• Bradley (8/5): A beautiful property on the tranquil surrounds of Boston Bay - A quiet location on the edge of town with a nice picnic/playground area a short stroll away on the water front. Rooms are self contained studios with coffee machine, microwave, toaster, getting bar fridge, making it easy for some basic meals. For such a tastefully furnished space, i felt the shower head was a let down both functionality and aesthetically.
• Rosslyn (7/5): Okay stay - Location good. Quiet at night for sleeping. Bathroom. Shower head squirted water everywhere. No shower curtain bathroom floor gets very wet. No floor towel/mat to stand on upon exiting shower. Supplied kettle had lots of flakey white scum that went past the blocked filter. Had to do our best to clean out inside kettle and clean the small filter.

• Kara (2/5): Quite disappointed with the facilities and presentation. - Great view. The property itself is nicely maintained, however not the room. No proper hand towel or bath mat which just made it feel uncomfortable. Bathroom floor had smears (obviously not cleaned properly from previous guests). Also no running water on morning on check out, because we were leaving we couldn’t be bothered contacting the host. Overall the amenities felt inadequate. The property presents nicely on the surface but could use extra attention to detail.

Foot mat and microfibre for kitchen We loved it - Location & views galore Comfy bed & nicely but simply furnished No dish cloth to wipe down kitchen sink or dining area Only silicon dish cloth. We used our own paper towel and our spare teatowel for travelling No cloth floor mat, so had to be careful on bathroom floor

• Andrew DeLaine (2/5): Opportunity missed. - Location The bed. In Unit 1, absolutely the worst mattress we have ever had the misfortune to sleep on. After 1 night had to source a mattress topper to be able to last next 2 nights. Both ended up with sore backs. The broken bathroom door. Slide broken, door swings out then rolls open while seated giving kitchen a special view. Embarrassing. Misleading photos. Website photos are montage of "The Cabin", bright & roomy, & the " Units" cramped, small, poorly maintained, noisy, insufficient hand towels, no shower screen or bath mat. Misleading & disappointing.

It was not what I expected, which may not be fault of property and owner, I think I saw what I wanted to see. The selection of photos were from various rooms and the cabin… I wanted a laundry, kitchenette to cook in and comfortable lounge. I didn’t get that.

• Keith (7/5): Despite my suggestion and criticism above we really enjoyed staying there. - There was no breakfast provided. The location was wonderful with its beautiful sea views. The access to an amazing walking path along the coastline for morning walks. It is located close to the town but feels semi-rural. There is only one improvement I would suggest and one criticism I have. I suggest the provision of internet access would be well received. In the unit we stayed in the toilet was located right next to the food preparation area with only a sliding door, which didn't close in a way that sealed off the two, separating.

• Liz (7/5): Beautiful location and property - Beautiful location in the grounds of Boston House. A little bit out from town but very spacious. There didn’t seem to be anyone onsite so when we had missing eating utensils we couldn’t really ask anyone as if wasn’t worth making someone drive out to the property .
• Chella (9/5): Stunning location & views - Gorgeous location! Rooms comfortable and have everything you need. I travel to Port Lincoln for work regularly and I really enjoyed my first stay and will stay again. Room 4 - I left a note to say the shower head may need attention. No mention of WIFI to use in the room.. so not sure if its on offer? Not the end of the world for me as I can hotspot for work.

• Rebecca (8/5): Beautiful place to stay as a couple, the view and the property are pristine, a great way to wind down - The sunset over the water was incredible, it’s a quiet location however it is situated on the highway. Access to the beach was not great having to cross the main road however the view and the cottage make up for the lack of beach access.

• Bawden (1/5): Once found the stay was excellant. - OK The address. Given as 41 and is acually 41-57 Lincoln Hwy some 3 or 4 K's away. GPS & Google both take you to 42. After 2 hours we asked at a motel nearby & he was aware that the property is called Boston House. Cobble & Stone is mentioned about half way up the driveway & not visable from the road. 8 phone calls to the property went unanswered. How is a traveller supposed to find this listing.!

• Shirley (8/5): Beautiful Boston Bay - The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Location looking over the bay was beautiful seeing ships come into the harbour. Only a short drive into the main shopping area, but it is a lovely walk on the investigator trail along the the coastline into Port Lincoln approx 5 km.

Everything was good quality and it had a nice vibe. Would recommend. A little drive out of town, which might not suit everyone, but if you have a car it's not a problem.

Good coffee pod machine. We had cottage 4 which has a hedge along the side which blocks the view of the beautiful of the beach across the road. There needs to be more crockery and cutlery.

• Dave (8/5): Very good - Lovely view over bay, lots of attention to detail in how the unit was equipped and high quality facilities/finishes (particularly for small units). Gardens v well cared for, vv good value, convenient location just outside Port Lincoln Bathroom door looks funky (sliding stable door style) but doesnt quite close properly, no obvious signage to show you're at the location on main road (there is a large sign when you get up to the units), otherwise great place!
