- Karen (7/5): - Problem with boiler and didn't have hot water. When reported, it took a few hours to get a response. The wc stunk of sewage and made the whole room stink.
- Alfredo (9/5): Great stay! Beatiful and modern property. - This place was incredible! Huge suite with all the amenties you can ask for. Great service and amicable staff too. We didnt want to leave the room! Modern and comfortable. Excellent location too. When the property offers you help with your luggage...TAKE IT! There are many steps to climb in the city...so train your legs a bit before going. Add a couple of suitcases and you will feel you are a contestant in American Ninja.

- Steven (5/5): Fancy Looking - Poor function. Great location - The property was very nice to look at when entering. The bed was very comfortable and the TV was excellent with good features English channels and great for streaming. The internet was also very good. After the initial wow factor of the decor the room quickly showed how poorly it was planned. It was all about looks and terrible in practice. Every time you had a shower the whole bathroom was soaked and impossible to avoid. The shower was in the wrong spot. The place to hang your towel was behind a tree and could not be accessed from inside the bathroom, so more water in the living space. The inside of the toilet door had a full length mirror, seriously who wants to watch themselves on the toilet? The tea and coffee machine was too high for a person 5’7” to see.

- Jen (1/5): - The location was great. I came and there were a ton of dead flies on the windowsill, bed and bathtub and also live ones flying around. They came to clean up the dead ones but the flies continued throughout my stay. I also arrived to spiders in the corners of the toilet closet. What was even more vile was that there is a musty sewage smell that is being covered up by a very strong air freshener. The smell is throughout the room but especially bad in the toilet room. I had to keep the door to the toilet closed and I felt ill from the smell. I was looking for a place to relax when I came back from exploring all day instead I really didn’t want to spend any time in the room because of the smell. It was very strong. I think it is toxic to stay in this room. I was only there for a few nights but I highly thought about leaving and finding a different place. I was very disappointed. They should not be listing this room. And this room is definitely not luxurious, there is nothing luxurious about a sewage smell and flies. I typically don’t like to leave bad reviews but I chose this place because there are a lot of good reviews, please take note of the reviews mentioning the sewage smell, it is no joke.

They communicated very well with us before we got there. Beware that there are lots of stairs to get there, but that is everything in old town Dubrovnik.

- Scott (9/5): Wonderful Apartment - The apartment reminded me of a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel room. Very nicely appointed with lighting fixtures, wood floors, glassware, a small refrigerator, big shower and bathtub. Very comfortable and lovely views. The appartement is close to 2 gates to walk in and out of the Old Town. Close to the main gate where you get dropped off when you arrive from the airport. Anything on either side of the Old Town (north or south) will have lots of stairs. The apartment can't help its location, just know you will walk a lot to get to the apartment each time so just keep that in mind.

The location in the old town is really convenient, and the street is fairly quiet. Just be aware that you shouldn't be afraid of stairs. - Kati (10/5): Beautiful, modern apartment in the Old City. - Beautiful, modern apartment in the heart of the Old City. (It’s really nice.) Yes there are stairs, but it’s pretty close to the Buza Gate and it is less stairs than most. Having a designated check in location is convenient and their communication was easy through WhatsApp. I made multiple trips to the apartment between exploring the Old City to escape the heat.

- Sarah (9/5): Luxurious room - This was a great apartment style room, very comfortable, spacious and well laid out. Despite being located with the old town (Stari Grad) and within a very short walk to most restaurants and other tourist destinations, this was very quiet and felt quite safe. In case you needed any assistance, there is a reception/office located approximately 2 mins away which was great for us needing luggage storage for the afternoon. Just a note in case you have accessibility issues or plan to travel with a large bag - there are a large number of stairs to get to this apartment. I have not let this impact on my score as this is within the hotel notes before booking so should not be a surprise to anyone. I recommend getting the self sign-in app and coming in from the Buza Gate and walking west along Peline Ulica. This will have a lot less steps than Pile Gate.

Debemos saber todos que Dubrovnik es ciudad antigua por lo que siempre tenemos que subir escaleras , sin embargo fue excelente ya que la ubicacion tenia igual su lado silencioso por las mañanas y noches . La calidad de la cama lo adoramos ya que descansas fantastico.

- Simrun (8/5): Lovely and comy room - lots of steps! - The loft room is absolutely gorgeous and has lovely modern amenities including coffee, tea, water, slippers, flip flops, shower essentials, toothbrushes, hair brushes etc. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the water (in bath, shower and sink) got quite hot. Being in the loft, the room can get quite warm but the windows open and the air con is good quality. The room has modern appliances (bose sound bar, smart tv, smart blind/window, fire place) and a shower as well as bath. Please note, the shower is directly opposite the bed as is the bath and both are viewable so, unless you're with a partner it might not be the room for you. The shower also has a window (with curtains) that if open, the neighbours would be able to see you. The shower, toilet and bath were good quality. Staff were attentive when messaged/you had queries and, kept our luggage for us on the day we checked out. The main reception also has a shower room and if you passed by and asked for water, they'd give it which is lovely. The apartment has a restaurant almost next door which is fairly busy but, the noise isn't really bothersome. The fridge fits a lot of bottles of water. The apartment is right at the top of Old Town so, you do need to walk a lot of steep stairs to get there. From the reception collection point, it is all uphill so we would often walk on the outside of Old Town, through the back (as if you're walking to club revlin) and through the gate entrance ont he side as it's a hill rather than stairs. You will then need to do some uphill stairs but, this isn't as bad as going up all the stairs and then will need to climb more steps in the apartment to reach the loft... The staff can help with bags though. Our key card didn't work so, we had to wait for someone to bring a manual key. There definitely is a sewage type smell in the apartment/hall way which from reading other reviews I had asked about and was told it was sorted. It wasn't terrible but, definitely present and worse on some days than others. The room isn't serviced (we stayed 5 nights) but, if you ask for more towels, toilet rolls etc they do bring these to you. It would have been nice to have the room cleaned during the stay as, it isn't really an apartment (no cooking facilities) and felt more like a hotel room. We had to contact the reception team twice as, we had lots of ants in our room. On both occasions they sprayed the floor with ant killer and left ant powder visible (around our bed and by the bin) which isn't necessarily safe. There were no signs that the floor had been mopped. There seems to be building work going on next door so, we were woken up by banging most early mornings which isn't great. The room is also noted as soundproof but, I could hear our neighbours so not sure how true this is.
- Ash (10/5): Best place in Dubrovnik! - Such a beautiful hotel in central old town! The room was immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. We slept like babies. The staff is beyond friendly and very helpful. We also used the transport service to get to and from Dubrovnik Airport and arranging that with the staff was very easy. We wish we stayed here more than one night. We'll definitely be back in the future. Nothing, everything was perfect!

There was everything that you would need with a few luxuries thrown in for comfort, such as fruit bowl handy shampoo conditioner and shower gels. The room wasn't serviced on my 4 day stay, which was a minor issue. There were limited facilities for cleaning it and a limited towel rails.. i would empty my bin in the public bins in the town. It didn't pose any problems for me however, I loved the luxury and comforts of the room. There are a lot of steps to get to it.. however you can always use the buza gate entrance which is easier so you can go in from the top. I'll definitely stay here again.. it is a beautiful and comfortable room. Great for spending time in the old town.

The host was incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating. It was a terrific stay. There was a funky smell coming from the bathroom. They brought us some air freshening spray but I hope they can find a permanent solution for future guests.

- David (1/5): Bad - Room looked like nice Horrible sewage smell. I then found out that other people had experienced it. They put deodorant to cover it so I thought it was resolved but it wasn't. Do not book that room. The issue is a very serious plumbing issue and they most likely should break the tiles and change the pipes or waste system. Having tried to speak to them, they clearly are no ready to resolve this properly and prefer to let their guests stay in that small so they don't miss out on the summer bookings. It's too bad as otherwise it's a nice design, if you don't mind the open shower in the bedroom.

The only thing to really watch out for is the trek up many flights of stone steps to get to the hotel reception and then the room itself, they are not at the same location. Something to watch out for with a roller bag.

- Mirza (4/5): Facilities look good but disappointed with the staff and their handling of the issue they created - The room was clean and very modern. You receive extra towels which is always helpful. The location is great and close to everything inside Old Town. There's a strange smell inside the hall which leads to the rooms, like a sewage, but the smell didn't continue in the room. Except for the toilet which we had to keep the doors closed off because of the smell. We have driven to the property for 8 hours, and because we have set off early in the morning, I have specifically requested the check in time to be earlier since we only stayed there for a day, and the early check in was confirmed. The usual check-in is at 3PM but we've requested for it to be between 10-11am. When we arrived, they claimed they haven't confirmed anything on their behalf and were really rude while I tried to explain that I have received the confirmation. My partner was sick from the trip and we really needed that room to rest and freshen up, but it wasn't ready until 3PM. After checking in at 3PM, they confirmed it was actually them who confirmed the request for an early check in, it was just not communicated correctly between them. Therefore we lost half of the stay in the apartment itself because of the miscommunication on their behalf.

- Brian (2/5): - La Vita was not so Bella for us. They failed to give us a working key card. After dinner when we climbed to our room (about 200 steps up hill) at 11pm after a very long day we were locked out and their reception (200 steps down the hill) was closed. No night desk. Nothing. Luckily a guy at the neighboring bar (who’s not affiliated with the hotel) helped us. After over an hour of texting with a staffer on holiday vacation and downloading apps we got into in our room after midnight. Tiring, frustrating, inconvenient, and unprofessional to say the least. When we explained to the owner, he didn’t seem to care at all. Zero compassion. He actually offered us an unusable compensation to mess with us I think. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Yes it is cute. And a good price. But the management don’t seem to care about their guests.

- Juweriya (8/5): Located in old town but too many stairs to get to the property - We really liked the extra toiletries given and the cleanliness. The shower was very good and we really loved that they provided extra towels Due to the amount of stairs leading to this property it would not be suitable for older people or those with a physical disability. The stairs are very steep as the property is on a hill. We didn’t like that there was building work going on in a nearby apartment and so it was very loud and would start early in the morning We didn’t like that the toilet was separate to the shower and sink. And the toilet has a very strong sewage like odour that doesn’t go away. I think it was coming from the ventilator. The mattress wasn’t comfortable, it gave us back ache.
