• Deirdre (6/5): - Bed were comfy and clean,the amenities functional kitchen supplies ,liked the decent shower gel,& shampoo and conditioner. The cleanliness wasn't up to scratch floor dirty to walk on, didn't know it was next to a fire station noisey trying to sleep, ensuite bathroom fan done nothing not one in second bathroom.smelt musty walking in.cracked drink glass in the sink on arrival
• Leanne (7/5): We actually loved the place! - So easy to walk to everywhere we wanted to go Unfortunately there was a terrible smell coming from the laundry cupboard when opened. At times it could be smelled in the minor bathroom too. The coffee machine wasn’t working properly. The water was coming out inside the machine somehow so we turned off straight away.

• Roman and Milla (8/5): Great location and clean apartment - Location was great. The apartment was clean and had nice views. The bureaucracy was annoying to get to the apartment.There were too many texts from the owner.
• Douglas (1/5): I stayed for 30 minutes into a three day stay and when I realised I could not use my car left - Keys placed in a lock box at the back of a post box below waist height. Needed to bend down on my knees on the pavement with a light on my phone to see the numbers correctly. The statements from the organisers of the rental were detailed. However, the suggestions for parking were inadequate and ultimately unworkable. Secure parking opposite close at 7pm which means using a car or rental vehicle for evening engagements is impossible. The suggested apps of Oscar and Parking Hound were not a solution.

• Barry (6/5): - Very noisy ALL night - Very difficult lock box So many conditions in contract-better to stay in hotels get your room serviced daily - just arrive an leave without any effort.

• Paula (9/5): Would certainly recommend. - It was a fabulous location- easy walk to trains, trams and major attractions. It was on a busy street, occasionally could hear traffic. As we wanted to be close to everything and CBD, you have to expect this.

• Nina (8/5): Great apartment in a great location but busy fire station next door - Apartment was great with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Very comfortable and convenient location.. Main issue was vehicle traffic noise was so loud from the 10th floor plus the sirens and trucks from the fire station next door
• Rodney (4/5): Very difficult to access your locked key 🔑 - Great location Access - no reception or human contact - you needed to kneel on the concrete lobby floor adjacent to the front lobby security door and use a 3 drum combination lock to get access to another 4 number combination lock located even deeper in - good luck with that - needed to use my phone camera and phone light - took me at least 20 min - with people entering and exiting the entrance immediately next to me, a most undignified experience. So In my opinion, dont bother - book into a hotel and pay the extra instead. I'll never stay here again. Plus the lounge TV didn't work. Though the bedroom ones did. Also the coffee machine had wrong sized pods - fell straight thru and the apartment hadn't been properly cleaned in the lounge area - chip scraps on the floor ! And did I mention privacy - it's pretty much a fish bowl from adjacent office buildings - so just stick to weekend bookings if you must.

• Lisa (10/5): Beautiful apartment in an amazing location. - Where do I start? The location was amazing. The apartment was gorgeous and immaculate. Pictures of the property are accurate. As a family of four adults, we had plenty of space. Great views of the park with lovely sunrises. Not much. If I have to say something it would be that I wish I had asked for a second set of keys for our stay. But, we managed with one set.
• Lauri (1/5): Never again - Traffic, street noise and fire station announcements horrendous. Could not sleep. Meet another couple staying on the 5th floor they had to buy ear plugs. Noise unacceptable

• Rusadi (9/5): Better than expected and superb location - The location is perfect just walking distance from Town Hall. We can practically reach from Airport to here by Train. The apartment feels big and has its own balcony. It has its own washing machine, dryer, kitchen set and big TV in all the rooms. We can go around the city area by walk and so many supermarket nearby. Because it is in the city center sometimes the streets are noisy.

• Sze (6/5): Good location but with not so helpful host - Very convenient location, can easily access to many touristic spots on foot. The drain at the sink in the bathrooms doesn’t function well, used water flows out quite slow. Plus there were some hairs stuck inside the drain which could be seen as there was no sink stopper. The host was not communicative. Even they provided 2 emergency phone numbers, when I contacted both numbers to inform them one of the lights on the bathroom was out of order, no one replied me in timely manner. Not sure what was the purpose of giving emergency contact. For early check in / late check out request, they kept saying no need to ask them specifically. If the apartment was available for early check in or late check out, they would contact us automatically. Felt like I was communicating with a robot. Understood that it couldn’t be guaranteed as it was a special request. However, as a tourist, I was not familiar with the city, it would be very helpful if the host could have more lively communication with the guests to try to accompany the request so that the guest could have more enjoyable stay. In general, just couldn’t feel the host was very welcoming and friendly, felt like they rent out the property for pure business. Though the location was very convenient location, it was right next to the fire station. The noise from fire truck was quite disturbing.

• Calvin (8/5): Great location. Nice and clean apartment. Communication with owners/managers was horrible. - We booked a 2-bedroom apartment at The Castlereagh for 7 nights. It was in a great location, well within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, malls, and supermarkets. We even walked to The Rocks and Circular Quay for Vivid Sydney. The high-rise apartment itself was spacious and reasonably clean. It was also well equipped with appliances and utensils. It received enough natural light, and had a sliver of a view of Hyde Park between the buildings across the street. However, the major boo-point here was the extremely poor response from the people who manage this apartment. Any questions to them takes them days to answer, if at all. This is even with the messaging platform they offer. Isn’t a messaging platform supposed to be instant or at least fairly quick, witching a few hours? Even prior to our arrival when we enquired if they were able to store our bags because of our early arrival, the response had been a list of bag storage facilities around the city, with no information about which might be the closest to the apartment and hence more convenient, just a generic list. In summary, they failed miserably when it came to communicating with us. And when they did, it was functionally curt and lacking in any warmth or sincerity. That said, if you are familiar with the area and the local practices, and don’t require much help from these people, then yes, The Castlereagh is a viable accommodation option.
• Cerberanz (10/5): Exceptional - Stylish apartment in a perfect location for rail stations, museums, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay etc. You HAVE to visit Le Monde Bakery Cafe just around the corner - food is superb and Dimi is a top guy. 4pm check in is a bit later than standard and wouldn't be great if staying one night.
• Celine (9/5): Location, location! - Very convenient location, lovely bathrooms. The connection between booking.com and Blackbird seemed to be lacking something. I ended up having to call Jodie because I did not receive the necessary message with the details to enter the property.
