• Smith (4/5): Location great... But no longer a resort - Location... that was about it. This is my first negative review, and I hope it highlights issues that genuinely need attention. I’ve worked in and stayed at many resorts throughout the Pacific, and this is no longer a true “resort.” What was once a well-integrated property now feels fragmented—individually owned units, a mix of retirees, workers, and a few holiday guests, all managed through multiple booking agents. There’s no cohesion, and it shows. Reception offers little support as it doesn’t manage this unit. It’s marketed as a resort, but in reality it feels like everyone is operating separately, with no unified guest experience. Facilities are inconsistent and poorly managed. Pool signage is confusing—one sign says no glass, yet I was told to leave with a zero-alcohol beer in a can. Another sign says no food or drinks at all. It’s unclear and frustrating. The BBQ area appears unfinished and has been for years (was even stated as such in the welcome booklet). There’s a single council-style BBQ near reception, which was consistently dirty. The restaurant, once a highlight, was disappointing—only one of three meals was acceptable. The room was fine, but felt like a forced attempt at being self-contained. Appliances and utensils were crammed in, and washing dishes meant using a tiny bathroom sink or a plastic tub stored above the toilet. Can't cook at a BBQ, can't eat at the restaurant and the room was not practical either. Check-in was poorly handled. We expected a standard 2–3pm check-in but were told 4pm. We were advised we’d “find out on arrival” about early access, despite it being self check-in via lockbox. No update came, we checked in after 4pm anyway, and only received confirmation at 5pm—after we were already in. Overall, to continue to promote itself as a resort, the place needs to operate as a single, coordinated property again. The restaurant, pool rules, BBQ area, and communication all need fixing. Right now, it simply doesn’t deliver what it advertises.

The room had everything you need with a bit of personal flair. We would stay again. Thank you Restaurant wasn't open, however we had the best BBQs there and sat watching the ocean.

No one at reception as this is a private let but this was disappointing for a resort. No pool - under repair. Restaurant promising and has fantastic prospects under Tanaya but host did not tell us that it would be shut Monday and Tuesday. Not good having to wash dishes in bathroom!

• Jacqui (7/5): Dolphin Heads Unit - Great swimming pool, great view from the room on the ground floor easy access in and out for everyone. Quick trip to the city by car very easy using google maps. Food was delicious at the resort. Overall though the price was good. Very good mattress Felt like someone lived there. I wasnt expecting cooking facilities didnt use due to no exhaust fan. Too many extention cords and power packs. The type of bed frame not a fan, best I think for your own home.

Queen Bed was very comfortable but would have preferred a pull out couch instead of a day bed as the second bed. Bathroom was also a good size with great water pressure in the shower. Private outdoor seating area was a great spot to sit and enjoy the view. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant was great value for money and pool area was very well kept.

Cutlery was dirty, as were the floors and surfaces. No sink in kitchenette, you are expected to wash dishes in the bathroom sink next to the toilet. It just felt cluttered and outdated. Very disappointing.

Bar and restaurant on site was a bonus. Gorgeous family of ducks outside. Had everything I needed - except milk! Lucky the bar was there. Staff in the morning were quite noisy outside. Asian man upstairs had a loud conversation which I could hear but not understand.

Was very disappointed by this as this was the main reason for bookong here as we needed to wask sporting clothes. And then having to walk to the resort launrdy and pay $10 to wash and dry clothes not happy. Also at no point did it mention that the 3rd bed was a pull out bed. Bed was far too soft and bumpy. White towels were stained.

Was a little small for a family of four but we managed. Bed were super comfortable and everything was supplied. Confusing check in. Was had to find the location of the room. No staff available on site to ask and own did not answer when trying to call.

The cleanliness had a lot to be desired. The air con vents were clogged, vent in bathroom clogged with fluff, live cockroach in room, small spiders , draws containing kitchen items dirty, main cupboard, dirty. Under trundle bed filthy. Ceiling fan filthy. I cleaned, the filters in aircon & ceiling fan, vacuumed the main cupboard. The shelves with decor were dusty. Door tracks very dirty. Towels had a very musty smell. I did enjoy my stay (even with the bad weather). The room was beautifully decorated. I just felt I had to comment on the cleaning. It was definitely not up to standard. The staff were amazing that I dealt with in the resort. Absolutely a great place to stay. But the cleaning does need attention.

• Meralda (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay, the bed was comfortable, the view was perfect, just no wi-fi in room. - I loved the beachfront view, & the bed was so comfortable, struggled a bit with getting the PIN for the gate & lockbox, but once I got it, everything ran smoothly, really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that disappointed me was no wi-fi in the room, but other than that, was happy with everything else.

Bug spray, first aid kit, hand soap and Air freshener were were nice touch too. The room did smell a little like it had been mopped with a dirty mop Owner was willing to get cleaner to come back and have a look but we were on hollidays and didn't want to be disturbed.. There were cleaning products and air freshener I was able to make do with so that was ok

Sat outside on the grass most evenings. it was spectacular. No chairs/lounges/tables around to pool. apparently body corp didn’t want guests hanging around the pool. so they have no furniture. I would have been very annoyed had we not had a ground floor apartment with the grass out front to sit on. rather disappointing
