Guest Reviews

- Elisa Magdalena (8/5): Best location in Venice, a bit off the tourist tracks but very in walking distance to San Marco and Biennale. Very good - Excellent Location and friendly staff Compared to our stay last year, the apartment was a little less clean.
- Felipe (10/5): Departamento bien ubicado, cómodo y limpio - Ubicación, amplitud y limpieza Lavadora muy antigua
- Andjelija (1/5): A disgrace, start to finish, all thanks to a nightmare of a host who laughs in your gaće when you are most frustrated an - Castello and Bienale should not be asdociated with this host or this property. What a shame to have horrible unkind and unreasonable hosts reaping rewards of a fantastic location and a brilliant exhibition they apsolutely have nothing nothing and nothing in common with. You might as well be in nowhere land suburbia in Home Art Bienale. What a JOKE! Everything and worse than that.
- Andjelija (1/5): Awful - Nothing at all Awfully unkind host.
- Davor (4/5): Disappointing - The location is very good for visiting the Biennale. Not as comfortable as it looks on the photos, the rooms are small. The apartment needs renovation. The host is not easy to reach. We were waiting for extra towels for three days. We never got the confirmation/receipt that the city tax is paid, eventhough we transfered the money for this in advance.
- Anina (7/5): Good -
- Lukas (9/5): Superb location - The apartment is in superb location. Short walk from the city centre, yet in a much quieter part of Venice. Plenty of good dining options, supermarket and two water taxi stops are very close. The apartment itself was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Check-in instructions were a bit messy so it required some communication with the host, but they were very responsive and issues quickly resolved.
- Mariela (8/5): Very good -
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - The location at the Biennale was superb. The main street to which the apartment is connected, on via Garibaldi, is a lovely area of Venice. It is very close to the main tourist drag at St Marks but far enough away to have a more local.vibe. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets very close by.
The apartment is very comfortable for 4 people. Only one bathroom but it is quite spacious.
The kitchen generously had pantry items for us to use . It is on the 2nd floor with no lift so you need to be able to carry luggage up steep narrow stairs.
The address listed on Booking.com is incorrect so make sure you confirm the address with the person who checks you in. We met Andrea and he was very helpful.
- Hannah (9/5): Lovely apartment in a great location and easy to get around Venice from - The location was fantastic, it was easy to get to with some great bars and restaurants very close by, yet it was still quiet. The host was so helpful, I’d definitely stay again.
- James (9/5): Superb - Good location. Away from the tourists, but still close enough to the centre. Good shops and a park nearby.
- Roberto (9/5): Venice with family - Having booked an apartment near Rialto, we arrived at the address and, having called the host on his cell phone, we were informed that the house was in another address in Riva degli Schiavoni, half an hour's walk away. Nice house, still large for four people, but unfortunately not clean with confetti still on the ground and full dirty bag and not clean bathroom. Cleaning resolved the following day after our call. Not even a greeting of hospitality, water, drinks or coffee, a small but welcome gesture that perhaps would have overshadowed the negligence in a large house in a nice location, nice bathroom, on the second floor without a lift with restaurants and supermarkets under the house, in a splendid city. Too bad the hospitality could be much improved.
