Guest Reviews
- Kevin Mark (5/5): - Location and entry instructions were great Pillows were awful. No garbage disposal apart from instructions to leave on nearby street, but no obvious collection there! Very noisy to tubes from 6 in morning until midnight
- anna (9/5): Lovely compact place with everything we needed, in a perfect location. Very safe and convenient area of london, near tub - Excellent location I would have liked another pillow
- Kendall (9/5): - Beautiful place really love self contained. Felt secure abd safe with the camera next to the door Early morning building works in the house above the apartment. But other than that I enjoyed the environment
- Therese (8/5): Cute little studio near King 's Cross - The studio is quite spacious and is fantastically well located. We had a small issue with the hot water and the manager was very reactive and the problem was quicky resolved. The mattress is quite thin, which can be an issue for some travellers.
- Gildo (9/5): You feel like a real Londoner.! - Localisation, charme, tranquilité ,independance On peut sentir les vibrations et le bruit du metro tôt le matin, normal ,c’est un basement flat!
- graeme (9/5): - All the instructions were perfectly clear and everything worked as it should. Nothing, another pillow perhaps would be good.
- Adrienn (7/5): Ok but could use some changes - Overall clean and the bed was comfy. I went during winter, main room was warm. Easy check in. Ok for one person, not much privacy for two people. The toilet is really damp, condensation is running down the walls perhaps because it's winter. Don't leave anything in there, it's going to get moldy. Shower is only overhead one and could use a change. Lots of fees and fines listed in case anything happens or you need any kind of assistance.

- Kft (6/5): In case you are a good sleeper, this is best option for you. - Location was good, the small apartment had everything I needed. There is an underground way very close, so you can here all trams coming, during night also.
- Juan F. (8/5): - Well located. The bed is comfortable. Well equipped. Heating works well. The toilet is quite cold, since it's separated from the main room and has no heating. The shower is a bit too low for a tall person.
- Claire (10/5): Séjour agréable. La situation géographique était parfaite pour nous. - Studio propre et confortable, proche de la gare et de différents établissements de restauration.
Possibilité également d’aller à pied vers les lieux touristiques et culturels .
- David (5/5): Great location, a functional but not very comfy apartment, underground trains are noisy - The apartment is in a great location, it was clean with a well equipped kitchen. Easy walk from Kings Cross/St panc, and only a short walk into soho, the west end. Near to Russell Sq tube and also lots of shops, pubs, cafe's nearby. There was an intersting page about the history of the building in the information book. The apartment has been renovated and furnished in a strange way. The shower head was only one inch above my head (I'm 5'7" so for any man of average height it wouldn't be good. It was functional but not comfortable, a small telly, only one un-comfy arm chair. There were lots of notices warning about a variety of things, that made me feel unwelcome. The underground runs near, so the tube trains can be clearly heard (they stop from about midnight to 05:00). All of the key safes for the properties are outside the window of this basement flat and so people come and go. The lock to the gate at the top of the steps was difficult to operate in the dark and with one hand. In the apartment was a door marked "no access" I did hear voices beyond it at one point, but there is no bolt or lock to secure this door from the apartment, I didnt like that. Its a shame really because with better furnishing and a different shower head, and maybe just one set of intsructions, a better lock on the gate, a lock to the other room. It could be good, as it was it was OK.
- Dominique (8/5): Tres agreable et bien situé - Confortable , bien situé, lumineux, indépendant, frais en été. Rien
- OLAYINKA STEVE (9/5): Enjoy my stay - The neatness of the place I didn’t like the basement location of the apartment

- Jewel (8/5): Very good -
- Nicholas (7/5): Nice apartment in a very good location, but lacking in style. - Very good location and quite a cute apartment. This could be a really wonderful apartment but lacked style. Cheap Ikea sofa bed permanently out meant there was no sofa and just one chair to watch TV. The shower head is too low and the toilet facilities cold. Awkward bicycle lock to get through front gate.
- Johnathan (9/5): A top class, chic studio apartment. Would def. book again. - Spotlessly clean; very well equipped; keys in lock-box; great shower, plenty of hot water; great location (Kings Cross/St Pancras 7 minute walk). Bathroom would benefit from 2nd towel rail and/or hook on back of door. Better arrangement for disposal of garbage (small bin under spiral staircase area?)
- Jane (5/5): Would be nice if not so noisy - Clean, comfortable, well equipped, lovely location Loud noise of underground made it impossible to sleep more than 5 hours per night.
Shower too low to stand under.
No deadlock or bolt on door (despite instructions to double lock the door).
Steep narrow spiral stairs. Very difficult to get down with luggage.
- Simon (10/5): Great place to stay and enjoy London - Location, facilities, suprising quiet for central London
- Mailén (9/5): Totally recommend! - Location, space, facilities, host.
Everything was easy and comfortable. Shower is in the room, you could hear the subway and the neighbors upstairs but nothing crucial.
- Matthew (8/5): Well-located studio flat; great for exploring London on a budget. - Room is well located, on a quiet street a few minutes' walk from Kings Cross-St Pancras stations. Within a one street radius are a pub, a couple of takeaways, and a well stocked corner shop/off licence.
Nice and airy room, with all the facilities you'd expect, with good WiFi (I used it happily for work, and streaming a movie). Keys are accessed via a lockbox, so no need to worry about late check-in.
Bed comfortable, and sheets clean. Kitchenette seems well stocked, and everything is clean and in good condition. The positioning of the fixed shower head is far too low. I'm reasonably tall (6'2"), and the shower head was at about my chin level, meaning I had to crouch under it to wash. Plenty of room above for the shower head to be positioned higher, so seems an odd decision - can only assume the owners have never tried to use it (or are very short!)
Though generally clean, there were a few cobwebs above head height, and a few stray black hairs (I'm blonde, so not mine).
Not a problem for me, but worth noting that access is via a tight spiral staircase outside. Those with large luggage, or who are elderly or struggle with walking might find it difficult.
- Matthew (3/5): Poor -
- Mariana (9/5): Superb -
- Yael (10/5): Exceptional - Location and clean apartment. 7 min walk to king cross station
- Carole (9/5): Lovely Apartment - It was lovely and warm and central to where I needed to be. It had all I needed, sufficient space, very clean and decent kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle, hob, pots and pans, dinner plates and cutlery ... even dishcloth, washing up liquid and tea towel.Tesco Express opposite Russell Square underground and local Waitrose. TV not positioned well for watching TV in bed (after long tours of London) (not really a big moan though)
Shocked at the spiral staircase to basement. Almost fell down with suitcase! Think they have others so if you are even a little bit imobile don't have this one. Had terrible trouble getting back up with case too.
