- Miranda (1/5): Child’s weekend turned into tears after birthday gift stolen by owner - This experience raised serious concerns about both the handling of guest property and the credibility of the host’s communication.
Within hours of checking out, I contacted the host regarding a pair of my daughter’s designer slides left behind, valued at approximately the cost of the stay. I was advised they had already been “discarded” by the cleaner for being “worn,” without any attempt to contact me or hold the item.
When I questioned this, the explanation changed. I was then told the slides had been found under the bed, described as “dirty and tattered,” and disposed of via the building’s rubbish chute. This account does not reflect the condition of the item and was only introduced after the initial response was challenged.
Throughout this process, responsibility was repeatedly shifted onto the cleaning team. Key messages went unanswered, and there was no acknowledgment, no apology, and no genuine attempt to resolve the situation. Instead of taking any responsibility, I was effectively told to go through the building’s trash to try and find the item myself—despite having no access to the property.
The handling of this matter felt less like an attempt to assist and more like an effort to shut the conversation down once challenged.
We will be taking this further. It is unacceptable that a child should lose her belongings in this way—particularly on her birthday—due to decisions made without consent or care.
I have retained and included screenshots of all correspondence for full transparency.
Based on this experience, guests should be aware that items may go missing and you could be left out of pocket for more than the cost of your stay.
- Wayne (7/5): Nice views and position let down by poor cleanliness conditions and comfort - The Location and view The property wasn’t in good condition and the cleanliness was very poor, the dishwasher hadn’t been emptied and the bathrooms were terrible, The Bed in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable. Only had one sofa in the lounge area. This property for a Penthouse is not in good condition sadly and needs a revamp
- Dana (4/5): Disappointed - The view from apartment The standard of furnishing in the penthouse. Mismatched and wobbly. Bathroom tiles tired and dirty. Mismatched kitchenware. Broken windows boarded up with timber and no window treatments.Sticky floors. Only one key provided for a 3 bedroom apartment that can accommodate 6 guests. Scratched and dented walls. Lack of finishing touches like complimentary toiletries. A bottle of wine of arrival. Chocolates. Slippers. These were all provided by Melbourne lifestyle apartments also in Docklands.
- kym (10/5): - Great location, very clean, great views of city, plenty of space, Needs more lounge seating, no blind in one of the rooms,
- Michael (9/5): Great place to stay but sad about management inaction - Views were spectacular, facilities were as expected. One of the windows on the smaller bedrooms was broken by a storm and had not been repaired as yet. The penthouse was reasonable clean and there were some soap etc... available to use. Paying for the car space was necessary because I didn't need to use the car much due to the great public transport Melbourne has. Overall, I'd love to book it again next time it becomes available One of the windows on the smaller bedrooms was broken by a storm and had not been repaired as yet. Last Wednesday I had to make a complaint to the building management because some boys were let into the swimming facilities by one of the tenants and those boys were unsupervised and unruly. During our visit to the pool, a group of boys — who were not residents but were let in by a tenant — were using the pool area as a soccer field, kicking a ball with significant force. Their behavior made it impossible for my family, and another family present, to safely use the pool. The other family had toddlers, and I was genuinely worried for their safety.
The boys continued to behave in an unruly and unsupervised manner, including running around the pool, which resulted in one boy slipping over. At that point, I intervened to stop them running to prevent further injury. The senior member of the other family approached me to express that they were also uncomfortable and unable to use the pool due to the boys’ behavior.
I then approached one of the building staff to report the issue. Despite raising the concern directly, no effective action was taken. My family left the pool area because it was unsafe and unusable. An hour later, as we were leaving for dinner, we saw that the same boys were still in the pool area with the soccer ball, indicating that no meaningful steps had been taken to address the situation.
Additionally, I noted that there are no safety signs in the pool area — no warnings about running, no prohibition of ball games, and no general safety or risk signage. This is a basic requirement in any shared pool facility and is essential for preventing accidents and ensuring resident safety.
- Shellie (4/5): Was disappointed - The property location is fantastic. Tram at the front door basically. Great area
Parking was fantastic. The windows didn’t open in bedrooms and one bedroom had no blind on it so no privacy and couldn’t keep light and heat out. We were not informed about this at all. No fresh air was not good. We were there in very hot day 44! Air conditioner in main lounge area was running non stop to try and cool the bedrooms which were getting blasted by the sun and especially the one with no blind. Main bedroom had small air con which only cooled that room.
We had only one key and fob which made it tricky when we were going in different directions at times.
The lounge had only one couch that seats 3 people. For a 3 bedroom apartment you would think would have suitable couches/seating did more than 3 people. The dinning table only has 5 seats which we had to use at times.
They bed in main bedroom is so low to the floor many would struggle to get on and out of it. The furnishings across the board were not great. Definitely not what I was expecting. Old beds with bed head and bottom rails (if tall would hit the bottom rail) very out dated.
I guess we were disappointed given it is a penthouse we were expecting it to be a lot nicer and more comfortable for our stay. The noise from wind whistling through the gaps in door was so loud had to open the door to alleviate some of the noise.
- Jody (1/5): Absolutely would not recommend. Unless you like hard beds, no bedroom air conditioning except in the primary. Overpric - The location was good. The view was magnificent. The lounge was comfortable. The listing said one room had a futon bed and a double bed (and two other rooms with beds) and when I enquired about booking, was very clear we required the two beds for my sons. There is no futon bed, just a mattress you can put on the floor and no linen. The owner was rude and unhelpful, refusing to provide linen unless we were charged extra - despite a clear email trail.
The double bed in one room was supremely uncomfortable (and also had no mattress protector which is just gross) Windows had been boarded up and in one case half blacked out, because of a building issue - fine if you like a whiff of condemned building - but they did not replace the blind - so woken by streaming bright sunlight every day. No air conditioning or fan in two bedrooms, so stifling hot.
The kitchen is nice but poorly equipped - think 20 wine glasses for the party you’re not permitted, and 3 water glasses! Not a mixing or salad bowl in sight, not even a platter. And blunt knives. Every wall is scuffed and marked. Despite taking a bond, specifically mentioning ‘don’t stain anything’ there were stains on the fabric chairs and the fabric bed frame, that were gross and a black light inspection would have you running for the hills. Overall cleaning standard and maintenance was average. One tea towel for 7 days and no dishcloth that wasn’t old and cruddy.

- Chris (9/5): Very convenient location with easy walking and public transport options to explore the city and surrounds - The location and the views day and night There was a strange harmonic noise through the apartment plumbing when hot water was in use.
- Munafo (5/5): For the amount of money paid it was not a plesant stay at all. - The views, and the location. The check in and check out process
Having only one key was frustrating
No dishwasher
Not enough couches for a family
Front door not closing properly
Shower pipes extremely loud when in use
- Monika (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - The views were absolutely amazing! And the apartment was spacious. Easy to access and safe secure carparking. The dishwasher didn't work and the cleanliness wasn't great the walls etc were quite scuffed. There was a chair on the deck that was broken but made to look like you could sit on it, so not very safe!
- James (9/5): Enjoyed our stay. Great apartment and location. - Size and location No complaints at all
- Tanya (8/5): Check in & out were easy. I’m glad I took photos & videos upon arrival and leaving as they tried pinning a few t - Beautiful penthouse, located just out of the chaos. No ducted a/c, rooms were hot. no outdoor setting, no forks (lucky we didn’t eat in at all), coffee machine didn’t work either. 1 key & fob provided, definitely another set would have been great. Checking out was made easy however the office admin were a bit difficult.
- Natasha (7/5): Good - The views, it was clean No AC in 2 of the bedrooms, very bad in hot days.

- Foubister (8/5): Very good - Fantastic view of Melbourne City, close to Marvel Stadium.
- Carlie (7/5): A really lovely apartment & fabulous views apart from some cleanliness issues we enjoyed our stay ☺️ - The view was absolutely stunning especially at night with the beautiful Melbourne city lights. The fridge/freezer had an awful smell, there was red wine vomit not cleaned on main toilet and there were no tea towels provided. The couch didn't accommodate for 6 guests, and no smart tv.
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Aman (7/5): It was good - Location was good and enjoyable It was not clean as expected and we haven’t hear about my bond which i deposit on mention account.
- Jayden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandro (8/5): Very good -
- Deena (10/5): Great location and perfect view - The location is amazing and plenty of space We thought that the lounge suite was a little small for a three bedroom apartment and they had plenty of room for something larger
- Renee (8/5): Unreal. can't wait to return - The space is great, we have been before and will return again. thank you so much. After our initial visit, we asked for a second key on arrival.
This is crucial for the size of the apartment catering for a variety of guests.
We hope this feedback is taken before our next visit.
- Harley (7/5): Good - Location and view Bedding was very uncomfortable
- Renee (8/5): Very good - The space was well furnished and clean.
The view was AMAZING.
we will definitely return A second key for a space this big would have been good.
We had to rely on being together or coming up and down.
We also wanted a broom to sweep - children make mess when eating etc. so a dust pan would be handy.
- Sam (10/5): Great accomodation - Everything from location to the cleanliness and parking Nothing
- Emma (5/5): the location and view was great but didn’t meet the expectations of a penthouse in Melbourne - the location and view couldn’t check in till 4 … which is a bit late. Had to chase for access to pick up a key. When we got in the room the cleaner had only half cleaned and we had to wait another 45 minutes. The balcony was so dirty and needed a clean. 1 small couch for an apartment that sleeps 6 is not enough. There was no mention of the pool on the property so didn’t pack our swimmers.
- Paula (6/5): Pleasant - The views were amazing! It was clean and relatively comfortable. The living areas were good. The size of the rooms was good. The beds were not comfortable at all!
We were only provided with one key fob for entry/exit of the complex. I did ask for a second one as my husband and I were going separate ways, and he needed to leave with the car. I was told that there was only one, unfortunately.
For a 3 bedroom apartment that you need the fob for every single thing in the building, one is not enough! You couldn't go to the pool without someone going with you to take the fob in case they needed to go out or to the car level. The car has to use the fob to exit the building. But, it has to be left on the kitchen table on departure. You can only exit the building from one entry (there are two side entrances plus the garage) without the fob. Therefore, making the whole process very time-consuming and annoying.
We had a party on the floor directly below us till 5am! Not cool 😑
