• Petra (10/5): Úžasný výhled a poblíž ta nejkrásnější pláž - Ubytování má ten nejkrásnější výhled z balkonu na světě. Úžasné západy slunce. V blízkosti pláž Filikuri, ta nejkrásnější pláž v okolí. Paní majitelka je velmi pracovitá žena. Vždy poradí. Udržuje celou krásnou zahradu a denně uklízí pokoje i koupelny. Všude je krásně čisto. Postel pohodlná. Posezení na balkoně velice příjemné. Možnost si uvařit. Vše v pořádku. Hodila by se varná konvice.

• Yaelle (10/5): Un cadre idéal ! - Séjour parfait . Propreté de la chambre , nettoyée à chaque fois que quelqu’un part . Serviette disponible Couple qui ne parle pas parfaitement anglais mais sait se faire comprendre Vue incroyable sur le coucher de soleil et la plage à 2 pas ! Parfait pour se déconnecter . La maison est très belle Facilite pour se garer gratuitement

And of course the view from the terrace is magnificent😍 A bit of a walk to get to shops/ restaurants that were open but that was because it wasn’t peak season

Man möchte im Urlaub entspannen und nicht dann noch eine neue Unterkunft suchen müssen - Habe es vorher gebucht, vor Ort war keiner da, habe zwei Stunden da gewartet, niemand telefonisch erreichbar und auch auf meine Nachrichten hat niemand bis heute (1 Woche später) geantwortet. Sehr schade, die Bewertungen waren sehr vielversprechend

• Gretel (5/5): The view is nice. Otherwise a bit mediocre. - The view is lovely, but the place is quite distant from the center. The bed was comfortable but the pillow was hard and lumpy. The breakfast for €4 was nice. The setting is very tranquil on a small farm with sheep, a garden, and some lovely cats. It is very close to Filikuri beach, but the hike down to the beach is a bit dangerous unless you are young and somewhat skilled at climbing. The old grandma who runs the place is a bit moody and she barges into the room without knocking. She is also constantly yelling, which makes it difficult to relax at times. It can ruin the otherwise tranquil setting. The cats are underfed, which is very sad to see as they are one of the best parts of the hostel. Also, the kitchen is in the dorm room and is not very clean or well equipped. The bathroom was okay but there is a terrible sewage smell from the sink which permeates through the entire dorm. The hot water only works sometimes. Shared outdoor space is very small. Please bring food to share with the cats if you decide to stay here!
• Teresa (10/5): Total schön ! - Das Ambiente auf dem Berg ist wunderschön. Es gehört einer älteren Dame, die sich sehr um alle ihre Gäste kümmert. Wir fanden vorallem das Frühstück mit French Toast super lecker. Es wird jeden Tag geputzt und es gibt täglich frische Handtücher. Es gibt leider keinen Föhn.
• Israel (10/5): - Las vistas es impresionante, la playa, la ciudad y las montañas es una combinación perfecta. Lo amé. Está en una colina pero solo a 10 minutos desde la playa. Te cambian la toalla a diario. Además el desayuno muy completo y súper delicioso a solo 4€ Conocí a otros viajeros y hicimos un recorrido por la ciudad y por las montañas. Una experiencia increíble y unas playas turquesas😍😍😍 La cocina es muy pequeña y no estaba bien mantenida. Pero lo demás todos súper bien .👌

• Neta (10/5): - בעלת המקום טיפוס מעניין, מן מאמא שדואגת להכל. המקום עצמו יפהפה עם נוף מהמם וחצר עם עצי פרי וירקות טריים שבעלת המקום משתמשת בהם להכין ארוחת בוקר לאורחים. לא נורא אבל המקלחת ממש משפריצה ובכל פעם שמתקלחים החדר מוצף. בנוסף המיטה שלי היתה ממש ליד החלון אז אם מישהו עישן מחוץ לחלון איכשהו הריח של הסיגריות נכנס

• Katelyn (8/5): - Great view of Himare. Clean bathrooms and seperate bathrooms for each dorm room. Not a lot of social common areas that are shaded. Gets crowded if the rooms are all full. Very basic kitchen facilities.
• Erdoğan Kerem (7/5): Merkezde olan alternatiflere yönelin. - Filikuri Plajına yakın olması. konum güzel gibi gözüküyor ama aslında değil. her gün yemek yemek veya market için bi yere gitmek isterseniz 30 dakika yürüyorsunuz. 10 dakika boyunca da inanılmaz dik bir yokuş çıkması da cabası. orta kötü bir banyo , gram konforlu değil. teyzenin de çok oldschool bi sistemi var, defterle iş yapıyor.Ve arada size ne zaman çıkıyorsun, sen iki gece kalmıyor muydun diye sorular sorabiliyor.
• Kuhn (10/5): Schönster Ausblick über das Meer und Himare! - Die Besitzerin ist super herzlich und freundlich! Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Der Weg hoch zum Hostel ist sehr steil aber es lohnt sich!

• Brown (10/5): - I travelled for three months staying in hostels and this was probably my favourite. Kind of feels less like a usual hostel and more like Grandma's house. The view is stunning and you can sit in comfy chairs watching the sunset on the edge of Himara. It's on the better side of town and as long as you're willing to take the sweaty hike up the hill with your belongings, it's worth while for proximity to Filikuri Beach.

• Lina (7/5): Ok - The attention of the lady in charge was good, she was very gentle and even offered to take us to the bus station the last day of our stay. At the beginning, she may seem rude, but she's not. It is just the way she speaks. The view from the hostel is very nice. The beds were comfortable. The location up in the hill is challenging. The bathroom was not always clean but also because other guests didn't leave the bathroom in good conditions after use. We felt, in some way that saying that hostel is by filikuri Beach is not that true as the way to arrive to filikuri Beach could be dangerous and the end we decided not to go (we liked the idea to meet that beach when we booked but it wasn't clear in the description).

• Monika (5/5): - Views The hostel has great views, but other than that it’s terrible. It’s up the hill, so every day you need to hike (it’s steep). Then the welcoming lady is rude, last night she stormed in to the room and was claiming I didn’t pay, but I did. There is no privacy.. also the there is a terrace outside rooms, and when people gather there it’s super loud, impossible to sleep until 2am

• Alice (8/5): - Vue et cadre magnifiques ! La montée donne chaud mais vaut le coup ! Lits confortables, espaces communs propres A 5-10min des plages mais 30min du centre ville. Ambiance calme Comme le mentionnent plusieurs commentaires, la gérante gère les arrivées au fur et à mesure et peu importe ce que vous avez réservé, vous pouvez finir dans une chambre de 12 (vs 6 pour ma part) donc décevant. Elle a pu me mettre dans une chambre de 6 la deuxième nuit. La gérante est parfois agressive mais ça a l’air d’être juste sa façon de s’exprimer donc une fois qu’on le sait, il ne faut pas le prendre personnellement

Ausserdem ist ein wunderschöner Strand sehr nah gelegen Abgesehen von dem einen Strand, etwas abseits gelegen. Mit dem Auto war es sehr praktisch, aber falls man ohne unterwegs ist muss man erstmal einen steilen Berg hochlaufen.

• Jovan (6/5): - Great sunset view and nice to stay on a property with agricultural connections. Clean facilities. Rooms were more cramped than the photos let on. The staff had little grasp of English, which caused a lot of frustration for both parties and did not foster a welcoming environment.

When we asked the host about this she didn’t seem to care and said the 6 bed is full so it’s here or nothing. Our bathroom also flooded.

• Lucia Ivana (6/5): - La descripción del lugar y al momento de elegir habitación en booking, dice que la habitación cuenta con baño privado y una pequeña cocina sin embargo al llegar la dueña me dio cama en una habitación simple. El baño y la cocina que debia usar es la misma que usaba la familia propietaria del lugar. La dueña no habla ingles por lo que me resulto imposible hacerle entender que lo que me estaba dando NO era lo que yo habia reservado.

• Shaun Jakeman (9/5): Absolutely fantastic - Excellent hostel, the lady who runs it (unfortunately forgot her name) is down to earth, and works extremely hard keeping up with the hostel. Extremely clean facilities, 5 minute walk from the nearest beach. Highly recommend. The walk up to the hostel can be a challenge, especially if you have heavy luggage, excluding that, was an absolutely pleasant stay.

Ils proposent un petit déjeuner typique albanais avec des produits de la ferme, un café turc très bon. La salle de bain est très rustique. Ça mériterait de sérieux travaux.

Mówi kilka podstawowych słów po angielsku, ale bez problemu idzie się dogadać - jest bardzo konkretna lecz serdeczna- uśmiechnij się do niej, a ona obdarzy Cię usmiechem - klimat hostelu- dookoła ogród, winogrona, warzywa, barany, króliki- jest bardzo swojsko - w mojej opinii najlepszy i najbardziej Albanski hotel -

• Sarah (8/5): Difficile check in mais vue splendide - La vue est juste incroyable.... les gens que j'ai rencontré étaient fabuleux. Merci pour ça. L'entretien du jardin par le couple. On voit qu'ils aiment leur lieu de vie. L'eau dans la salle de bain, les cheveux par terre, les traces de pas. Il serait chouette d'avoir une serpillière pour responsabiliser tout le monde. Dès le départ la dame voulait me faire payer le double (60 au lieu de 30) en cash et m'avait dit que la chambre que j'ai réservé était full. Elle voulait me mettre dans une chambre avec un homme seulement que je n'avais jamais vue. J'ai refusé et finalement elle m'a trouvé un lit (donc ce n'était plus full)... La montée à pied est rude surtout avec les bagages. Si vous prenez le bus, vous en avez pour 35 min et la côte à la fin est franchement fatiguante surtout après avoir voyagé. Le soir il n'y a aucun éclairage donc attendez-vous à vous faire gentiment surprendre par des chauves-souris !

• stefano (8/5): - La vista dall'ostello è spettacolare, Yaya la signora con cui ci si interfaccia parla un inglese essenziale ma è di cuore e meravigliosa (anche se un po' rude a volte). Il mare lì vicino è bellissimo. La doccia non funzionava (o scottava o era gelata), la cucina comune era direttamente in camera con un livello di sicurezza e rumorosità opinabili, per arrivare lì dalla stazione degli autobus fatevi coraggio perché ci vuole mezz'ora sotto il sole e gli ultimi 500 metri sono in salita, abbastanza tesa.

• Amber (10/5): Stunning location! - The hostel is wonderful. It's a beautiful house on a hill, with grape vines lining the path up to it. The owners are really lovely. Jennifer will go out of her way to help you. Those who think she's rude are wrong. Albanian is an aggressive sounding language, and her English isn't brilliant, so she finds other ways to make herself understood. She really is so nice. The view is spectacular. Don't get me wrong, if you're walking up that hill with all your bags in the afternoon sun, you will regret all of your life choices. But once you reach the top - wow! It's as far away from the main strip as it could be, which is nice so you get a bit of exercise.
• dolores (9/5): - El lugar es hermoso. Estas en la cima de la montaña con una vista increíble. Tenes bajada a la playa Filikuri usando unas sogas, medio trekking. Se mueve muchísima gente por lo que logras conocer viajeros de todas partes del mundo. Es un lugar tranquilo y alejado del centro, buenisimo para relajar. Si estas sin auto, tenes que saber que vas a caminar subidas todos los dias. Los dueños son un amor, son gente de campo, es verdad que Yenifer es gritona pero no desde un lugar negativo sino que es su forma de ser. Es complejo llegar desde cualquier parte de Albania porque no hay buen transporte publico. Riviera tours es lo mas claro que podes encontrar como bus para ir desde las ciudades principales hasta alli, ida y vuelta. El hostel es un poco caotico y no tiene muchas comodidades basicas.

• María (3/5): Experiencia regulera - Bonitas vistas, 2 playas cerca y café gratis por la mañana. Hicimos una reserva para 6 personas y le preguntamos previamente si dormiríamos juntos ya que las habitaciones eran de 6, nos dijo que si, y cuando llegamos nos separó en 3 habitaciones distintas dejando a uno de nosotros solo cuando en su habitación había huecos libres. Lo peor fue que nos engañaron y que cuando intentamos explicarle la situación la mujer fue desagradable y no atendió a razones. Además, las instalaciones dejaban mucho que desear: la ducha de una de las habitaciones estaba rota, las habitaciones eran de 7 pese a que en Booking dice que son de 6, había menos taquillas que camas, las toallas estaban rotas y el pestillo del baño estaba roto también. Si tan solo nos hubiera pedido disculpas…

• jessvinder singh (9/5): Week stay - Great view of the sunset from the common area, the room was also very comfy. While we stayed there it was relatively quiet but also nice to socialise with other people staying there, not a party hostel by any means so it's also a good place to just unwind. The trek up isn't too bad but it's not the closest place from where the bus dropped us - so it is a bit of a walk. It does get super dark at night, but stargazing makes up for it ^^ Although the common area was nice, it is very small so there's not much space to go about around the hostel. Not sure of the other rooms, but in the room we stayed, the top bunks don't have power outlets so keep a powerbank charged and handy :)
• Lopez (9/5): Gran estadia, los dueños muy buenas personas, Jeniffer te recibe muy bien y trabaja mucho para mantener el lugar en buen - Hermoso lugar, con una gran vista y nos recibieron muy bien, muy amables los dueños. Habiamos reservado una habitacion de 6 camas, privada, y al llegar no estaba disponible y nos dieron la opcion de compartir una de 12 camas con otros huéspedes. Todo bien pero no es lo que habiamos reservado.

• Diana (10/5): Gorgeous view in a safe secluded place where people staying there treats you like family. - The breakfast was really good and the price even better. What I loved the most was the view and the people staying there. The host was very nice too and even gave me a ride to the bus stop. Filikuri beach was a fun experience but be careful coming down because a girl died recently trying to go down to the beach. Nothing. Even the hike up to the hostel was enjoyable.

• Moyles (10/5): Peaceful place with stunning views. - The view was phenomenal, yes it’s a hike up a hill to get there, but it was 100% worth it. The place is still close to town for dinner and to go to the main beach. The host provides brekkie for 4€, absolutely delicious food that seems to have home grown veg (we assumed this because they have their own farm).

• ValdrinaS (10/5): Exceptional Hospitality and Comfort by the Sea! - Absolutely loved my stay at this hostel! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was being welcomed into someone's home rather than just checking into a place to sleep. The hosts are truly wonderful—warm, kind, and always happy to help. Their hospitality made the entire atmosphere feel incredibly inviting and relaxed. The facilities were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I especially appreciated getting a fresh towel every day and clean sheets on a regular basis. Those small touches made a big difference and showed how much care goes into running the place. The rooms and common areas were well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged, creating a cozy and peaceful environment. The price is more than reasonable for everything that’s included. Honestly, I’ve stayed in far more expensive places that offered half the comfort and none of the warmth. The optional breakfast is also a great choice, delicious, filling, and a lovely way to start the day. Another major plus: the public sea is just a short walk away, making it super convenient to enjoy a swim or relax by the water whenever you like. But what truly sets this hostel apart is the way the hosts make you feel. They treat every guest like they’re a special part of the family, and that kind of genuine care is rare to find. I left feeling rested, cared for, and full of good memories. I can’t recommend this place enough! N/A

• Thuy-Linh (9/5): Good hostel for a short stay with amazing views - Cozy and nice hostel with an amazing with. The dorms had its own kitchen and bathroom. It was spacious and clean. You get a towel and there are big lockers for your stuff. The owner is an old lady who was really nice. The communication is quite difficult in English but at one point it worked out. I had to take the bus at 5:30 am to Tirana. She was so kind to drive me there. As the name already indicates the hostel sits on the hill. The views were amazing and it was worth it for my short stay but the pretty steep walk wasn’t for me especially with luggage and during the hot days. I was always lucky that at some point someone gave me a ride as they saw me walking up. I also hired a scooter and driving up and down that hill is quite tricky/dangerous. The „bus station“ is at least a 30min walk from to the hostel and not 10-15min as the owners says in the messages.

• Peters (10/5): Schone en vriendelijke hostel met fantastisch uitzicht. - De locatie op de berg met een fantastisch uitzicht over de baai en het stadje Himare zijn fantastisch. Hostel on the Hill heeft een heerlijke gezamenlijke louncheplek om met andere gasten bij te kletsen en van het uitzicht te genieten. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk. En ze werken hard, zijn naar eigen zeggen boven de 70 en ik zag ze in de avond om 21.30 en de volgende ochtend al weer voor 7.30. Ze boden me meteen een gratis kop koffie aan. Hostel kamer was schoon, eigen badkamer per dorm. Binnen 4 minuten lopen ben je ook al weer bij de eerste restaurantjes van het stadje. jKortom fantastisch. De drie andere gasten op mijn kamer sliepen heerlijk op hun bed. Ik heb de slechte eigenschap een buikslaper te zijn, voor mij was matras iets te zacht.
