- Victor (1/5): Because of my experience with this Homesta and with this Homwstay’s owner, , I would not only not return to this Homest - Due to a long 13 hour overseas flight, arranging transportation from the airport to the Homestay, I missed meeting the owner when I checked in. Next day, I left at 7am for a 10 tour and did not return late in the evening. Homestay owner was angry I did not pay until then. How could I? Homestay was on the fifth floor with no elevators, access only a very narrow staircase. Homestay was not clean, with clothes remaining in washing machine and leftover food in the fridge. I found someone else’s wet cloth under the coffee table. Bed sheets smelled as if they were not cleaned. Security to Homestay was via a weak combination lock. No soap (soap dispenser was empty), only shampoo, provided. Towels were thin and of low quality. Bed mattress felt well used and not very firm. I was so disappointed by the Homestay owner, who was so unreasonable and angry because I did not pay when I first arrived. My phone battery was exhausted after a 10 hour tour, so I was unable to pick up the Homestay’s owner’s message during the day until I got back. The Homestay owner showed up at the front door within 5 min when I returned, demanding immediate payment and demanding to know why I did not reply to him during the day. I was angry and tired. I did raise my voice to the Homestay owner in response to his actions. I did later apologize to the Homestay owner, in his presence. I told him I just got back after an exhausting tour, did not have dinner yet, and would have preferred to meet him the following AM. Nevertheless, because of his anger, I immediately went to an ATM to pay him in full. He accused me of a man not acting his age. He made several other negative comments about me. I was so disappointed at the condition of the Homestay. I was so disappointed with the Homestay’s owner actions and attitude. I had no appetite to eat dinner that evening. - Ngọc (9/5): Tuyệt vời - Vị trí trung tâm, view thoáng đãng, riêng tư và đầy đủ tiện nghi Gần trung tâm ăn uống vui chơi nên hơi ồn về đêm

- Lann (9/5): - The host created a welcoming and professional experience from the moment we arrived. They were responsive and attentive, even assisting with airport transfer arrangements.
Located right in the center of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, it offers great convenience for getting around, dining, and experiencing local life.
The room meets all basic needs with essential amenities such as hot water and a clean bathroom.
- Lele (9/5): VERY NICE - Luna offers a comfortable and convenient stay right in the center of Hanoi. With its prime location in the Old Quarter, you can easily walk to many popular attractions and enjoy a wide variety of local food nearby.
The rooms are neatly designed and consistently clean. I chose a room with a balcony, which gave me extra space to relax and enjoy the city atmosphere.
A big plus is the host’s hospitality—always responsive and attentive, making you feel at home. This is an ideal place for those who want to both explore and relax during their trip to Hanoi.

A very worthwhile choice when visiting Hanoi!
If you’re looking for a comfortable stay with a great location in Hanoi, Luna House is definitely worth considering. The rooms are clean, well cared for, and feature a modern design. If you choose a room with a balcony, you’ll have a nice, chill space to relax.
One of the best things is the super convenient location in the heart of the Old Quarter, making it easy to explore everything around. The host is also very welcoming and responsive, always ready to assist guests.
Overall, a great experience—perfect for both short trips and relaxing stays.

- Lann (10/5): - The room is very beautiful and also keep cleaning all the time i have stayed. Nearby Pho Co, Ho Guom Lake and Ms Hang is very nice with us.
- Minh Tuan (5/5): - Vị trí trung tâm, thuận tiện đi lại Khó tìm vì không có biển hiệu cụ thể, tầng trên cùng có nước mưa vào phòng, cửa nhôm chưa được riêng tư
- Mario (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denice (10/5): Warm welcome and stay - Photos as described. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating. I actually left a necklace which was very near and dear for me. I asked if they can look for it and if they can keep it for me, because we were going back to Hanoi after our stay in Sa Pa. They did and waited for me to come back. The necklace was safe and secure and I got it back. The stairs up was unexpected but very manageable.
- Thắng (10/5): Exceptional - I have booked rooms here many times, I have met a very enthusiastic housekeeper, she is always ready to support me and others, in addition there is a young man who is friendly and ready to help everyone in everything, I have booked a tour from him, it is great.

- Thắng (10/5): Good - Exceptional
+ Couldn’t ask for a better location. It locates right in the heart of the old quarter. If you’re looking to stay in a place that is not a conventional hotel room, you should definitely try this place out. The room was cozy and relatively spacious for 2 people. The bed was comfy and there are everything you need. The host is more than exceptional.
- Yu-jui (3/5): If you don’t mind the cleanliness, it’s ok to book it. - The location Not clean in the bathroom and there’s a gap between the photo and reality
- Jakub (9/5): Nice room with pleasant owners - Nice, clean room in the hearth of old quarter. Very good communication with owner and his family. Very nice people. Refrigerator and air condition I also included. There were too many things in the room, it felt little bit crowdy. Also some sign in doors would be nice to find it quicker.
- Dierk (8/5): Very good - First we stayes in Room 5 one nigth, than we could go down to Room 3 which meens 3rd.floor (no lift)
- Marina (9/5): Superb -
- James (6/5): Hmmm not sure about this one... - Very difficult place to find... Location is set to a nail/spa shop, go slightly further down the alley and on the left is a tour guide shop where the rooms are located. We spent a while getting in contact with our host, nice and honest guy but clearly very new to running a homestay. He gave us a key to get in and out when needed. Location is perfect, can't fault that. Room was not what it looks like in the pictures. Bed is basically a mattress on top of some wooden pallets (surprisingly comfy though) but the sheet just falls off in the night. It's spacious, and nice to have a sofa but seemed like a guest had just left before as his partner was cleaning when we arrived so I think it was a rush to get us in as the bathroom was a state and some mouldy food was left in the fridge. Saying all this, we stayed an extra night because our Ha Giang Loop tour was cancelled - we got breakfast 1 out of 2 nights (even though I believe it is listed as breakfast included)
- Dissanayake (9/5): Hanoi a great place to stay - The place was really amazing because it was situated in the heart of hanoi where the beer street happens also the night market. There were many tour agencies with good prices for you to go on day tours. We really loved staying around the area and it became so familiar for us to find the streets. The noise of the crowed when you want to enjoy a good meal also the reckless scooters passing right infront of you when you need to cross the roads also the honking are like inside your ear.
- Ioannisae (8/5): Cute stay in ideal location - Very friendly and helpful host, ideal location. Might not be the best option if one is sensitive to street noise.
- Miguel (10/5): Authentic and charming homestay - A quaint and authentic homestay, the family owns the business below (a travel agency) and the rooms above, you stay in one of the rooms in their home basically.
The hosts are great, happy to help out (they offered to handle breakfast since we were leaving for Sa Pa before anything opened), offered advice and would answer any question we had.
The room itself is simple but fully equipped to be comfy and you stay at one of the main old quarter streets (1 minute walking to the night market) but in a side alley which makes it quiet for the area
- Зураб (10/5): I had a feeling that I visited an old friend! - I loved everything. Location, interior, infrastructure. But the most impressive poimt to me was the owner's hospitality. He was so nice and welcoming, we had really nice talks. That was great! I remember that last evening before I left Hanoi, his wife prepared a wonderful Vietnamese dinner that was sooo delicious! Thank you! I hope to be back one day! Everything was great!
- Diane (6/5): Cheap and cheerful. - Good location and lovely owners.
It was the cheapest room we found at short notice.
Ok for a quick overnight stop.
Packed our breakfast for us to eat later as we had an early bus. Lovely bahn mi. Too much clutter in the room- it could be made much nicer.
Difficult to find as it’s above a travel shop.
- Zoe (10/5): Would stay here again!! - My stay in Hanoi was an absolute delight. The staff at the accommodation were the nicest and incredibly helpful throughout my visit, making me feel right at home. The location couldn't have been any better, as it allowed me to explore the heart of the city with ease. The studio was ideal for both short and long stays, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable visit. If you're looking for an authentic local experience in Hanoi with the added bonus of great comfort and friendly people, this is the only place to stay. I can't recommend it enough!
- Pk (10/5): Exceptional - You get a homely feeling when you enter the room..it is a one bedroom apartment in the heart of Hanoi with bookshelves and great aesthetics..I mean if you like that kinda ambience.. No elevator
