Guest Reviews
- Pauline (6/5): The property was good for a short stay and well located but the bathroom needs to be cleaned up - The location was pretty good and not too far from the center of London The bathroom was dirty and smelled bad, the apartment was pretty cold too
- Ghada (8/5): - Everything was available
- Silvia (6/5): - Buon appartamento, silenzioso e discretamente arredato. Ottimo se si considera un il costo. Il bagno. Veramente tutto da rifare
- Katrina (8/5): It is a great little flat in a fab location and well equipped. - It was brilliantly located, superbly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately the bath wouldn’t drain properly but apart from that everything was great and we would definitely stay again
- Alfonso (10/5): -
- Konstantinos (8/5): I would stay again - The view to the shard gave a nice vibe to the house. All rooms are spacious and the house is well equipped with details that make the difference (iron, folder with instructions to everything etc.). Very close to borough market and good instructions provided by the host. The bathroom needs a revamping: there is mold on the ceiling and the bathtub has black marks. Other than that, the house in good condition.
- Jennifer (7/5): Pleasant but in desperate need of renovation ie painting etc - Could relax in a home like environment & cook our own meals. No privacy from street as no curtains or blinds except bedroom. Mould in bathroom, dips in flooring & very spongy. Nice view to park across the road spoilt by overgrown & rubbish in front garden of flat.
- Amanda (6/5): Mixed review - left cleaner than found - Good location and amount of space to relaxing , plenty of space to hang clothes and keep bags etc. No window coverings in the living room, which felt uncomfortable at ground level next to a park -
The bathroom smelt awful of damp and mould, this smell was present all weekend and very unpleasant.
- eliraz (9/5): Great getaway bolthole in Southwark - The location is stellar and the flat was so quiet for such a location.
The apartment has everything you need for a long weekend. The kitchen and utensils are a bit tired, but all functional. The rubbish situation was a bit sketchy, but manageable!
If you order food using an app, you need to be very, very careful with what address you end up with! Lol!
- Roger (8/5): - Emplacement et vue sur the Shard Petites finitions à faire.
- Marcela (10/5): Ambiente acolhedor - Localização boa e vizinhança tranquila. Tem supermercado e estação de metrô próximos.
O flat é aconchegante e limpo e tinha todos os itens informados no anúncio,
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - Location Nothing
- Mathieu (9/5): Cheap, clean, very practical and calm area. -
- Chantal (6/5): Good location BUT a lot of loud TV noise from upstairs neighbour. - The location of this property was very good. It was in a calm area yet walking distance to tourist attractions, two nice pubs very close by as well as a good Indian restaurant. We also liked the living room. The tv, couch, and dining area were very good and the view on the shard was actually really fun. Most importantly: the sound nuisance from the upstairs neighbor! We woke up at 7 AM on one day because of the loud tv of the neighbor and then a day later even AT 5 AM!! This was really annoying and frustrating. The owner of this property does provide ear plugs. Besides, although the cleanliness was good, the bathroom was quite old and did not feel very comfortable. The same holds for the kitchen. The bed was not comfortable. We are young and we slept OK, but if you have back problems I don't recommend it.
- Bronwyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anastasia (8/5): Good - Good location, easy access and good communication from host The bed is very worn out. Could feel the springs and a dip in the middle. It has been mentioned in previous reviews in the last couple of months. Would be good if the host could do something about that, it would definitely make it a 10/10 :)
- Jon (4/5): Photos and description slightly misleading - Good location for tube Questionable area.
- Malene (8/5): Very good - Everything was as described in the listing. The flat is in a council block and is a bit old, but everything was clean and functional. Location was in a quiet residential area, easy walk to Borough tube station and a Boris bike (Santander Cycles) docking station nearby. The bed was a small double (what Americans would call full size, not queen size) and the mattress was pretty saggy. I was traveling alone so it was ok but it would be a bit uncomfortable for 2 people, I think.
- Ivan (9/5): Superb - Great communication with the owner. Nice quiet location but still close to attractions.
- Lynne (7/5): It was just what we needed for an overnight stay. - The location The property needs a little upgrading. (bathroom)
- Paula (8/5): Perfect location! Comfortable, clean and quiet. - The location was perfect! In a quiet neighbourhood but in walking distance from London Bridge, Borough market and Bermondsey Street (with very nice restaurants and the best cinnamon rolls ever!). Great view on the Shard.
It was also quite comfortable and very clean The bed was quite small. Not a problem for us as a couple, but as friends it can get very cosy ;)
- Graeme (8/5): Very good - Warm cosy flat, great view excellent location. Easy to find and use. Only small gripe but tv wasn't working. All other aspects of flat was great
- Mohanad (9/5): Superb -
- Ela (9/5): Great base to explore London on foot. - Location, location, location…
It is very clean, very comfortable and offers everything you might need and then some & great access to public transport. It’s nothing to do with the host or their flat, but the upstairs (?) neighbour’s television/radio was very loud and on most of the time. Loud as in I could understand every single word of the programmes they were watching.
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - Really clean, surprisingly spacious and quiet flat. Only 10mins from Borough Tube Station and 15mins from Borough Market. Nothing
- Paul (7/5): Great for visiting - Location great
- Peter (8/5): Nice apartment with good location for central London - The apartment was bigger than I thought it would be. Good location for central London and my office. Easy to get in and everything needed for a good stay. The kitchen was well equipped. The road outside did not have cars on it so no road noise even though it was ground floor. The ceiling was thin so on the first night when the neighbour turned on their TV at 4.30am I could hear every word (they turned it up loud). This wasn't a problem the second night even though I could hear them walking around and it is also on the ground floor so you can hear people outside. I am used to this living in a city centre apartment. I could not find terrestrial TV channels so would have had to login to my streaming services to watch it, not a major problem for me as I was didn't want to watch TV:
- Judy (10/5): Very comfy , great location and easy access to everywhere - The location was great, I normally walk about 10 minuet to London Bridge Station and I can reach covent Garden in 10 minuets There aren't many trendy coffee shops around the area
- Ken (10/5): Good value for money - Excellent Location.
Beautiful and well-maintained. -
- Evans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Niall (8/5): Very good -
- Sonali (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (9/5): Superb - All facilities included, great location and contact with the owner
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Dao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hadrien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miller (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, and comfortable flat with a well laid out kitchen.
- Matthew (10/5): Great location, and exceptional value - Location, and condition and feel of the place, especially for the money. This can't be changed, but the property is in a highly residential area, and you can hear the neighbours on occasion. Everything else more than makes up for this though.
- Lisa (9/5): Very convenient location and great little apartment. - Great location, easy walk from either London Bridge or Borough stations. Quiet in the evenings. Although small, the flat had everything we needed - it was well equipped and very clean. Fantastic view of the Shard.
- Garrett (8/5): Very good -
- Gunay (10/5): Exceptional - The owner thought about all smallest details that a guest may need. Very smooth checkin.
- James (10/5): Great location and a very tidy flat for a quick stay in the city - It was very compact and had what was needed for a quick stop over in town The mattress could’ve been better as it’s given me a sore shoulder but really, for the price, it was a great place
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (9/5): Cute apartment in excellent location - Nice little flat in a handy location, perfect for the Southbank where I had to be all week. Would stay again Everything was great
