Guest Reviews
- Lauren (7/5): -
- Janelle (9/5): We had a fun few days in MR. - Comfort, location and very friendly and accommodating owners thank you It was a bit sad to see the garden neglected
- Celia (8/5): Spacious and relaxing with nice front garden. - It was close to the shops. It was very spacious and had a large back yard. Comfortable beds. 2 toilets so good for our family of 5. Kitchen had lots of plates, glasses etc. We enjoyed the garden, especially at the front. It's a bit dated. The bath side was quite high to step into and out of for the shower. Frosted windows in the bathroom. Couldn't work the oven and the marlins for the knobs were faded so difficult to know what you were turning on and how high. The plug in the sink doesn't stay in so the water would run out if you bumped it.
- Teresa (6/5): It was a good accommodation overall with some room for improvement. - The location was great, so close to town and the shops. Kitchen was well equipped. Alfresco with the lovely outdoor table setup was great and was utilized well for family meals. I thought there weren't enough lights. There wasn't an option to light up the place a bit more and it felt a bit too dark at times
The common toilet could have a lock.
Parents were saying it was hard to close their bedroom door (1st one on the left).
I felt like the children's room could be upgraded. It was a bit cluttered - stickers off the walls, new hangers (for all bedrooms) and made to look a bit more modern would be great.
Rien
- Amy (10/5): Cute cottage is fantastic location! - Fantastic location and the property itself was super cute with everything we needed! Would stay again :)
Loved it! We loved our stay! Only comment would be it’s a little dark, but not an issue at all
- Suzanne (5/5): Stay was fare. Close enough to town. - The beds were comfortable. Lighting very poor. Bath/shower not suitable for older people. No instructions on how to use things. ( Ceiling fan)
- Ziggy (9/5): -
- Chiara (10/5): Absolutely recommended! - Everything! Walking distance to town, quiet spot, cozy, clean and everything you need to make your stay more comfortable: plates, pans, tea, coffee, salt, pepper, spices, laundry, wood fire etc. plenty of parking too! Everything was excellent!
- ashley (10/5): -
- Anais (10/5): - Beautiful, clean building. Stunning living area. Very well equipped and beautiful backyard. The hill to get to town is very steep! Worth the walk though.
- Stewart (10/5): -
- Jodee (9/5): Girls weekend get away - Fantastic facilities, very clean and close to everything.
Fully equipped kitchen with the essential pantry items.
Loved the wood fire, perfect to warm the living areas quickly 👌
Great having the 2nd toilet The king bedroom door doesn't close properly but wasn't too much of an issue.
- H Mc Cormack (10/5): Great Little Cottage close to MR town - Charming cottage very close to Margaret River town with all the amenities needed for our short stay. Kindling and fire wood was provided to have a toasty fire every night after exploring the region.. Loads of kids toys and books for our little one as well as a crib and hight chair. Well equipped kitchen if wanting to cook and eat at home. Everything has been thought about and provided to make a stay comfortable and inviting There isn't anything not to like about the property
- Garry and Ethel (9/5): Wonderful self contained cottage in a great location close to central town. - A wonderful spacious cottage in a great location close to central township. Very comfortable throughout, with wood fireplace for chilly nights. 3 good size bedrooms with comfortable beds, and well equipped kitchen with dining area & comfy lounge. Good sized backyard and front/rear verandah. Highly recommended. Nil. Loved it all.
- LUI (9/5): Pleasant stay in this lovely accommodation. - Good location, convenient. House is spacious, neat.
- Christine (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Recommendation as a place to stay - Good size, comfortable beds, good kitchen, good fire. A very pleasant place to stay Shower over bath

- ANTHONY CONN AODHGAN (8/5): - Supplies were generous- coffee-Tea- fire wood etc.
Had loads of extra supplies that made the stay so much easier.
Cold when we got there but got very cosy very quick Dishes needed a reclean. House wasn't spotless.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (7/5): Good -
- Riley (10/5): All-in-all, it was perfect. - Amazing location and area. So close to the centre and loved the cabin/cottage feel. Sliding door is a bit drafty and some areas could use some TLC (just a comment from my mum haha).
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (9/5): Nice place -
- Laurene (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Hollie (7/5): Cosy house needing some TLC - Great location, gorgeous back garden & cosy fire for autumnal nights. This house has so much potential but really needs some TLC. As mentioned, the master bedroom door doesn’t close properly. A lot of the utensils in the kitchen are worn down, as are the sofas, and the cupboards / fridge are a mixture of left over items from other stays which could do with a good clear out.
- Susan (1/5): I will never stay at any place associated with that business; and advise others not to. - Location was quite good. Dirty bed sheets; dirty cutlery; dirty crockery; broken bed; spiders' web all over; dangerous entry steps with different height risers. Heating in one bedroom consisted of an hot water bottle. Broken bed held up by bricks. Paying a $150.00 for cleaning which could not have been done.
- Daniela (9/5): A nice place to relax for a couple of nights in. - Convenient location close to tge towns centre. Large backyard and leafy surrounds. It was very clean and tidy. Master bedroom door could not be fully closed, door lock/ handle needs maintenance. It was quite dark at night though - not enough lighting in the main living area.
- Benjamin (7/5): Fair accommodation at a fair price - Average property for an average price. It was functional, but nothing to rave to friends about
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Shona (10/5): Camellia cottage helped create magical memories for me and my family will never forget staying here! - Totally surprised at the spaciousness of Camellia Cottage. Absolutely perfect for me and my family. Good quality furniture and cookware. Lovely touch to have beach towels. The layout of the living area was fantastic and worked brilliantly for us.
- Albert (9/5): We a relaxing time and enjoyed our holiday. - Clean, comfortable and close to the city Nil
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (10/5): Peaceful, convenient, wonderful place to stay in the heart of Margs - Fabulous location. Had everything you need. Very comfortable beds. Has a very tranquil feel about it.
- Xin (10/5): Best place in my trip - The house is quite pretty and everything is prepared excellently in the house. We really have a great time here. They have a beautiful yard and I will come back again if possible A little cold during night
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (10/5): Great accommodation, close to town , would stay again -
- Khushnam (10/5): A delightful home away from home. - The architecture of the house and the rustic fire place and the amenities were so wonderful It was perfect but instead of a lemon tree, I wish there was an orange tree
- Anthony (8/5): Loved it - Great value A little dark, needs more lighting in the living area
- Irnie (8/5): Very good -
- Teri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (8/5): Great family station - The fire 🔥🔥 . The location was great and the size was great for the group we had and catered very well for children. No dishwasher.
- Sor (8/5): Overall we enjoyed the stayed at cottage house. Thank you so much for the preparation . - What have went well for us;
1. Very nice home decor and cosy house.
2. Like the fireplace it makes the house feel warm due to cold weather.
3. House was clean and the stayed was comfortable.
4. Fully equipped. Feel like a home.
5. 8-10mins walk to town area. Even better if;
1. Entrance should have the light on so that for those who are late check in is able to see the locker number.
2. Master bedroom door cannot close it properly.
3. Safety hazard- Toilet bathtub should have a rubber mat. This is to prevent slip and fall as the screen panel is not fully secure.
- Manisha (9/5): Superb -
- Matt (10/5): Beautiful property, would stay again without hesitation. -
- Cherrie (8/5): Cozy with Character - We arrived early and the Manager was super happy to have the place ready for us earlier than our checking time. Loved how close to town it was. Beautiful place, full of character and comfort. Literally had everything we needed from salt and pepper to cutlery, towels, and oil heaters for every room. When we arrived, we had pre chopped wood, which made the afternoon easy to light the fire.
All in all, we absolutely loved our stay. Would recommend.
- Juliette (10/5): Very comfortable, in a lovely quiet location but only 10 mins walk to town. - I immediately felt at home in Camelia Cottage. The fire place made it special in the evenings.
- Narelle (9/5): Superb - Great communication with host, clean and comfortable dwelling and in a handy location.
- Emma (10/5): Will definitely book again. - Great location. Very cosy and comfortable.
- Jenna (9/5): Superb -
- Newton (10/5): Exceptional - Very cute little home, perfect for a family or friends
- Amanda (10/5): Very enjoyable space, felt like home had everything you could have thought of when away from home :) - It felt like being at home. warm, airy and comfortable, short walk into the shops. The road to the water Weir was 2 doors down to go for a bush walk in the mornings. Bathtub with shower over the top, laundry facilities and a big backyard and BBQ area and outdoor dining area. Having 2 toilets was a bonus with a family. Great kitchen facilities with general pantry items. Comfy beds. The sliding door to the outdoor area didn't have a screen on it, a couple of flys got in, not so major. Steps inside the house and at the front door, not the best for people with balance issues, it was ok for our family but my parents still had to watch it being in their late 60's.
- Megan (6/5): Comfy inside, rather noisy traffic, average yard, great communication with host. Everything we neede - Inside the house was lovely great kids room comfy beds and everything we needed inside Yard was very average, a bit dangerous for our small children, house was very noisy and road outside / people walking at nighttime was very noisy
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - In a quiet łocation
- Sharon (7/5): Good - Location Darkness of the rooms
- Chee (5/5): Passable -
- Tijana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ting (10/5): A nice place for the family to kick back and relax from a long drive from Perth. - A warm and family friendly place to stay. Three rooms to comfortably sleep 4 adults and two children - just right for us. The combination lock code didn’t work and had to call for assistance.
- Jacqueline (7/5): Good -
- Linda (9/5): Superb - Was close to all amenties
House had everything you needed
Beds very comfortable.
- Selen (9/5): Superb - Rustic, vintage and classic home. Nothing really.
- Jaana (8/5): Very good - Easy login. Good beds. The only minus, frying pans and pots full of scratches
- Dee (8/5): Very good -
- Bao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elliot (10/5): Exceptional - orange tree :D
- Margaret (9/5): Hopefully host, very neat comfy and homely feel cottage in a great location and quiet area. Plenty of room for 6 people - Very comfy homely feel Getting into shower, a hand rail would make it easier and safer
