

If it hasn't been for the last next door coming out when she saw that i looked lost, I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to find the place. There are small numbers which can be seen in good light, but better identification/signage would be a big help

I could not get the heater to work I arrived in the dark and could not find the property as the number was very small The shower needs some attention as the shower head fell off, hitting me on the head.

• Kelly (7/5): Great little spot for a stop after halfway in a long drive and close to the caves - worth a visit - Location is great. Buchan is a small town so you could walk around easily. Close to the caves which are the main attraction in the area (apart from it just being a beautiful spot). Lovely outlook through the rooms big windows. I wouldn't travel again on a Monday as all the local eateries are closed and there is not a kitchenette to prepare your own meals so we have to drive a fair way to get a meal (35 mins each way). But that is just an element to consider for preparation. The actual place is lovely
