- Suzanne (9/5): A home away from home experience - The location was perfect for us. It is about 10 minutes walk to Wapping Station and about 20 mins to Tower Hill. The pick up location was a decent walk with bags from the station. The shopkeepers were not helpful, requiring a code which we didn't have. They didn't have internet available so we could contact the host and we didn't have a phone. Luckily we had someone with us who did so they kindly phoned the host and got the code. Then another big walk to the apartment.
- Gabor_nyul (7/5): Value for lower budgets but might require some compromises. - The location is good: 3 minutes walk to bus no. 100 right beside Waitrose. The closest metro-station is 15 minutes walk. The area is silent.
Host: very responsive and helpful. E.g. the towel-rail in the bath stopped working and he organized a replacement/fix in no time.
Comfort: the kitchen is very well equipped (with amenities and salt, oil, etc.), needed only buy food into the fridge. Despite the description, there is a dryer: the washing machine also is a dryer. The beds are comfortable and the blankets are warm enough. Bed sizes are double (~140cm) and single (~120cm). Flat: it is on the 1st floor, no elevator. The walls are thin, so you will hear everything if you have a noisy neighbor. Unfortunately, the upstairs neighbor did a renovation of some sort each evening from 21:00 to 23:30.
Comfort: there is no heating in the small bedroom and it could get very cold there.
Cleanliness: in the living room, there are big stains on the sofa and all the chairs. Lots of dust everywhere. In the bathroom there is some mold, but nothing that a more thorough cleaning could not solve.
As of April 2024, the flat should have a general renovation and a big cleaning.
