Guest Reviews
- Cynthia (7/5): OK, but heating and checkout instructions were basics that were missing. - My stay was mostly enjoyable. I mostly slept well and could use most of the equipment. The shower was fine and buses and shops were nearby. There were no printed instructions on how to use anything. So I had to figure out by trial and error how to defrost in the microwave. I was cold on my last night. I turned up the thermostat on the wall but that did not turn on the radiators. As it was already 10 p.m., I did not want to disturb the hosts to find out how the heating worked. It is possible that the column that looked like an air conditioner was a heater, but I don't live in Canada and had never seen a machine like that before. Sending checkout instructions the morniing of checkout is too late. I did not receive them before I left. They should be on printed instructions in the place, along with wifi and equipment instructions.
- Holmewood (7/5): Suited us but required some maintenance - The door keypad failed to.work the last day and we required assistance to replace the batteries. Fixed in 2 hours but caused us some anxious moments.
- Hagerman (10/5): - Cute apartment in a great location!
- don (6/5): If you don't need 'pet friendly', give this puppy a miss! - I'm going to use two analogies to discuss this property ... the glass half full/half empty and the three strikes you're out. Before I do that, however, I will note that the unit was very clean, check-in using the provided ahead of time door code was excellent and the bed was comfortable.
Glass half full ... the location is excellent for walking ... we walked up Agricola to Hydrostone to Lucy's cafe 🥰 and stopped along the way at the Egghead and Agricola bookstores, making purchases at both places. Clara's cafe, right beside the premises, was an excellent place to start the day. The Citadel is only a short walk away and downtown and the harbour are within walking distance. Glass half empty ... However, the location was one of the main negatives ... being a busy thru street, the traffc was always present ... during the night a car or cars (bunched by a traffic light up the road) would pass every few minutes ... being a light sleeper, I laid awake for hours as the tunnel-like nature of the street (narrow and lined by continguous buildings) provided for a wonderful resonance (enhanced by the occasional machine the noise of which apparently affirmed the owner's ongoing existence in the world). Parking (we didn't have a car) is pretty much non-existent during the day, and although I didn't see any enforcement, signs did announce a two-hour maximum, 8:00am - 6:00pm.
We were in Unit 2 .. directly outside the window, about 20 feet away is a street light .. the curtains on the windows were a paper thin, white material, of no consequence in providing any semblance of darkness whatsoever .. STRIKE 1
Combined with the traffc noise, STRIKE 2
A couple of foul balls slowly quelled my enthusiasm. The kitchen lacked any 'supportive to the traveller' amenities ... such as salt, pepper, sugar ... perhaps some condiments such as hetchup. As well. a small jar of Maxwell House instant coffee brought tears of laughter to my face ... website pics not of Unit 2- but Unit 1.
The towel rack was holding on by the skin of its teeth, making me hesitant to use it. The fire alarm in the kitchen was a couple of wires dangling from the ceiling.
The pillows need an upgrade.
Bottom line ... For $315.00 per night, I was left with the feeling that if a person wasn't traveling with a pet and in need of accommodation welcoming to pets, it would unfortunately be my suggestion that you take a miss on this place.
- Steven (6/5): - Great location, and a lovely room The curtains were almost see through. This isn’t a privacy issue, but was absolutely horrible at night because the street lights shine directly into the room. Even with an eye mask it was very bright while trying to sleep. If they put some decent window coverings on, this place would have been amazing
- Nathalie (8/5): Convenient and cozy - Great location, cozy accommodations, balcony a nice perk. You hear every single noise on the street from cars and trucks right down to people speaking. Tough for a light sleeper but fine for others.
- Carlyle (9/5): It was perfect for what we needed, which was a pet friendly centrally located stay. - Location was great and the space had all the basics. Loved how pet friendly it was. There are very bright streets lights outside and the curtains dont block the light so it's very bright in the room at night.

Would definitely recommend.
