Guest Reviews
- Clair (3/5): Incredibly disappointing - It was a short walk to beach Unfortunately first impressions do count. On arriving at the front door to the apartment we were greated by a large hole in the ceiling. Probably not the fault of the owner but it was not a good start.
Inside there were many things that fell below an acceptable standard for a property being rented.
In the showroom the towel rail and toilet roll holder were both broken. The window catches in the bathroom and other rooms were broken. The windows could not be closed. This meant the street noise bothered us as did the windows banging when it was windy.
In the kitchen there was no plug or washing up bowl for the sink so washing up was difficult. There were not enough bowls for all 4 guests so we had to eat our breakfast in relay and wash up ( with difficulty) before the others could eat. The fan in the lounge was broken. We found a new one in a box but we had to assemble it. Tricky without tools !
The door hinge to the front bedroom was broken and we feared the door would come off its hinges. The rug in this room was very old and looked dirty.
The worst feature was the front door which would only close if the key was in it and locked. We were only given one key and as a group of two couples this was a disaster. We approached the owners who kept promising to provide another key but each day of our 5 day stay there was another excuse. We had to wake our friends so they could let us in !! Totally ruined the holiday.
The owners responded to our complaints but did not action them.
The apartment was expensive. Yes it is Sydney. Yes it is in Bondi. Yes it was New Year but this property fell well short of any standards and I would think a discount should have been offered. Be very careful if you choose to stay here.
- Rebecca (8/5): Cute 2 bedroom apartment, near the beach & right amongst cafes & bars. - The location was fantastic. Right on a street with cute bars & cafes. Small walk to Bondi Beach. Nothing
- Jessica (8/5): Would stay again - Location No air con
- Sharron (10/5): Exceptional -
