• Karen (7/5): GOOD LOCATION OVERLOOKING CANAL/CLEAN/COMFORTABLE - The hosts were very helpful and kind. The breakfast was adequate. The location, very good. Our room was spacious and overlooked the canal and many gondolas passing .. however, the rules in Italy are such that the heating in Venice is not allowed to be turned on until 15 October and, for us, although the days were warm and beautifully bright, sunshine and blue sky in the first week of October .. the room itself was very chilly overnight.

Doorbell upon arrival was not picked up by hotel staff - we were locked out and another guest had to let us in. No ironing board or dish soap in room. Room did not match the photos - we asked for green room with view of bridge but got outdated white room.

The room was very spacious and Amir was a great host who met us and showed us everything when we arrived. The bathroom had a flickering light that was a little annoying but just a minor thing and the water pressure/shower head was not great but otherwise all good.

• Madeline (10/5): - We loved the location. So close to everything we wanted to see and most tour meet up points were no more than 10 minutes based on our specific itinerary. The room itself is beautiful. Right on the canal and you get to hear all the music and singing during the day from the gondolas. The balconies in our room were great for people watching. The tub is a little high up. Not sure if this is common in Italy but could pose a problem for those with mobility issues. Other than that it was a fantastic stay! Neither of us have mobility issues so it wasnt that big of an issue, just took some getting used to.

• Keith (9/5): - Having a lift was nice, though it was only large enough for one person and two suitcases. Still, it meant I didn't have to carry the bags to the top floor so was very nice! Room was great, was a little loud with the windows open, but its very central so what do you expect.

• Isha (10/5): We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Residenza San Marco La Padrona to anyone who values warm hospitality, - The location was fantastic (right in the heart of everything, yet tucked away enough to be peaceful) and the staff were amazing - went above and beyond with their hospitality, always friendly and ready to help. Even small details, like assisting with dinner reservations, were handled with such care. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Highly recommend!

On pourrait croire que vu la proximité avec le centre, c'est bruyant. Pourtant, c'était calme à partir de 22h et ce, jusque 8h du matin. De plus, la chambre présente tout le confort nécessaire : la literie est bonne, la salle de bain a tout ce qu'il faut, la chambre est spacieuse.

A few small - Perfect location for our honeymoon in Venezia, easy to get around, and the window views were beautiful. We didn’t have breakfast there, but everything else was great! It would be more convenient to have an iron in the room instead of going down to reception.

The room had 5 windows, all five were open and we watched the gondoliers every day. Every time I return to Venice, I will always book a room here!

The room was beautiful with amazing views of the gondolas. Very clean. The hotel is in a great location, only 10 min walk to the water taxi’s and close by to piazza and restaurants. You can also take a gondola ride right outside the hotel. It was in a great location! Nothing negative to say about this hotel. The beds weren’t the comfiest but we still had good sleeps. The gondoliers start setting up quite early in the morning and make a bit of noise but we enjoyed waking up to the sounds!

• Sarah (10/5): Wonderful find in the heart of Venice - Amazing location, so central we could walk everywhere we wanted in a matter of minutes. Our room was bigger than expected and had wonderful views over the canal, everything was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We arrived well before check in time and left well after but we were able to leave our bags with the very friendly owners with no problem at all. Also, although we stayed on a Saturday night in July, it was quiet and peaceful through the night. We would definitely stay here again!
