Guest Reviews
- Brenton (7/5): Less is more! - Easy access, clean and convenient The need for simplicity- too many instructions around the facility what not to do and what to do….Apply the KISS principle: Keep it simple, stupid. From instructions (labels, notes on walls, instruction manual/guide how to use the TV, fridge, bathroom to overall use of facilities…too excessive! Lost in translation! I have travelled the world and have never encountered such a high level of instructions….. (perhaps some food for thought for the owner).

- Christine (9/5): Relaxing environment smoungst beautiful photography and arty Nick nacs - Comfortable beds, clean, nice treats !! lol
I like the condiments availability and the glad wrap Just a note that the big glass bowl needs a wash .. looked too yucky to pull out.
Maybe a microwave cover to prevent food splashes
One of the cutting knives is really blunt
- Kaili (8/5): Very good - Little late to leave a review but Hubby and I stayed here with our 7 month old in February when visiting family from QLD. We really enjoyed our stay, place is beautifully decorated including gorgeous pictures taken of the lagoon! Fully equipped everything we needed. Great location and private even though it’s located behind the owners house.
The birds are a nice touch when sitting out the back for an afternoon wine to!
- Alex (5/5): Passable - The property was fully equipped with everything we needed. The owner was lovely and accommodating, leaving some nice complimentary wine and snacks. We loved feeding the birds and the yard was really lovely and well maintained. The location was great, close to yanchep national park (we had an event there), close to the beach and close to shops. The private entrance was appreciated as the property is subdivided, we did not feel intruded at any point. The master bed was extremely comfortable for the other guests. We loved the puzzles and games in the living area! Unfortunately for us, we had to stay in the smaller bedroom. It was really hot and muggy and despite having a fan, there was no air con so we spent the nights tossing and turning. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and the bed sheets were scratchy. I assume this room is set up as a “kids” bedroom.
- Sean (7/5): Good -
- Angelika (9/5): Great holiday place. - A relaxing home away from home, has everything you need for a great holiday. The Wi-Fi was a bit weak.
- Debi (10/5): Exceptional - loved the cottage feeling and the birds, the owner has the most delightful styling for a beach holiday home with potted plants throughout
- Michelle (10/5): Would recommend it highly 10/10 - It was very clean and had everything that you needed even some welcome drinks and nibbles such a lovely touch.it was packed of information regarding the area and places to visit. NA
- Katharina (10/5): Exceptional - Shabby Chic Shack was located in a quiet street. We had our own little backyard where we could unwind from the day and watch all the the native birds. The Beach was only minutes away where we watched an amazing sunset. Shabby Chic Shack is close to local shops and restaurants. Yanchep National park, Two Rocks, Guilderton - Moore river are must see. Thank you Veraine we hope to visit again one day.
- Karuna (10/5): Very relaxing and rejuvenating - I really enjoyed the homely feel of the place. It has been decorated with love and care. I really enjoyed having a bath as I don't have a bath at my home. We absolutely loved the beautiful back garden with all the succulents, it is so lush, spacious and green. There was also a bird bath and feeder with seed which attracts a large variety of beautiful birds. The welcome hamper with snacks and wine was also a very nice touch. We will definitely visit again. Nothing, we loved it all!
- Kerren (8/5): Very good - perfect location for work and to the beach
- David (10/5): We loved it. - Awesome little place. Quiet and peaceful. Really well facilitated.
- Steve (10/5): It was just what we needed - a home to chill out in and use as a base. - Quiet location but central to activities. Private use of backyard. A home with all facilities. Wifi at times was a little slow.
- Stephen (9/5): lovely place to stay. Of our 3 weeks travelling along WA coast, apart from one expensive apartment, - lovely back yard with birds feeding, quiet location but not far from facilities and beach

Welcoming host & welcome pack (wine bottles & snacks). Helpful folder of info re local attractions and eating places.
- Renae (10/5): Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. - The house was clean with everything we needed, and a surprise little welcome pack on arrival.
