Guest Reviews
- Ellie (10/5): It’s a great apartment, close to beach with all we needed. - The friendly vibe and location. Nothing
- Jordan (5/5): A beautifully styled apartment in a great location, but the poor service from Gold Coast Holiday Homes made the stay str - The apartment is tastefully furnished with cool artwork and vintage décor (the outdoor couch was the most comfortable). The record player was a lovely touch, and the kitchen was very well stocked as advertised. Beds were fairly comfortable, and the guest book shows that many visitors have enjoyed their stay here over the years. The location is also great — once the roadworks are done, it’s a direct walk to the beach and very close to North Kirra Surf Life Saving Club. Linens and shampoo were not provided, which at this price point should be standard. The management company, Gold Coast Holiday Homes, were unhelpful and at times rude. Added to this, there was loud construction in the neighbouring apartment during the day and roadworks blocking direct beach access.
The morning before check-in the management company phoned to ask if I had read their emails (I hadn’t) and reminded me about ID and credit card requirements - but never mentioned linens. It wasn’t explained when I collected the keys, in the welcome pack (just a vague bullet about returning hired sheets), or in the apartment’s welcome folder.
When I discovered late in the afternoon that there were no sheets — with a young child ready for bed — I called the office. Instead of empathy or help, the response was: “not to be argumentative, but it’s in the emails.” The staff member begrudgingly offered to call the linen hire company but never followed back up to see if we were ok. Thankfully, a kind local mum we met at the park lent us sheets — the locals were more helpful than the people paid to be.
- Guest (9/5): Great, would stay there again - Loved the record player, proximity to beach Floors were a little sticky, fans and open windows didn't cut it to keep the heat down

- Sue (10/5): One of those quirky but fabulous places you’ll always remember and want to go back to! FABULOUS - Everything was retro 1960’s. So authentic plus functional. Everything anyone could want from anodised drink beakers to baking tins to fabulous washer & dryer to balcony with comfy chairs for people watching and checking out the waves. Beautifully clean and a 2 minute walk to Noth Kirra Surf Club for awesome meals and their coffee nook. Heaps of fab restaurants a 5 minute walk away. Perfect! We loved everything.
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
