Guest Reviews
- Nazareth (10/5): - Had the whole house, and was close to muri beach
And the muri night markets that was only 10min walk away
- PAnia (10/5): -
- Hoban (8/5): A wonderful relaxing holiday with all the comforts of home. - Spacious family home with beautiful gardens and a deck to enjoy. Well equipped kitchen and extras like games, books and themed with the pineapples for a bit of fun. A immersion into Cook Island life with a menagerie of rosters, chickens, chicks, dogs and cats visiting the yard, the full island life experience! No fans in the bedrooms
- Ellen (10/5): Excellent home away from home to experience paradise - We loved our stay at the House of Pineapple! Its got a lot of space, very comfortable and a beautiful garden. The kitchen has got everything you need and more, its very well equipped. The home is located in the middle of Muri, close to the beach, bus stop and cafes/restaurant.
You haven't got sea views but the chickens, roosters and dogs give plenty entertainment and it had a big deck in full shade (there is a side deck with the sun on it). We were advised by Amy, who was very helpful, to rent a car and on hindsight we should have done that (as it seems safe to drive), that way we could have found a cheaper supermarket and explore more of the island.

- Guest (9/5): - Everything was handy Screens on doors did not close easily without falling off, and we did not find the remote for the air conditioning ..
Could also do with somewhere to hang clothes in the other bedroom
- Graeme (9/5): Great stay - The owners were exceptionally helpful setting us up for a great stay and very attentive to our requests. Thank you! A little maintenance is needed to make the balcony sliding doors easier to open and close.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - The house is spacious and has everything. All the kitchen utensils, extra towels, a washing machine.
Easy walk to Muri shops, cafes, lagoon.
And a resident family of roosters and chickens. Cant really think of anything!
- Ward (9/5): Excellent stay. We’d recommend staying at the House of Pineapple, particularly for self catering - The House of Pineapple was a great place to stay. It was really well equipped with everything we needed for a self catered holiday. The gardens are lovely and our toddler loved the chickens and finding passionfruit in the garden. The house was very spacious and clean The air con cost was very high so we didn’t pay for air con, but then we found the heat and humidity hard to deal with particularly at night
- Gracey (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (6/5): The roosters ruin an otherwise excellent place to stay. - The accommodation was well stocked with a large fridge, washing machine, coffee maker, airfyer etc and lots of towels which was great. The room was advertised with air-conditioning but there was no remote, when I told the hosts about that they didn't say anything about where the remote was. The roosters are SO bad crowing extremely loudly right outside our bedroom window from 4-5am every morning. The hosts messaged me a bit passive aggressively every day sometimes twice a day in the week leading up to our stay, regarding paying into their bank account for the room, but the booking clearly says: Pay on arrival - No prepayment is needed. I expected to pay in cash when I arrived.
- Geneva (9/5): Relaxed and comfortable - Perfect location
Accommodation had everything it needed
- Magiros (9/5): Superb -
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Amy's place was the perfect tropical home away from home! And the price is a steal compared to the hotels and resorts around the island. When I return from a day of exploring, I want peace and solitude with my family which is exactly what we found here. We'll definitely be back!
- Learna (9/5): Superb - Great value for money, located right in the middle of Muri. Close to everything. Everything was good
- Hung (9/5): Superb - Are Ara Pineapple house is very nice, clean, Beds are comfortable. Nice big deck and lovely garden, we really enjoyed it. The kitchen and family/living area has everything that we need. The big gas cook top and air fryer are great. The location is very close to the beautiful beach/lagoon, restaurants, bakery convenience stores, car rentals etc.. Early Check in and check out was very easy. Amy is very friendly, funny and helpful. We would stay at Are Ara again. Thanks Amy
- Angela (10/5): Thoughtfully presented slice of paradise - Beautiful house and gardens with loads of friendly local animal friends. Are Ara really stands out for how incredibly well-appointed it is. The facilities provided far exceeded the usual bare minimum setup that you usually find at holiday homes. Great location and easy walk to Night Markets etcc Nothing, really. Other than the distance to the beach (which we knew when we first booked and actually turned out to be a blessing in the Muri wind)
- Leigh (8/5): Great location and walking distance to Muri Beach area including Night Markets, lagoon & activities - Location, outdoor deck, gardens, comfortable living, kitchen and bottle of bubbly Noisy Roosters but you get used to it, need a bit of furniture in second bedroom
- Katharina (6/5): Pleasant - Nice house close to Muri Lagoon, possible to walk to the beach and nice restaurants. Own garden, much space AirCon in only one bedroom, so one is freezing and the other bedroom and rest of the house isn‘t cooling down a bit at all. Plus it would cost 30$ PER NIGHT. Mattress in one bedroom not good, we slept on the sofa. No wardrobe, we had to place all our clothes on the floor. Only one TV program and it‘s barely visible. DVD player, but the few DVDs arent‘t really working and are all dirty and sticky. Towels smelly and fridge/ cabinets are full of food and stuff. We had no idea how long it‘s been there already. No WiFi (you have to buy HotSpot login data at the store). Honestly, for the money paid this house needs to be updated and upgraded.
- Jayde (10/5): A comfortable home! Felt like our home away from home! Tha - "I had a fantastic experience during my stay at this property. The amenities were top-notch, and the overall cleanliness exceeded my expectations. The property itself was lovely and situated in a great location in Muri. Amy, the host, was amazing to deal with. Her responsiveness and assistance with any queries made the stay even more enjoyable. A special mention to her trustworthiness – I accidentally left my jewelry at the property, and Amy went above and beyond by promptly delivering it to my mother-in-law. The attention to detail in cleanliness, from sheets to pillows and mattresses, truly stood out. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much, Amy, for your exceptional hospitality!" Nothing to complain about!
- Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful clean and amazing host. - The property was set in a beautiful garden wish fresh coconuts and passion fruits. Was an easy walking distance to a wonderful beach and restaurants.
