Guest Reviews
- Adeboye (8/5): Value for money - Excellent location Noise upstairs
- Samantha (6/5): Stay was good just attention to detail and some little adjustments and it would be great - Location was great and convenient easy walk to local restaurants etc. communication was great A lot of little issues with the property that could easily be rectified,
Remote for tv wasn’t for the lounge tv was replaced with a universal remote that wasn’t suitable for the tv only found that out as had to google how to use the remote as no instructions were provided. No broom, mop vacuum cleaner only 1 tea towel dish cloth etc. when staying for longer then a night or 2 these really need to be available to change out. No outside lighting, kitchen lacking in basic utensils and place just needed a really good clean. Also the picture hanging in the lounge room is not very suitable and quite offensive really.
- Tanya (10/5): Great location, comfy beds! - Great location, easy parking Nothing
- Barry (8/5): Loved the location, cleanliness and facilities. - Loved that we had a short walk to Salamanca markets and were able to leave our car at the property while we were away.
Great that we had our own bathrooms. Bed was comfy and plenty of seats for us both in the lounge room and the kitchen. The grill still had cheese in it.
- Robert (7/5): Great location and great value. Comfy and clean. - Great location, great value, comfy beds and clean. Granted it’s an old building but was noisy. We could hear the peoples actual conversations in the upstairs apartment and every time they moved we could hear every step.
Only one bedroom had hanging space or even shelving etc for clothing.
2 bathrooms are side by side (no ensuite).
- Sophie (8/5): - Two bathrooms, washing machine and comfy beds was super great
- michael (7/5): -
- Karen (1/5): We booked for a 3 night stay and left after the first night. - Nothing at all. Lack of natural light, basement converted into an apartment with obviously no sound proofing to floor above, in fact you could hear everything that happened up there quite clearly. We made a complaint to management in the early hours of the morning which he said he addressed, this being the case the noise just got louder.
- Brendan (8/5): It was a great weekend - Great location, basic, neat & tidy. Comfortable beds. No internet (or support for assistance)!
- Vijayendra (10/5): - Its central to everything in Hobart. The property itself had everything required for a family to have a comfortable stay.
- Navjot K (3/5): Worse - The accomodation was so dirty.Hair were everywhere on towels bathroom sinks blankets.
2nd room bed was made us badly itchy couldnt sleep whole nights. Did not get a toster.Accomodation manager John never pick up phone.toilet seats were not clean at all.Never know its in the basement facing to car parking
Whole nights the people living upstairs keep moving running like a battle happening.Shit accomodation.should be mentioned on the time of booking that which floor accomodation we get other wise we would book some other accomodation. Already explained
- Julin (3/5): Disappointed realistically the WiFi didnt work period the fridge had no shelving g in the doors - This property is obviously a money earner only another tenant had acess to my bedroom this is an obvious safety issue I cou,d list numerous shortfalls /faults no WiFi fridge no shelves in door with family this is needed dryer had actual shells sand and lint hadn't been cleared for some time the sheets on one of the beds had actual blood on them upstairs noise really impacted us
- Qiwen (5/5): It doesn’t worth the price I paid. Perhaps it’s a common issue in Hobart. - Location is close to city centre. Floor, kitchen and toilet are dirty.
Hair and dust everywhere.
- Alicia (7/5): It was comfortable & very convenient. - The location was great. It was a little loud from the upstairs apartments. Even just walking around you could hear them upstairs.
- Jack (10/5): Very cosy good for the kids hope they was not to loud for anyone above but perfect little spot for families or even coup - Was very family cozy Couple of dents in the walls and cabinets witch if we didn’t take photos of before hand I feel we’d get the blame for them obviously we didn’t but yeah that’s my opinion
- Debra (8/5): Great location and space. - My only thought was it could've used a full length mirror somewhere for when getting ready. Otherwise everything was very clean and lovely.
- Shane (10/5): - Very quiet and very clean easy to find
- Ramadhan (9/5): - The venue is great, close to everything, wow! There was no paper towel in the house.
- Shreya (1/5): - Just the location While the description mentioned a ground floor, the photos and listing headline indicated “entire house to yourself” and showed the full house, which was misleading and did not reflect the actual setup. The presence of 2 exit signs inside the basement further reinforced that this was not a standard private home stay.
The property did not meet cleanliness standards—there was a strong odor, unclean bed sheets, no pillow covers in one of the room, and one guest developed facial allergies.
Several advertised or expected amenities were inadequate or non-functional: no heaters in the bedrooms (only one in the living area) despite 4–5°C night temperatures, poor water pressure in the showers, weak Wi-Fi, and an old, non-working washing machine. Footstep noises from upstairs occupants was constant and disruptive.
Overall, this stay fell short of booking.com standards for listing accuracy, cleanliness, comfort, and essential amenities. We would not recommend it at all.
- Mike (9/5): -
- Logan (7/5): - The price and location was amazing. Very strong bleach smell
- Kaden (10/5): -
- samir (8/5): Excellent news - All good The only thing that if they put enough stuff like garbeg bag, tissue box.. otherwise all good
- Steven (5/5): Good location, shame our sleep was disrupted. - Location , good space, off street parking Noise throughout the night from running and shouting in the unit above us, on all 3 nights of our stay.
- Michelle (8/5): Everything you need wrapped up in a simple, rustic package. Location was the best. - Exceptional location and had everything we needed. Very comfy beds, neat and clean. Nice touches with biscuits in the kitchen and providing extras like hairdryer, towels etc. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were modern but the furniture was a bit unusual. A desk chair for a bedside table, mix and match sofas. It was comfortable and fine for what we needed but could be made really nice.
- Laura (9/5): -
- Trevor (6/5): Good location but noisy older house - Good location, recently renovated Noisy - squeaky floors above and others staying there made it hard to sleep
- Leonie Brown (9/5): - A very nice spacious place to stay.
Very nice hosts who organised a shower chair for my elderly mother. A comfortable stay
- banga (3/5): - Close to shops ect. Wasn't clean, was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash, no coffee or sugar sachets to make a hot drink. I had to clean heat pump filters because the smell was bad an it was thick of dust And I also had to clean up an make sure everything was clean for my children
- David (6/5): Good location 👌 - Excellent location and spacious. Noisy; we stayed in the bottom unit and, unfortunately, could hear upstairs tenants into the night.
- Darren (2/5): Bad - The location was great The bathrooms had mold growing on the walls in the corners, the showers were not clean, the washing machine was a coin operated washing machine, the whole place old and dated, outside was dangerous as no lighting for when coming home after dark, the hosts did not and still have not replied to a message sent on Saturday night when i asked if they could contact the guests above us who had been jumping off beds / couches since 9pm and at 12.30am i thought enough is enough. I call the host on the number provided (mobile and whatsapp) and then sent a text. Still no reply.
- Edwards (9/5): Good value for money - The location was great! 10 minute walk to most things, good size property, check in and parking was easy. Well priced. We were on the bottom floor and could hear alot of noise coming from upstairs. The wifi is very weak. I would suggest adding a booster. Mobile data was average also average in the area.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): Great - Great location, perfect for a large family, clean new facilities Nothing
- Yvonne (9/5): Hobart stay - Very spacious, clean, comfortable. Little bit noisy from upstairs residents, only walking about.
- Jane (7/5): Good -
- Henrietta (7/5): Comfortable and good location - Location was great..walking distance to Salamanca markets and dock Could of had wardrobes or hanging provision in all bedrooms..
- Natalie (9/5): Great place to stay, great location and fits 6 people easily - Convenient, size, proximity, 2 bathrooms, clean, beds were comfy Could hear upstairs occupants and pillows were thin and uncomfortable
- Morena (4/5): All the previous comments are 101% correct, specifically the footsteps noise from upstairs and poor internet connection - Very close to Salamanca market The footsteps noise upstairs, so annoying
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Patricia (6/5): Clean property and comfortable beds. - The location was very good. Very close to the city and easy to drive to all tourist destinations. As we were located down stairs all we could hear each night was stamping feet and people walking around all night. The property would be great if you weren’t located in the flat at the bottom of the driveway.
- Fiona (7/5): Fantastic location and OSP - Occupants in apartment above incredibly noisy
- Padam (8/5): Very good -
- Shaun (7/5): Good -
- Lynda (9/5): Superb -
- Judith (7/5): Good value for location and would be excellent for large group. - Location and free parking were the biggest draw cards. Terrible demolition happening next door. Noisy footsteps heard from apartment above. Little bathroom supplies.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Everything - well equipped with all you could need. Ideal location . Parking spot & wifi
Fantastic communication from Host Nothing
- Kim (3/5): Unit 3, 2A Heathfield Ave Hobart - Location. Unit was clean and beds were comfortable. Parking was difficult. First shower was barely a trickle. Every footstep from unit above could be heard downstairs. Very weird layout.
- Penny (8/5): Short walk to Salamanca Markets - Convenient location. Off street parking.Easy driving access to highways for day trips. Short walk to Salamanca markets.Comfortable set-up. The ceiling/floor above was thin so were able to hear those staying above us walking around and talking. Perhaps provide an extra garbage bag for longer stays.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - Fabulous location. Very comfortable and clean rooms and facilities providing a perfect home base for our stay in Hobart.
- Soi (1/5): very unhappy, felt like have been cheated - This apartment is spacious and reasonable clean. The only good thing for us is there are two toilets. They provided kitchen, washing machine and iron but we did not need these. The woman from management team saying she put bottle water, milk and juice in fridge, but we only found a box of juice with the straw opened. We also found leftover used shampoo from previous guests in the toilets. Information given was a bit misleading! Photo showing a big white house with 2 levels and in Accessibility. it said "Entire unit located on ground floor". However, in reality we were required to go down the driveway and the apartment was actually at the back of the building. We entered from a door which looked like a door of a store room. This apartment is actually on the basement level of the house, not ground floor. And it is facing a carport with graffiti. So, we could not open windows nor curtains. Location is close to Salamanca, but not close to eatery nor supermarkets. Wifi was very weak. People living upstairs stomped the floor everyday early in morning, that greatly affected the quality of our sleep. When we made this booking, not much reviews were there. We believed we had made a wrong decision!
- Melissa (7/5): Good -
- Brock (9/5): Superb - location to town, cleanliness, amenities
- Natalie (8/5): The flat was surprisingly nice for the price and excellent location - The location was excellent. The price very good considering location and time of year. It was noce having two bathrooms. the instructions for access and parking were very clear thankyou! better noise insulation from the flat above. The rennants werent noisy but you could hear them walking around. A little dark but not much to be done about that. These things didnt reallly detract from the experience
- Donna (7/5): Great city stay, perfect for the infamous Salamanca market. Spacious family accomodation. - Location was great, facilities great. Comfy beds with plenty space in the rooms. Communication and instructions for locked box system was great. Bottom apartment is in the rear car park and has no outlook but does give easy access to your vehicle. It can be slightly noisy when families are above you on the wooden floors.
- Sunil (7/5): Stay was good. - Good.
- Siben (8/5): Very good - Great Location, easy to get around Hobart Slow internet connection and no shower soap and no recycle biin
- Pooja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellen (8/5): Great for a family with all the space and facilities you need, right in the heart of Hobart! - Lots of room, clean, excellent location. Good kitchen facilities. Parking a bit squeezy (but I wasn’t driving and my husband has mad skills) upstairs a bit thumpy (says the light sleepers in my family)
- Kayla (7/5): good - two bathrooms, good kitchen, good location, comfy beds, was handy having washing machine and dryer. the house up the top I assume was rented out aswell and it disturbed us, could hear banging of feet late at night/
early morning.
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Amazing location and comfortable stay - Amazing location - within walking distance to most things in town. The car parking is helpful but may be a little tight for a big car. A lovely place that was clean and comfortable. Our toddler locked one of the bedroom doors and they had sorted it out for us so promptly and kindly. Definitely recommend. The structure of the house is such that the noise from the upstairs occupants carry through a lot... and they were heavy-footed neighbours but literally only complaint - which obviously is not the fault of the place.
- Palanisamy (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, spacious facilities. Great communication from the staff. Free parking. Location location location.
- Debra (8/5): Very good -
- Serena (8/5): Perfect for a family. - The place was lovely and would be the perfect stay for a family. It was only my husband and I so there 2 free rooms. The car space out the back is tiny and my Land Cruiser was a tight squeeze.
- Neofytos (10/5): Exceptional -
