• Barbatus (10/5): eccelente - One of the most comfortable apartments I’ve stayed in so far in Italy. High ceilings, spacious rooms, and fully equipped flat for a pleasant stay. The landlady is very kind and unobtrusive – so much so that we even managed the key handover without meeting in person. The bed is huge and incredibly comfortable – I slept as on a cloud. The kitchen is fully supplied with every type of cookware. There’s a microwave, a large gas cooker, and a big oven. A kettle, toaster, and a small coffee machine are also provided. The bathroom is spacious and filled with natural light. The only minor issue is that the shower cubicle is a bit small for my size, but that’s not a real complaint. This apartment and the landlady come highly recommended for those looking to stay in Rome away from the city noise. The area is well connected to the centre via the Roma Giardinetti rail line, which terminates at Roma Laziale, right next to Roma Termini. There’s also a bus that stops in front of the building and takes you within a few stops to Metro line A, from where you can travel in various directions.
