• THUTO (8/5): I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back and recommend the place to my family & friends. - The breakfast was nice and they should add a few options and have a variety. The entire establishment is clean, smells good and their hospitality stood out for me as it was exceptional. Keep up the good work. They need to fix the leak in the hot tub and the sliding door leading outside to the jacuzzi is problematic. The shower head was also nice but the pressure of the water is also too little. Overall the room is perfect and is exactly as seen on the website.

• Mafadza (8/5): Marvelous - What a beautiful property it is, they are very flexible with guest needs and wants. We had fruits from their garden, the staff was friendly and available always. The breakfast was delicious not a lot of variety on drink options though. That may be improved. The restaurant is beautiful with good views, a bit of maintenance of the broken swing and plants that need some watering. Overall the stay was wonderful and i will be going back again, it was a wonderful stay. More drinks variety and falling off a swing which wasn't marked as out of order.

Breakfast: I think the host can accommodate guests better with regards to breakfast, it is usually served at 06:00 at most restaurants, 07:30 is too late especially if you have plans for the day.

• Darko (2/5): Not coming back - The reception area is in a very poor condition, extremely hot, and the ceiling is broken. The room only provides one pillow each. The cutlery was not enough, only a few pieces, and plastic knives and forks were in between the few cutlery. There was only Ricoffy to drink, and this is not proper coffee, not for the price you pay for the room. The breakfast was the worst experience ever. The same lady that's the security guard, receptionist, is the chef as well. She only offered us Ricoffy or tea to drink. We asked for filter coffee or juice, just NO. She did not ask us how we would prefer our eggs to be done, or white or brown toast. The eggs were probably baked an hour in advance and were so rubbery, the yellow was like powder. The bacon was so oily that no normal person could eat that. we did not touch this cold plate of food. No seviettes, just a box of tissues in the basket with the butter and jams. This probably was a stunning place before, but now it's not maintained and the staff is not trained.

Top up menu will be good if maybe we want sasuage or worse or mushrooms added to the complimentary breakfast. Otherwise it's great The glass outside at the swimming pool needs cleaning. The bar area seem to have had a tv for entertainment but was not there.

• Londani (6/5): It has potential - Location Friendly staff 1. False information about the penthouse I booked. It was described as having a separate bedroom, which wasn't the case as it was a bedsit. I tried to reason with the owner expressing how I wasn't happy with the false information on booking .com. He was defensive, concerned about how much money he had spent on the room and the cost of the trees dotted in the yard. No word of apology and insistently blamed it on booking.com as responsible for the error. Had they not described it as having a separate room I would have not booked the room. 2. It's too crowded, inside and outside. I think a 3 seater couch, 6 chairs, 4 tables is a bit of an overkill for a bedsit including an extra large bed in their penthouse. Less is more. 3. The rooms are kitted with a cooker, microwave, fridge freezer but we were not allowed to cook. The housekeeper could not give a reason why but that it was instructed by the owner. We had to rely on fast food during our 5nights stay. 4. The advert on booking.com describes breakfast included. However, the breakfast was basic (2slices of toast and 2 fried eggs and bacon) and limited to either 1cup of tea/coffee or juice but not both. - no variety for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was often cold as it was made a fair distance from the dining area. By the time it reached the table it was cold. Furthermore, it was uncovered as the route from the kitchen to the dining area passed by the outside toilets. Again, I asked the owner about the breakfast options and he told me that it was complimentary as he paid it "from his own money" 5. On our 1st night there were only a couple of cookies in the jar and no tea /coffee or sugar. When we mentioned this to staff they didn't see what the fuss was all about. They did top up the jar but couldn't eat the cookies as there were cockroaches in the jar (see photos).

• Geoffrey (7/5): A pleasant place to unwind - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the jacuzzi a nice size too. Conveniently located in the city for a quick break without a long drive. The list of facilities includes items which were not available - there was limited cutlery and crockery and no pots or pans, despite having an oven and stove in the room; we were informed that they do not allow cooking unless it is a long-term stay, which is not what we had planned based on the available facilities. The advertisement said braai facilities were available, however when we arrived with our food planned to put on the braai, we were told there is no braai, so had to alter our menu for the trip.

They have sockets that are compatible with European plugs (it also worked with my Brazilian devices). The internet connection there isn't the best, but this is a problem everywhere. They could improve the breakfast also. The location is not the best, since you must take an Uber to downtown and spend more money, but the area is much safer than downtown.

• de Waal (1/5): Run for the hills - Nothing , except leaving as soon as possible As a starter, the establishment advertises as a 4 star hotel and we booked the "President Suite" or whatever is called. Lol! There were absolutely no (as in zero /none / nobody) staff members available (except a friendly, but hapless security guard). No barman, no drinks available (thus, no room service - a 4 star hotel!!!), except a choice of two beer brands (lukewarm), no wine (nada). Dirty couch cushions, dirty outside areas. When - (i) I asked the manager / owner why there is no staff he said that he doesn't want to incur unnecessary costs if the hotel is not busy; and (ii) I pointed out that it is unacceptable, he became belligerent and said that no one should tell him how to manage or run his hotel. Room fridge had ice in it, dating back to the Ice Age. Old and fraid towels, etc etc. We opted to rather stay at another establishment. Avoid like the plague. We ended up staying at the Radisson for 2/3rds of the price and got that we had hoped we will get at 24 on whatever.
