Guest Reviews
- Jo (10/5): Shelly was great to communicate with, the house was perfect for us - It was as advertised, no surprises. Very comfortable Nothing comes to mind
- Janette (8/5): Very very comfortable, would stay agy - As we entered we were pleasantly surprised of how homely it was presented, clean and comfortable, however the only concern we have is the doona covers and pillows cases change after every stay as we were only required to strip the sheets off the beds and place towels in the laundry, I think a top sheet and bottom sheet needs to be made up on all beds, overall I would book to another stay. Very clean spacious, homely close shops
- Surendra (10/5): -
- Vanessa (8/5): The stay was comfortable, albeit first impressions weren’t. The house was spacious and clean. - The size and cleanliness of the house inside was great all kitchen appliances required including toiletries in the bathroom bathroom supplied On arrival the garden from the outside looked like it had been an abandoned home, but once inside it was fine, although there were definitely repairs and maintenance through some of the doors and cupboard doors in the kitchen that could be under
- Zlatko (10/5): -
- Glenn (9/5): - Convenient location close to shops and beach. Large open house Backyard was poor and not as secure as I would prefer for a dog
- Maillard (7/5): - Modern spacious kitchen, and close to beach Back yard needed some attention
- Tom (10/5): - Close to shops, clean and lots of room
- Shirley Anne (6/5): Disappointed. - Location Yard unkept and unsafe for children to play. Not enough glasses and crockery to cater for number of guests
- janine (7/5): -
- Kylie (4/5): To expensive for what it is. - Its wasn’t clean, not child friendly, nor dog friendly, it was grungy, back yard unusable
Expensive for what it actually was
- Catherine (8/5): We had a good time. Comfortable. Clean inside the house. Great location. - Location. Cleanliness. No bath mat in 2nd bathroom. All soap dispensers were 95% water 5% soap, making it difficult to wash our hands.
The front & back yards need attention.
Not good to look at from street view.
- Helen (10/5): -
- Carol (7/5): -
- Ellinger (8/5): - Make no mistake this house is a little rough around the edges. But it was clean , the Kitchen huge and modern, the bedrooms clean and comfy beds , the two bathrooms modern and clean . 2 washing machines, dishwasher even Netflix on the tv for the kids and everything else you could need . Reverse cycle aircons in every room. Location was great. The price was right. Huge lounge and dining rooms The yard needs a tidy up . Was really unusable, only good if you have pets . Smelt like dog urine out the back.
- Brittany and Alistair (10/5): Good value for money - Property had everything you need
- Jane (8/5): -
- Claire (8/5): very clean and tidy, perfect for a big group! - location was perfect only a short walk to the beach and the shops! lots of space for a big group of people and plenty of beds, large kitchen with most cooking necessities. couldn’t spend much time in the backyard- we had two littles ones with us, not much room for them to run around without worrying about tripping/falling or hurting themselves on the various rocks, pavers and long grass and branches.
- Joao (5/5): Allright - Location and interiors Outside gardens not taken care
- Rebeca Rita (9/5): Great house for a big family (four bedrooms, two complete bathrooms) or just two couples as we were. - The house is big and luminous. It has a complete kitchen with a big fridge. Everything was clean. The beds were very comfortable.
- Graeme (10/5): Great house in a great location. - Great house for a group. Plenty of space, good kitchen and dining area and very convenient to the beach, pubs and restaurants
- Paula-Jean (7/5): Screaming out for Maintance - Great spot..quite..nice neighbours
Could Uber most things to the house with no problems The outside house and yards are in desperate nerd of maintance and attention....the backyard unsafe for any use...and an extermly strong smell of cat urine...actually very strong anytime we left the inside.
Yards in terriablr array..needing mowing whippersnipping and weed control...fences and retaining wall slmost collasping ...hpuse had a few quick fixers in it....no street appeal whatso ever....
- Peter (10/5): Excellent great value accommodation for a family or group of friends looking to explore the peninsula. - Great location, very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Nothing!
- CHUAN CHUAN (9/5): 可以再次選擇的住宿,很棒! - 空間大、格局好、房間多、廚房大還有中島,地理位置不錯。 有一間房有很多螞蟻,窗戶門都有關好,昆蟲還會進來。
- Walter (8/5): - The hous was nice, bur the suroundings needed TLC! Not enough of the same glasses or plates for 5 people, dissapiunting!
- David (7/5): Good but flawed. - Large house, comfortable beds light and airy. Need more kitchen utensils and crockery such as cereal bowls.cheese grater and whisk
Exterior and garden very poor. Probably unsafe for young children. Waterproof mattress protector on queen beds made sleeping uncomfortable.Never encountered before.
Step down to kitchen needs warning markings.
Shower fittings broken, rain head and hand wand both come on and cannot be selected.
- Jenny (10/5): -
- Alex (8/5): - Good location and plenty of space for guests Backyard could be better utilised. Living space could be better equipped
- Nicola (10/5): Super host 10/10 - Very spacious, rooms are huge the kitchen is amazing & big backyard
- sunnycoaster45 (8/5): -
- Marion (7/5): -
- Amanda (4/5): Not charming, needs attention - The location It did not match the images provided. The front verandah was filled with cobwebs, very uninviting. The backyard was unsafe for our youngest child to play in, with broken pots, cut branches and garden mess everywhere. There was one wine glass and two cereal bowls for a home that sleeps 10. This home has huge potential but needs some serious attention and love, and for what we paid, it was unsatisfactory.
- ShihChing (6/5): - Clean house Gotta do bed sheet laundry yourself or get extra 50$ penalty when there was already 150$ cleaning fees
- Molly (10/5): - So stunning!!!
- Molly (10/5): - We stayed here for awhile and loved it
- Nicola (10/5): Value for money 10/10 - Lovely charming home.
Enjoyed our stay
- roger (9/5): -
- Astrid (10/5): Spacious home in great location - Lots of room for a big family. Good heating and cooling.
- Alison (10/5): We hope to stay again. - We visited in winter and, although the house is large, the heating was great. The back garden was secure for our small dog. We appreciated the games and books provided for children. The layout of the house was good as one bedroom was away from the others providing Nana with a quiet space and her own bathroom. The back garden is somewhat overgrown.
- Craig (7/5): -
- David (10/5): Good location. Well appointed and clean. - Easy access via a door code. Home was well appointed and clean. We had 5 people staying in the 4 bedrooms that were comfortable and enjoyed the ducted heating in all rooms, needed in July. Newly renovated main bathroom. Walking distance to beach and restaurants/pub. A small container of milk would have been nice to make use of the coffee and tea provided.
- Bree (10/5): -
- Orlagh (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (7/5): Good - House was suitable inside, but do wonder how you fit up to 10 with limited seating. Outside very average..garden needs maintenance and up keep.
- Hui (9/5): Superb -
- Harbert (6/5): Pleasant - Large house No coffee machine, only one wine glass and the front and back yards were unkept. Large living room but could only use half of it due to the set up.
- Lea (8/5): Very good -
- Dylan (9/5): Superb - The size of the rooms and off street parking.
The house was clean and great for a family or a group of friends to stay in. Not far from the RSL and other places to eat
- Angela (8/5): It was perfect for the family and wouldn’t hesitate booking again - The house was fantastic. Want Shelly to know that the bedroom at the back the lamp shade on the side table was broken but lamp still worked fine
- Steph (9/5): Great location, sleepy location in the burbs by the beach - Host was lovely and easy to communicate with. House was everything we needed for a chilled weekend away with the gals. NA
- Maria (7/5): Great property if you have many people, a bit pricey for only 4 - The steep cleaning amount of $200. We left it spotless, and we had to strip the beds
- Jules (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anastasiia (10/5): Great stay - Had everything we needed for a short stay The rules said we had to wash the dishes but there was no dishwasher powder.
- Simon (8/5): It was great - Clean tidy spacious Bit of a walk to the shops
- Nese (9/5): Superb -
- Candice (4/5): Disappointing - Great location, great size for extended family. Kids bunk bedroom was a hit with all the books and puzzles When we arrived the kitchen surfaces were dirty and needed wiping over before we used anything, Dirty table cloth on dining table, dinnerware, glasses and cutlery were dirty has to cleaned before using. Dirty old dish cloth provided very unsanitary.
Front yard was overgrown and backyard was overgrown and hazardous for children to play in safely.
Shower in front bathroom didn’t work properly and the shower door leaked causing wet tiled floors.
I think for the price per night payed for this property the upkeep and cleanliness was not up to scratch.
- Jenn (5/5): Comfortable and accommodating for a large family but facilities are tired and need a deep clean / restock and some t - Location, spacious, comfortable The bathrooms really need bath mats, the main bathrooms shower doesn’t work properly.
The kitchen wasn’t equipped with essential like tea spoons, greater, scissors and spatulas.
There wasn’t Dishwashing liquid and sponges were dirty. Benches needed cleaning upon arrival.
Bedrooms could use more pillows and sheets
The deck and yard need a really good clean up. The children got splinters on the deck and more than one serious gash from dead wood/ dead maple tree in pot at eye height.
Sorry I think if you advertise accommodation for children and have pictures of a green accessible yard it needs to be safe. Similarly the front porch need a good clean.
It was a little odd and distasteful to have so many discarded objects in front driveway from previous guests. We all know accommodation / holiday homes have a high turnover but we don’t really want to see evidence of recently checked out guests.
Sunshade or blind really is needed on the glass sliding door in the dining area and outdoor bar / bench needs a power hose.
Thanks again
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (6/5): It was ok probably wouldn’t go back - The close proximity to the beach Gardens were untidy, place needs a good revamp, and a outdoor bbq.
- Claire (8/5): We would definitely stay here again. - Very spacious inside, comfortable beds, great value for a large family. Communication from host was great. First impression on arrival - the front yard was overgrown.
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable Nothing
- Kristin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (8/5): Great Stay - Comfortable and spacious. Walking distance to shops and beach.
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Miz_c (8/5): Fantastic Full Family home - I loved the amount of space and also the games that is in the place. that was a nice surprise, the kitchen and dining area are spacious and the bedrooms are nicely set up and there are washing machines provided at the property
Most Kitchen items are available and the kitchen is all stocked up so its a nice short term holiday home During our stay the door lock stopped working all of a sudden but the hosts responded to the call and we eventually got into the property
- Melani (10/5): Great stay. Highly recommend. - So spacey
Very clean
Feels homely. Property didn’t have a cloth dryer. It had two washing machines only which was weird.
- Leanne (10/5): Enjoyable loved it - The location and layout of the house Nothing
- Thi (9/5): Superb - It was a great place to stay for family
Good location, very thing perfect accept the air condition in the living room not working properly but will highly recommend to friends The backyard not really cleaned, full of fallen leafs on the ground
- Yool (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (9/5): Great location, very spacious house, close to everything! - Lots of room, all the amenities we needed, instructions on how to use the stove (handy for someone like me that doesn’t know induction!) lots of bedding, stuff (books and games) for the kids, easy access, close to shops and beach! Nothing - was a lively place to stay with the family
- Zita (7/5): Good -
- Monica (8/5): Good location and lots of bedrooms. - Location in a nice quiet street. Updated bathroom. Huge ugly stain on one of the lounges. No one sat there. The couches need to be replaced with more comfortable clean ones.
- Rebekah (8/5): Very good -
- Mohit (8/5): Very good -
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and tidy and spacious inside. The yard front and back needed a little work.
- Mary (7/5): Good for a night - Had the whole house to ourselves, was easy to find, instructions for check in and check out were clear, location was fantastic for what we needed (12 min drive to the hot springs), very fairly priced, spacious rooms, the renovated bathroom was great (especially the heater lights), the ducted heater worked so well and efficiently so we didn't feel the cold, smart TV for movie night, excellent fridge and freezer Main gripe was the kitchen - it wasn't super well equipped and utensils/crockery/cutlery weren't cleaned well. There were enough things to cook with on the stove top, but no baking paper to use for the oven. There was nothing with which to wipe down the benchtops (cloth, paper towels, or cleaning spray). The cleaning sponge was disgusting - this should absolutely be changed once a week at most or use silicone for hygiene. Gratefully there was a dishwasher and tablets to use. One of the rooms was dusty and not well cleaned - I assume if prior guests don't use it, it doesn't get a clean - I would suggest that once a week the sheets need to change regardless of guest use so as to avoid dust for guests who have asthma and dust allergies.
- Cathy (8/5): Very good - Was good for what we needed as a group of 5. There was a deck but the garden was very unruly so wasn't very appealing to sit outside.
- Melanie (2/5): Very poor -
- Sandra (10/5): We had a wonderful time on the Peninsula - Location great Nothing
- Michael (7/5): Good for families or group, close to beach - Property is in a perfect spot, as title says it really is a 10 minute walk to the beach and shops, house is comfortable. The house, although has been prepared for short term stays, is older. And comes with issues found with these types of houses.
Given the cost per night we kind of just expected these things to be sorted.
- Sheryl (9/5): Superb - Good location and plenty of room for a large group. Was a great base for our adventures in Mornington Peninsula.
Great communication from the host.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Khayyam (9/5): Very clean with lots of space to sleep. - This house was so spacious. Managed to have 7 adults on a weekend golf trip with no space issues whatsoever. 4 bunks in one room, 2 double bedded rooms, and another with two singles. Could've taken 8 adults with no space issues. Very clean
- Kathy (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (8/5): Good house, few things need attention - Good location, house itself is modern and nice, very clean, plenty of space Few things easily fixed - every single air conditioner remote (5 units) had flat batteries meaning they were unusable until I got replacement ones - annoying when putting a toddler down for a midday nap on a hot day only to find out aircon can't be used.
Smoke alarm randomly went off several times over night... No sign of any cause
2 chairs had broken backs - visually looked ok but with a small amout of pressure the back rest fell out, my pregnant wife almost fell through one of them was lucky to not be injured.
- Bagra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katico78 (7/5): Was good. - Good location, a lot of space in the house. Good facilities for cooking. Most was fine, just needed more honesty about the condition of the renovations. The main kitchen and lounge area was half painted and the back garden was overgrown and a no-go zone for kids. I think it is still getting fixed up.
- Mary (9/5): Excellent stay. - Large house with lots of room for eating and having your own space Nothing
- Craig (4/5): Disappointed with the appearance / presentation and usability of yard - Clean inside, suitable facilities, location Overgrown garden, obviously no attempt to cut grass or weed both front and rear. Very different to advertised pictures. Disappointing given we had dogs and concerned about possibility of snakes. Looked terrible. Buckets and cleaning mops left on back deck
- Thi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellie (9/5): Superb -
- Frances (8/5): Very good -
- Debra (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- L (9/5): Superb -
- Elspeth (5/5): Needs attention - It had the amount of bedroom we required. When we first arrived we thought we had the wrong place. The garden needs attention. The backyard was unusable and overgrown. The ducted heating didn’t work in the main living areas. A cupboard door on the kitchen was broken and nearly knocked one of us out. The privacy film on the first bedroom window has been installed the wrong way. There was no mattress or pillow protectors on some of the beds.
- Rhonda (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
