Guest Reviews
- Noel (9/5): Excellent - Great location and very clean.
- Awatif (8/5): Nice place - Nearby cafe Wolfy was great Cleaning should be included every 3 days
- Svaldas (9/5): Superb - Good location, cosy apartments Problems solved with delay
- Jasmine (8/5): Very good - Wonderful house with much space! Everything is beautiful and clean, the Bus station is 1 minute to walk away! Very much trash outside of the house, not in the trashcans. The toilet on the first floor does not flush well enough
- Gowtham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ilse (8/5): Very good - We stayed with a family of 4 and 2 grandparents.
There is a lot to love about this quaint little house, the upstairs rooms are beautifully decorated and so nice and large.
Almost everything is well maintained and freshly painted, new furniture.
The house is super clean, the towels thick and fluffy. It’s warm and comfortable when you enter (although erratic pattern of radiators switching on and off in each room and not sure if the energy crisis reached UK?)
The beds upstairs very comfy and we slept very well.
The WiFi is working well and husband is happy to be able to remotely work at the desk in the bedroom.
The trampoline is great for younger kids.
The neighborhood feels safe, is an interesting mix of social housing flats, two rows of these cute little houses and streets with typical English, if what dilapidated houses and then at 300m an area of upmarket new appartement blocks and a little harbour with housing boats.
The host was reachable on Booking.com messenger, could reply somewhat faster, but when we asked for the missing sheets for the sofa beds, he quickly brought them and set up the sofa beds. We have a few requests and suggestions:
The sofa beds are totally unfit for sleeping. They look gorgeous and designy as couches, but the supporting beams are poking hard in your back, sticking out, and there is no “meat” in the mattress to cover this.
The living room is quite small. Especially as the sofas are not easy to make into beds, so once they are beds, you keep them and spend your time in the kitchen.
So would advise to only stay with 4 people there , in the 2 bedrooms upstairs.
The strings to turn on the lights in both bathrooms are dirty and brown
The handheld shower is unpractical, should be hooked to the wall.
Then, we are very frequent travelers and were hosts ourselves and we are used to some more amenities for this £££ price.
as the house seems new on Booking.com (only 1 review) and thoughtful and small things like this will get /keep the ratings up:
Small things matter and make the traveler feel welcome:
The Tassimo coffee machine , we can’t find the coffee cups to suit the machine (we visited 5 supermarkets). Maybe change the machine or provide enough cups for the guests’ stay? (My hubbie can’t function without normal coffee in the morning. 😄)
Shampo, conditioner, shower gel, lots of toilet paper for 6p for 5 days. Doesn’t cost more then 10 £, but travelers with only handbagage are very happy to use it and not buy and then having to leave these behind as they can’t take it back.
(dishwashing liquid and hand soaps were provided)
Olive oil/ cooking oil, pepper, salt, other basic herbs and spices.
When thee is no dishwasher: a few tea towels, hand towels, dishcloths.
