My toddler loved the toys, just really felt like home. Just a minor shortfall was having the laundry downstairs. Not a biggy just made sure to get laundry sorted during daylight before all the creepy crawlies come out at night 😂

• Kim (9/5): Spacious and clean accommodation with an easy walk to Nambucca’s main street. - This was a great place to stay in Nambucca. An older-style house, but modernised, especially the wonderful bathroom. Very clean, comfortable, well-equipped, spacious…everything you need for a short or long stay. A fantastic deck out the back with a tree outlook…even a glimpse of the ocean. An easy walk to town, and if you enjoy longer walks as we do, the beaches, V-wall, lookouts, cafes and restaurants along the river, are all easily reached. You must try Matilda’s restaurant at night, or their General Store for coffee and house-baked cakes and pies of a morning. Hosts were easy to communicate with.

• Darienne (10/5): Excellent homestyle accommodation at Nambucca Heads! - The house was very well appointed with everything you could need. We were able to do a load of washing, which was very helpful! Lovely big old home with comfortable beds and plenty of seating. Hard floors perfect for my little dog. Big fridge and supplies on hand in the kitchen. Very fairly priced and in a central location. Very happy with our stay! I wasn't able to get the Netflix password to work, but I didn't really need it. If I had really wanted to sort it out, there were signs with contact numbers to call. I found my mattress a bit uncomfortable but I have a bad back so anything but the firmest mattress hurts my back.

Undercover off street parking. Well stocked with kitchen utensils and appliances. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linen and blankets. Lovely big balcony out the back. The floors are very noisy. The floorboards squeak and you cannot move around without making a noise. Lucky we had our own toiletries because if we relied on the complimentary toiletries we would have fallen short. 2 teeny shampoo bottles, no conditioner, no body wash. Complimentary milk was a 200ml long life which surprised me, because every other bnb offering complimentary milk is usually a 1litre fresh. But otherwise we were very happy.

The road is quite busy and loud in the morning so not ideal if you like to sleep in. The bed is also a little too firm for my liking but I know we’re all different.

• Kylie (9/5): Superb - Location to shops was a good walking distance, could walk to both supermarkets and lots of parks and cafes. Lovely spacious house with a modern look, verandah was a great place to sit with a nice view. Pet friendly was a huge positive, the kitchen had most appliances and well stocked with utensils, plates, mugs and glasses. The carport was high enough for my landcruiser and provided great protection in the big storm we got while there. The traffic wasn't too noisy at night which was great because its a busy road so it was a concern when we first arrived in the day but not an issue at night. The bedrooms where hugely stocked with blankets and pillows so no matter what the temperature it was comfortable. Almost every little detail was thought of to stay here very comfortably. The new looking flooring is very noisy to walk on so if you are a light sleeper and someone else is walking through the house it can be heard even with the bedroom door closed. The gates to the carport are a bit fiddly and if trying to get in and out on your own a bit of a chore as well as juggling the traffic while trying to get in and out of the carport with a big 4x4 is too as the gates open out which puts the car out in the traffic, sliding gates would suit bigger cars better. The shower water is affected by any other water being used in the house so if having a shower let others know not to do washing up or use water until your shower is over. A sandwich press would have just topped the kitchen appliances nicely as my sourdough bread didn't fit in the toaster but nit picking here now.

Thank you. - The back deck is gorgeous and definitely the highlight of the property and the outdoor furniture is comfortable. The house has everything you could need other than a coffee maker. So much crockery, glassware etc. Huge well planned kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. Spotless. No dishwasher, bathtub, coffee maker or plunger. The TV in the lounge room is also tiny. But the view from the enormous back deck is so fantastic that nobody should be sitting inside watching TV! I was slightly underwhelmed on arrival thinking that the place seemed slightly stable and my initial thoughts were that while it was great for a large group of people because it’s so huge and comfortable, it wasn’t really my thing because it lacked the bathtub and it was possibly a bit too big for one person alone. But maybe I was tired when I arrived because when I woke up the next morning I was the exact opposite of underwhelmed. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the back deck. I have been planning to get up and leave before the sun came up, but there was nowhere I was leaving that beautiful place and I sat there drinking coffee until almost 10 am. I will definitely stay there again whether alone or in a group of people it is just simply gorgeous and everything has been thought through. I was gobsmacked when opening cupboards and finding all manner of items such as a bath for a baby, massive toaster, appliances galore. The bench space is fantastic too. You could really cook up a storm here and I wish I’d been there for longer. One night did not do this gorgeous place justice.

Easy communication with landlord. Only 1 bathroom (we had 2 couples so had to take turns, but also note only one is advertised), TV satellite channels not the normal Foxtel.

• Josephine (6/5): Adequate with notable exception of the air-con. - Spacious, exceptionally clean, moderately convenient. Generous amenities. Seriously inadequate air-conditioning for size of property. I single unit for the whole house plus 3 ceiling fans does not match the expectation from the description on Booking.com, this aspect is misleading and deceptive, particularly as there is a ducted cooling/heating system in the house that is no longer operational. Without that in the summer even having the air-con unit and ceiling fans going flat out, it was only barely comfortable with outside temperatures of 29 & 30 degrees and humidity at 80% to deal with! (Hard to imagine how warm the house would be in the winter with only 1 fireplace & 1 air-con unit to stay warm) The front gates are a real challenge to grapple with, whilst understanding the need for vigilant security, arriving in the dark, in a poorly lit street and relying on mobile phone torch, the gates would be frustrating to most guests.
