- Reese (7/5): -
- Nicole (1/5): I would never book this stay ever again. Worst night ever it really spoilt our weekend away. - The location was the only thing that was good about this property We couldn't open the door, no help from the hosts, the room was still dirty, washing in dryer, someone else toiletries in cupboard, toilet paper shoved into the smoke alarms. 2 days later the owner accused us of property damage , excessive noise and urination in the fire extinguisher. Threatening police and legal action to $900 . When in fact it was the guest from the night before and not even us. No apology
- Rowena (5/5): Wouldn’t come again - View was amazing Thought there would of been some tea, coffee, sugar and milk as everywhere I’ve ever stayed has provided them. There were 4 of us and only 2 coffee cups. Didn’t get notified to pick the keys up till 2.25pm when check in was 2pm. Booking said parking was $50 but it cost $60
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Sandy (2/5): Very disappointing compared to a previous stay. The apartment was not the one I booked via website. - The apartment I booked had 2 bathrooms, but the one allocated to me only had 1 bathroom. This was very inconvenient as there were four adults staying. The TV did not work and there were no tea/coffee provided for guests.
- Phil (8/5): Very good -
- Toma (5/5): Passable - Location was great No soap. No milk. No coffee. No tea . No cups, No top sheet on the bed . No tea spoons . Just not up to expectations for the price! Thanks Geoff
- Michael (1/5): I left as soon as I walked in - Nothing It was on the 53rd floor and we are in the middle of a cyclone in qld
- Janelle (9/5): Better than expected - Cleanliness, comfortable, location. Only 1 key
- Natalie (3/5): Would not stay again - Location good Room was not ready, no sheets on main bed, washing left in washing machine and dryer, not clean. Mould in shower, one set of keys, no washing or cleaning products, list goes on
- Wensley (5/5): Passable - Comfortable and close to where we needed to go. Generally clean Washing (wet) was left in washing machine and sink in bathroom was dirty (around the plug area)
Trying to navigate to car parking and then room was a bit of an issue and as we were a family but only given 1 key card was a bit of a pain
- Joshua (4/5): False advertising on hotel features - Location I booked a room at the casino 4 weeks in advanced through bookings.com.app and wanted a 2 bedroom as I was staying with a mate. At no time was this advertised as a private residence. On the day I arrived, I received an email saying I needed to go to the 7/11 across the road to pick up the keys. I thought this was very strange and sounded dodgy but they had already charged me for the room so what could I do. They also sent me a link with the parking details. it said $20/flat rate parking for all The Star Residency guests. I was hoping parking would be free considering the amount i paid for the room but no. So we followed the instructions and parked where it said. The next morning I tried to call the number about how we validate our parking but there was no answer, i texted the number asking for assistance and received no response. So we called the Star and they said go to Recption on level 1 and they would validate your ticket. We went down to reception, lined up for 20mins only to be told they wouldn't vailidate my ticket as it was a private residence. i stated I had no idea about this and just booked a room with 2 bedrooms at the star through
bookings.com. The lady at reception Vivian was not interested to assist me in any way and just refused to assist. Therefore i was forced to pay $60 for parking on top of my hotel. Considering the money generated on the gaming floor I find it very poor that the star don't offer free parking for hotel guests. I also find it very poor that bookings.com allow this room to be advertised as a room at the Star without stating it is not through the hotel and that it doesn't contain all the features.
The room was ok nice enough however the 2nd bedroom was more of a study nook than a bedroom with no window and nowhere to hang clothes, just 2 single roll away beds.
I will not be booking any rooms at tge Star ever again although arguably this is more on Bookings.con.
- Alejandra (1/5): Bad - Dirty cheap linen! I had to wash everything myself as it was foul. The dryer and washing machine were full. Dust everywhere. The bathroom smelt like mold. No dishwashing liquid or tablets. Towels dirty with musty damp smell.
- Susan (8/5): Very good - The views were amazing The car parking availability wasn't clear and only due to having staying at this complex previously was I able to locate premises.
- Patricia (9/5): Superb -
- Koch (7/5): Good -
- Jessica (5/5): Passable - Amazing views, good location, hotel has great facilities. Finding drug paraphernalia in the bottom drawer of the kitchen, a used condom and dust under the bed, a full load of washing in the dryer.
- Reshell (9/5): Superb -
- Tahnee (10/5): Room & location was great! my only fault was one of the bathroom doors had screws sticking out & couldn’t close -
- Dan (9/5): Superb -
- Santina (1/5): Dirty, unsetviced room …. NOT HAPPY - DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
The room was DIRTY, only one bedroom had sheets and there was four of us staying. towels had make up on them… hair all over bathroom floor, found out that this must be privately owned !!!
what a waste of money and absolutely disgusting!!!! nothing
- Andrew (5/5): Passable -
- Rebecca (1/5): We left straight away - could not stay there. Very angry that we have not been fully refunded - The apartment was not clean - blood stain on the pillow case, pubic hairs in the bed and long hairs on the bed. Quite disgusting.
- Gabriel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandy (9/5): Superb -
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (4/5): Apart from the parking problems and not being able to speak to the host, it was a pleasant stay. - The apartment itself is great. Spacious and clean and lovely bathrooms. Furnishings are adequate although the 1 bedside lamp didn't work. Amazing view and the location was awesome. Firstly please be aware that this booking is a private booking and you are not a hotel guest. No check in at the hotel or any assistance.
Parking: when booking, the host had asked us if we wanted parking, to which we replied yes. But on entry our swipe card did not work and we had to use personal means to enter the car park. We had received a generic link on parking that showed a $20 nightly fee for hotel guests and also residents. But no information was provided on how to get this rate and no contact had been made by the host to the venue. So upon exit we paid $60 for parking. We tried to contact our host several times during the day but received sporadic unhelpful replies.
Upon arrival we found wet towels in the washing machine and clothes dryer. This was not what was expected with a high end booking. The lint filter in the dryer had not been cleared for a long time and the dryer had 7 or 8 towels in it that had not dried properly. We spent all day getting these towels dry before we could wash our own clothing.
No access to the outside pool as we were not hotel guests.
- Dean (5/5): Passable - Very dirty
- Sharna (10/5): Great facilities and price!!! -
- Jo-anne (10/5): great relaxing holiday .great pool and sauna / spa. - close to everything . easy to get around no ice trays
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (7/5): Good -
- Cathy (7/5): Good - Little confusing finding the Seven Eleven to pick up keys - as the driveway was not familiar. Clearer information on parking costs prior would also assist No Parking when we asked
- Chris (9/5): Relaxing time with friends - Great location with a fantastic view Bed linen was old and worn
- Mary-ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (6/5): Instructions for parking and then to accommodation confusing. - Location badly marked walls which could have been cleaned better. Dust bunnies under bed.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Carolyn (8/5): good value - the view was amazing, great location and nice and clean! only one key which is frustrating when you are sharing with a colleagues, family members etc
- Braiden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Boss (5/5): Not what I thought I'd booked. - The view from the room was lovely. The bed was comfortable. This property is privately owned within the Casino. Staff were not able to help us, and the pick up of keys, and location was very confusing and time-consuming.
Parking was also a very expensive extra cost that wasn't stated in the price.
- Charitha (5/5): Passable - Convenient location Parking was at a higher price as not had been booked through Star casino
There was no body wash in the second bathroom
There was no iron but gad only an ironing board
There was no utensil drying rack/ hand towels, tissue box, sponge to clean utensils , dishwasher cubes,
Informed about the iron immediately but heard back only in the day we were leaving
- Sebastian (6/5): 50//50 - Position was good and modern Need more utilities had to purchase a frypan, windows should be able to open. Only had 1 key and lift pass but we were 2 couples. Facilities to complex pool needed hand rail as i have bad knees and no sun there.
Difficulty in contacting support for any assistance.
- Rod (10/5): Exceptional - View and quality unit Cost of parking
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kia (10/5): Fabulous- value, location, amenities & communication. I will 100% return and happy to recommend highly. - Pretty much everything was catered for and supplied. Almost faultless. Suggest some milk for tea/coffee and better upfront advice about access to correct lifts from carpark.
- Lawrence (8/5): Very good -
- Annette (7/5): had a good time - apartment was lovely and comfortable the check in and out
as the elevators were crazy and taking so long to get up or down and obvious this time of year was crazy busy
- Gita (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ha (9/5): Beautiful room and building. Strongly recommend and will be back. - Beautiful apartment with inside out, from the view to the room. This building have everything on ground floor, such as restaurants, casino, shopping.... it's so confuse how to get in right carpark, then have to find the way to the lift to go up ground floor of casino, and walk long way to the lift can get to the room.
