- Chris (1/5): Terrible - Nothing. The tv had no free to air channels and they refused to provide a tv with free to air The TV had no free to air channels despite having an antenna cable plugged in. The only apps available on the tv were Netflix and Prime. Neither of which I have a subscription too. When I raised this with Airtrip the advised there was no free to air channels available on this tv and use the apps. I advised I do not have a subscription to either of the apps installed and you could not download any other streaming services. I was then advised that YouTube was available and was sufficient entertainment for my stay. I ended up checking out a day early. Airtrip have been problematic every time I have bookeded with them and this was the last straw! I will never use them again and suggest others avoid booking with them also. Terrible customer service.

- Guest (6/5): Disappointing venue - Not much Chair was broken , lounge was dirty with marks all on it, shower recess glass was shocking and white soap scum on shower floor tiles. Clothes airer was so rusty and falling apart , carpet stained.
Can only put 4 photos up as won't allow anymore. No room to move when you get out of bed as bed too large for area. Such a small apartment
Will definitely not book through them again 🤨😌
- Steve Marks (3/5): - Apon arrival there was no hot water, the toilet was running and couldn’t be flushed, the fridge was leaking and there was no internet.
As the host was unable to be contacted, I was forced to forgo a night’s accommodation and pay for an additional nights accommodation at another hotel until the repairs could be completed. No compensation was offered. It took several attempts to have all faults rectified. Lukewarm water at best.
The host refused to make contact via phone. Only contact was through messenger ap. Very unprofessional.

- Annette (4/5): Tiring - The location There was a terrible noise coming from the toilet and it took them 4 days of me complaining and providing evidence until they investigated and fixed properly. No broom, vacuum or dustpan to keep the floors clean then they advised me to buy a dustpan and they will reimburse. All kitchenware was dirty and some broken. Power points not working.TV was cheap and unless you had apps no free to air and the TV wasn’t working all that great. The actual 3rd floor stunk in the corridors. I asked for an extra towel and it was such a hassle. Roller walks were broken. Floors stained on carpets. The whole unit needs a revamp

Outside balcony was filthy and had rubbish and cigarette butts everywhere.
- Kidney (1/5): Bad - Arrived and had to wait over an hour in the lobby due to the room being double booked. They then overcharged me for a very small room that had cracked windows. After 2 days, they transferred me to another room that did not look as advertised and had a filthy ripped couch. The WiFi stopped working. When I left the premises, they even told me to vacate hours after I had already left. This room is managed by someone overseas and is frustratingly incompetent and rude. I was promised a small refund, but that never came. The rooms are managed by Airtip. Avoid this place.
Oh yea, the beds are just 2 single beds pushed together. There was no king or queen size bed.
This is the 1 and only time I have ever had problems. I have used Booking.com for years and all over the world.

- Mark (7/5): Good location some maintenance required. - The location is very good. An assortment of restaurants within one city block. Large shopping centre about 8 minutes walk away. Shower had excellent water pressure and hot water. Car parking was easy to access and convenient. The property has some maintenance issues. Two lifts only one working. A lot of permanent residents stated this had been the case for three weeks. No internet connection for the duration of my stay. Light cover missing over the bed. Clothes dryer sitting on the floor in the lounge. Mattress was a little uncomfortable.

- Kevin (2/5): Don't stay here if your booking is with Airtrip - The only thing I liked was the location. CBD area close to shopping. Nice pool area. Booking in process was convoluted. Picking up a key in a lock box down a gravel driveway across the road in the pouring rain wasn't ideal. I wasn't aware that I was going thro several parties; Booking.com and Airtrip.com.au. Although the apartment complex is Oaks, there are several signs stating that Oaks reception has nothing to do Airtrip bookings. I now understand why. They must deal with many angry customers. Having said that, the Oaks receptionist was excellent but was unable to help us because we were Airtrip customers. The main problem is there is no local person connected with Airtrip in Mackay so to get a battery missing from a TV remote, I had to contact Booking.com who contacted Airtrip who are in Sth Brisbane. It took 4 days to get our Internet access sorted. A battery for the TV remote took 2 days which arrived in our locked room?? Apparently by a cleaner. So day 1 and 2 we had no TV, no Internet which Airtrip were treating as Urgent.
The maintenance of the unit is almost non existent. Shower rails falling off, drawers coming apart and a host of damaged wooden louvres which I could not get Airtrip or Booking.com to acknowledge even though they wanted $200 holding deposit. In short, no customers service in an apartment which has received no maintenance for a long time and need a really good clean. Don't waste your time and money using Airtrip

- Michael (8/5): Overall it is a great place - Only one access card. Would have been good to have a spare in case of accidentally locking door before grabbing card out of power slot and having to pay a fee to gain access.
- Chris (5/5): Property was fine if it was the Oaks. Won't be booking with Airtrip again. - Location The booking process is painful to say the least. They insist on a photo of your driver's license and a selfie holding the license. This was sent through 3 days prior to my arrival, and I was repeatedly asked to resend it as they could not find the original. Also, the chairs on the balcony were broken and there was no milk to make tea.

- Lynne (6/5): We had a nice time in Mackay,we hadn’t been there before - There were cobwebs full of flies around every corner of the lounge room, we were 2days without internet the tv didn’t work properly, the bathroom was constantly full of little flies that cam in through the extractor fan we were afraid to use the cooker because the fire alarm was over the top and it was $1000 fine if it went off.Finding the key card was a nightmare it was located on the side of another building around another street, we were lucky that a man who lived in the hotel new where we had to go.

Easy to contact air trip to get the right lock code. Location is perfect, right in the heart of Mackay. Easy to get to. Aircon was great. Pool was gorgeous and gym was decent. There were ants in the kitchen and little bugs in the shower. Shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Bed was a little lumpy and pillows were super flat, definitely need an update.

- Adrian (2/5): Great location,comfy bed and unwelcome as a guest - No breakfast available,had to leave the Oaks to find breakfast. The room was semi clean,carpets were covered in filthy stains in all areas of the appt and most walls had dents and marks on them.The rim of the toilet pan had never been cleaned due to the amount of mould
The aircon filters were in a bad need or a clean and the cooling fans were extremely covered in black mould which fell onto the tv stand so tha couldn't have been any good for our health.In case someone says it was all caused by us we have photos of the marks taken as soon as we entered the room.
We didn't appreciate the signs at reception and near the lifts telling us NOT to request any help advice etc from them and as we went through Airtrip they will call the POLICE if we do and act in manner that disrespects them in the slightest way.
This set the tone every day to make us feel as though we did something wrong but we never did.Made us feel we couldn't even say good morning to the reception staff as a friendly courtesy to them in case they took it the wrong way.

- Renee (7/5): Good - There was water leaking in one of the apartments upon arrival, there was no clean done during the stay, and when requested the linen was left for us to change the beds, towels etc over a four -week duration, a key for entry was left inside the unit and we were charged $105.00 to redo a new card, even though we could have been let into the unit to retrieve the card.

- Clare (1/5): Don't believe what you read. - The convenience. The place was dirty, the tv had no antenna or a working lamp. I asked for it to be fixed, but they only bought an antenna cable, which could not be connected and did not bother with the light globe. The place smelled bad, and they needed to clean the airconditioner as it had mould on the blades inside.

Outdoor furniture, both chairs broken.
Shower grotty, had to ask for additional towels as only 1 set left for 5 days.
There is no daily service to the property unless you are willing to pay for it.

- Olivia (5/5): I would recommend for location, nothing else, really disappointed and still waiting for manager to ring me 2 months late - Good location, close to shopping centre and not too far from the airport. We were told there was an oven and smart tv in our apartment. On arrival smart tv didn’t exist and we realised a week in there was no oven. We complained, we left over 2 months ago and we are still waiting to hear from the manager and get the compensation we were promised.

- Nick (3/5): Poor - Good location, good view, good layout of apartment, if not for the poor maintenance and inability of airtrip staff to follow up it would have been a good stay. Several maintenance issues with the apartment.
Broken lights, broken range hood which meant you couldn't cook or use the toaster which meant we had to eat out every meal which we didn't want to do and in fact brought several items to cook with only to find out about the range hood afterward. The fridge was overloaded with ice build-up, which tripped a circuit in the fridge, and it caused a small flood in the kitchen. I had to remove food, take the fridge to verandah, and defrost completely before restarting. Asked for a 2nd key, which we never received. Airtrip need to improve their ability to respond to guest issues - staff at the complex were fine but can't help you as you've booked with a different room provider. I won't do this again

- Anthony (5/5): Like I mentioned the location was in a prime spot. - Location is in a very convenient location. The key swipe card didn’t work, thankfully the receptionist over ride the card so we could access the lifts to the room. The bed only had one pillow for each guest, we found it hard to sleep at night. The bed was uncomfortable needed a mattress topper.

- Shomel (8/5): Nice enough stay for work! - I liked the facilities which were available. The pool was ok and it was nice to have a gym (although limited in facilities). The apartment generally had a nice, clean and comfortable vibe. Location was good, and plenty of parking! There was no in person welcome - it did make communicating a little tricky and picking up the key could have been a little easier. The kitchen should be better equipped to make it easier to cook.

Park on same level to unit, so easy for in and out. Wifi easy and smart tv connected for easy entertainment. Only surprise was having to re-identify myself with an external property manager which felt like a scam. Airtrip will contact you after booking.com, but it’s all legit, and the staff at Airtrip are very friendly. The keys come via a lock-box across the road from the unit.

The host, Airtrip, is partnered with guest screening company, Superhog, This company debited our credit card $300 as a security deposit, rather than placing a hold on the amount. The money was debited the same day we booked the apartment (6 days prior to arrival) and it will be up to 14 days after our departure before the money is refunded. Superhog is a British company and our Australian bank charged us a $9 international transaction fee. Not sure if we'll have to pay the same when the money is refunded.

- Anonymous (2/5): Very disappointed - location The screening process to rent property was over the top. Property should be advertised as studio not 1 bedroom. Property was not clean and fridge was so frosted in freezer that it was pushing the fridge door open hence the child lock to keep it closed, bathroom floor was dirty, toilet was running water constantly and 1 light was not working.
Carpets had stains and needed cleaning. Mattress was very old .
- Ashleigh (3/5): Location was great at the oaks hotel everything else about the room and airstrip was not worth it. - Great location at the Oaks Room wasn’t available upon check-in and replacement rooms key was missing. Waited an extra hour upon check-in time before gaining access to room. Room was not completely clean. Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were old and stiff. No extra bedding, no milk. Dryer did not work. Contacted hostess after my stay as I left a charger and have had no contact back.

- James (4/5): Lift your game airtrip - Position is good close to shops The first room was not made up or cleaned . The second room had no TV remote, so I couldn't use TV. Cups in the cupboard weren't clean.
