• Christine (9/5): Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft in wunderschöner Lage - Le Petit Palais ist eine sehr liebe- und geschmackvoll ausgestattete Unterkunft, die modernen Komfort mit traditionellem Ambiente verbindet. Marina, die sich überwiegend um uns gekümmert hat, war aufmerksam und hatte viele Tipps für uns. Das Frühstück war nicht nur für italienische Verhältnisse reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Die Aussicht auf Neapel war traumhaft.

Really liked the Vomero district and the location - quiet, great restaurants, safe. Staff was always helpful and responsive. Thank you! Like other reviews the stairs add an element of fun to the stay. :) But if you are healthy and don’t mind the exercise, this is the place to be.

Matress in the bed was very much worn out and therefore uncomfortable. The terrace with the view is unfortunately only available during breakfast in the morning till around 10:30.

• Ziola (9/5): Kameralny pensjonat - Piękne widoki z okna pokoju i tarasu, gdzie serwowane są smaczne śniadania. Przemiły i pomocny personel, w szczególności menadżerka Maria, która chętnie opowie o Neapolu i jego okolicach. Z pensjonatu łatwo dostać się pieszo lub komunikacją miejską do wszelkich atrakcji miasta. Pensjonat położony jest na zboczu wzgórza i jedynym wyzwaniem może być dla niektórych dostanie się do niego po schodach, idąc pod górę od strony ulicy Vittorio Emanuele. Chociaż same schody są już same w sobie atrakcją turystyczną z powodu panoramy miasta. Najłatwiej i najlżej dostać się do niego od strony zamku Sant’Elmo, idąc w dół jedynie około 70 metrów.

• MARCO (10/5): Un'oasi di pace in uno dei quartieri più caotici di Napoli - Situato nella parte alta del quartiere del Vomero, la struttura è deliziosa, in posizione pittoresca sulle pendici della collina che domina il centro storico di Napoli con la maestosa mole in tufo di Castel Sant'Elmo e la Certosa di San Martino da cui parte l'ampia scalinata che porta al Le Petit Palais. La zona é ben collegata con i mezzi pubblici. Il b&b è dotato di ampi spazi comuni. La mia stanza era comoda, pulita in maniera inappuntabile, dotata di tutti i confort richiesti. WiFi gratuito ben funzionante. Durante le ore notturne si gode di un assoluto silenzio che contrasta col caos delle altre zone della città. Anche il bagno era funzionalmente perfetto e dotato di buon set di asciugamani, detergenti e asciugacapelli. Fantastica la colazione in posizione panoramicissima, ricca di di Spremute, frutta fresca, omelette oltre ai classici cappuccino, caffè e te. L'accesso è solo pedonale, essendo la struttura su di una scalinata a gradoni che collegava il centro storico di Napoli col castello e la Certosa. Sconsigliato per chi ha limitazioni motorie o bagagli pesanti

A reggeli helyszíne Nápoly egyik legszebb legszebb panorámáját kínáló pontján található, és ehhez passzol a reggeli minősége is. Gyümölcslevek, édes kekszek, omlett, joghurt, gyümölcs, kenyér, lekvárok, méz, friss édes péksütemény, valamint kávé és tea. Minden nap egyik csúcspontja. A szoba kényelmes, és tiszta, wifin keresztül a tv-re lehet csatlakozni. Ha a kis párnát szereted, akkor vigyél magaddal. A megközelíthetőség okozhat nehézséget a lépcsők miatt.

• Jeremy (10/5): - Breakfast - excellent. Water, orange juice, fresh melon, grapefruit juice, yoghurt, filled croissant, small omelette, bread and butter, coffee. I had breakfast outside on the terrace with great views over the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Location - accessible on foot only and down around 80 steps from the nearest drop off point above the hotel. Around 320 steps plus a further descent through the Spanish Quarter to get to the centre plus sea front etc, so you need to be reasonably fit, (especially in the height of Summer when it can be hot). A good view from my widow over the city.

We booked it with the plan to see the panorama in the evening but that was surprisingly not allowed.

Provided everything we needed for our Italian weeke - Beautiful location, easy to access main city Marina is a fantastic hostess, her knowledge of Naples is second to none and she gave us so much useful information. Comfortable bed and cosy little bedroom. Breakfast offerings were ok, more hot options would have been welcome.
• Natalia (6/5): Mejorable - La amabilidad y las vistas desde la terraza Creo que deberían informar ante todo de que por la ubicación del hotel, es muy complicado moverse ya que hay muchos escalones muy incómodos y solo te avisan cuando ya se acerca la fecha de tu estancia. Si alguien no se da cuenta de esto y va con personas de movilidad reducida o con algún provoke apta subir y bajar escalones, el viaje podría convertirse en un grave problema

• David (2/5): Very poor experience in the superior double room. Book the other rooms and you will have a great stay. - The property has a good and unique location at the top of Naples, overlooking the city. The housekeeper was very friendly. The owner has quick communications and provided clear directions and check in instructions. First I want to say that this is not a bad place, other rooms would be a great experience. We booked the Superior Double room and do not believe it should be available. It was not fit to stay in. From the moment we walked in we could smell a damp, mouldy smell. It was very humid with limited light and airflow, and black mould was visible throughout the room. This can be a serious health concern for some people and the owner should address this before allowing any more guests to stay there. We let the owner know, but as the other rooms were booked there was nothing that could be done which we accepted. The housekeeper offered additional air fresheners, which was very kind but this does not resolve the issue. The shower did not drain properly and the hot water was intermittent. In addition, I personally also found the stay to be a bit strange, as the view and outdoor area are clearly the first and best advertisement for the property, however you are unable to access it outside of the breakfast hours. In our case, we asked to eat outside and were told that we shouldn’t. We found how the outdoor area is presented to be slightly misleading, but have noted comments from the owner saying this is because they live there. If that is the case, it should be clearly stated. In this way, it was a very impersonal ‘B&B’ experience.

Wir können die Unterkunft und Marina absolut weiterempfehlen. Es wäre schön, wenn man die tolle Terrasse auch abends auf ein Glas Wein genießen könnte.

• Hella (5/5): Tegenvaller!!! - Het ontbijt was prima en het personeel was vriendelijk. In de slaapkamer hing een zeer penetrante geur (urine) en de airco werkte niet goed (andere gasten hadden ook een 'swetty" nacht gehad . Dit hebben wij dezelfde avond gemeld maar er was helaas geen andere kamer ter beschikking. Het was te laat om een andere locatie te gaan zoeken. We hebben dan ook bijna niet geslapen (mijn man is astmatisch en heeft daardoor ook klachten gekregen). In de douche bleef water staan omdat de afvoer niet goed werkte. We zouden 3 nachten blijven maar dat was niet te doen. Er bleek een breuk in de leiding van de buren te zijn. Dit moest bekend zijn want aan de hand van de foto's kun je zien dat de lekkage er al langer was. Bovendien zei het personeel dat er foto's gemaakt waren in die kamer. We kregen slechts 2 nachten vergoed. Op de vraag om een tegemoetkoming te ontvangen voor die slechte nacht en het feit dat we de dag erna een andere locatie hebben moeten zoeken werd niet meer gereageerd. Ons werd wel met nadruk gevraagd om geen slechte review te plaatsen. De eigenaren hebben ook niet de moeite genomen om ter plekke komen kijken. We hebben achterafmeerdere keren geprobeerd contact te krijgen, maar ons nummer is waarschijnlijk geblokkeerd. Conclusie: ze hadden deze kamer niemand ter beschikking moeten stellen!!!
• Mario (9/5): A gem of a place - There is no doubt that Le Petit Palais is a bit of a gem. Our room was a good size, the breakfast excellent, and the lounge areas, particularly the outside roof garden idyllic, with wonderful views across Naples bay and of Vesuvius. We loved it and would strongly recommend a stay, subject to anyone staying needing to be aware of and able to negotiate the steps! Our only comment, to help other travellers is to warn that one needs to be reasonably fit, and preferably with back pack luggage rather than suitcases, because final close access to the property cannot be made by any form of transport other than walking. From the nearest road access, Largo San Martino, there are exactly 98 steps down to the property. Difficult with a heavy suitcase, you cannot wheel a case easily down the lovely stone steps.
• Suzanne (8/5): Stunning views and a good breakfast to start the day. - Beds were very comfortable and the views from the breakfast terrace were stunning. Marina was very helpful with additional information when needed. Area felt relatively safe to stay in. Overall a good breakfast, especially the omlettes. Pillows were very ridgid, could have done with something a bit softer. Would have liked better quality fruit and less sweet choices at breakfast. Minor issues, altogether the accomodation was good.

• Muha (10/5): Csodálatos! - Álomszép panoráma, csodálatos reggeliző terasz. Igényes, ízléses berendezés.A Sant Elmo vár közvetlen közelében, mintha visszakerülnél a régmúltba. Nagyon kedves, segítőkész tulajdonosokkal. Valóban nagyon sok lépcsőn lehet megközelíteni, de a panoráma mindenért kárpótol. Sajnos a tömegközlekedést megközelíteni elég nehéz kb 1km sétával lehetséges, előtte még nagyon sok lépcsőt is végig kell járni.
• wanda (6/5): It was fun but we could have done much more - Marina the manager. The view from the hotel. It’s at a place that cabs don’t go because of the stairs. Very hard to get there with suitcases. We ended up not going out at night because of the stairs. The taxi wasn’t pleased either.
• Erik (10/5): Det var super godt og vi kan kun anbefale dette. - Morgen maden var rigtig fin og vi fik morgenmaden serveret Vi var ikke opmærksomme på, at terrassen, hvor vi indtog vores morgenmad kun måtte bruges til dette formål. Den skønne udsigt kunne derfor ikke benyttes om aftenen til at se solnedgangen samtidig med, at vi ikke indtage et glas vin.
• Roxane (8/5): Logement de charme, mais à améliorer - Le petit déjeuner était copieux et varié avec possibilité de demander des oeufs. La vue depuis la terrasse, mais qui n'est accessible que lors du petit déjeuner. La litterie était très bonne. Emplacement dans un quatier calme par rapport au reste de Naples L'air conditionné ne fonctionnait pas bien et il était quasiment impossible de raffraichir la chambre. Odeur d'humidité dans tout le bâtiment Présence d'un gros chien juste en bas de notre fenêtre qui aboyait à toute heure.
• Frederic (10/5): Un petit havre de tranquillité dans cette ville aussi folle que belle. - Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable a 'Le Petit Palais'. L'emplacement peut surprendre pour une semaine complète, perché au milieu de la colline, mais nous n’avons absolument pas regretté notre choix. Comme recommandé par Gianmarco, nous avons pris un taxi depuis l’aéroport jusqu’à Largo San Martino (près du Castel Sant’Elmo) pour 31 €. De là, il suffit de descendre quelques escaliers pour atteindre le logement. À l’arrivée, la descente est facile ; en revanche, pour le retour avec les valises, mieux vaut être un peu en forme ou prendre son temps. Cela dit, l’emplacement est idéal pour le reste du séjour : extrêmement calme, bien plus reposant que le centre historique ou le quartier espagnol, ce qui est vraiment appréciable dans une ville aussi "dynamique" que Naples. Les métros et funiculaires permettent de se déplacer facilement à toute heure, sans avoir à marcher excessivement, notamment le soir après de grosses journées de visites. En descendant les escaliers, on se retrouve entre les deux quartiers principaux (le centre historique et les quartiers espagnols), tout en étant à deux pas du quartier de Vomero, plus haut de gamme et propre. C’est un vrai plus si l’on cherche un peu de tranquillité. Enfin, si l'on souhaite rester dans ce quartier (Vomero) le soir pour éviter de redescendre dans l’agitation du centre-ville, nous avons trouvé deux adresses abordables pour le diner : la Trattoria Vanvitelli, très agréable, et le Frank Malone Pub, juste à côté du logement. Je tiens particulièrement à remercier notre hôte Gianmarco pour sa grande disponibilité, ses conseils et sa sympathie. Merci à l'équipe du Petit Palais pour le service. Parmi les améliorations possibles, je dirais que notre lit était un peu fatigué et mériterait d’être remplacé prochainement, car il s’affaisse légèrement. Et si l’on veut vraiment être exigeant, un petit renouvellement du petit-déjeuner serait appréciable : il est bon, mais nous avons eu exactement la même chose pendant 7 jours… mais ça, c’est sûrement notre côté un peu trop français !

Une chambre confortable, très propre et un personnel accueillant et de bon conseil ! La chambre était superbe mais il manquait peut-être des équipements comme une cafetière et un petit frigo. Le petit déjeuner aurait pu être plus varié d’un jour à l’autre.

Le personnel très gentil et très professionnel . Tout est d'une propreté incroyable. Beaucoup de résonance dans l'entrée la nuit. Malgré les panneaux qui demandent aux clients de ne pas claquer la porte et de rester discret, cela ne suffit pas visiblement. C'est le seul désagrément du séjour !

Our stay was perfect, the property is close to everything, the staff was very nice and welcoming (they even advised us on the things to do while there) Every morning we had breakfast in the beautiful balcony with an amazing view over naples
• Enrico (10/5): Beautiful Scenic Location, Excellent Everything! - Excellent location, value and experience in general.Easy access to almost everywhere in Naples. Fantastic, magical views!! Friendly staff, beautifully decorated interior and very clean. The stairs leading to the property aren't for the faint hearted. You'd better be in good health and have some strong muscles if you're carrying luggage.
• Kat (9/5): Really cute B&B - Marina was incredibly helpful when helping us decide what to do with our time in Naples. The rooms are cute, breakfast is great and Vomero is a great location. It was very, very hot while we were in Naples and the air con wasn't really powerful enough to deal with it. The other thing to know is that when they say it's on the steps they really, really mean it. The views are stunning but there are 80 steps from the B&B to the main part of Vomero where you can find the funicular and metro. This wasn't such a problem for us, but I'm putting it in this section for people doing their research - if you have any mobility issues or aren't fit, think carefully before booking.

There are 80 steps to descend to access the b&b. Not easy with suitcases. The breakfast area with fantastic views over the bay is not accessible after 10.30 am
• Laurent (6/5): Good for one night - Location is very good. Mariana is a lovely host and knows a lot about Naples The room was quite small. The linens and towels were worn out and should be replaced. The mattress protector was inadequate for rental standards. The bed itself was old and not particularly comfortable. Access to the panoramic terrace was limited — it was only available during breakfast at 8 a.m., not freely accessible throughout the day as expected.

Website states air con in the room, but it wasn’t available for eco reasons. More should have been explained about access difficulties with 80 large stairs to get there.

She gave us lots of good tips on where to visit - all the places that she recommended were excellent. The view from the breakfast terrace was amazing! The breakfast was just what was required, and served with a smile. The location away from the centre of Naples was ideal for us.

The housekeeper is a true angel and gives many tips for sightseeing and for dinner! There's nothing we didn't like or anything bad.

• Fiona (8/5): Excellent value for money and stule - Marina could not have been more helpful and attentive. The view from the property was exceptional and the location is fab- quiet and easy to down to the main entrance to the Spanish Quarter easy- funicular back!
• Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Perhaps one the best accomodations we’ve ever had. The staff is wonderful especially Marina. The room is very nice with a nice view of the city. Just be prepared for the stairs so if you carry a luggage it could be quite a challenge.
• Amaya (10/5): Stunning views for breakfast - Incredibly cozy place with stunning views of. Apples and Vesuvius!! The place is absolutely dreamy and comfortable so I would stay there again if I came back. The only way to access the house is by foot by walking a few stairs down, so just be aware.

• Eliza (10/5): Exceptional - Great people who are taking care of their guests and provide their best insights about city. Beds are comfortable, room is clean, and their breakfast was one of the most healthy and diverse compared to all the stays we had in Italy. Steps were a challenge, but we discovered that you can't avoid steps in Napoli. Therefore, they are also part of city charm. And the view at the end was all worth it.

• Alexander (10/5): Breathtaking in so many ways - The breakfast was great a nice balance of different juices fresh pineapple and wonderful bread served with by a wonderful lady :) I would suggest more options for a hot breakfast as sometimes it is nice to have a variety of different foods to start the day.
• Kent (9/5): Cozy and lovely. Wonderful staff. Early morning and evening patio access not possible. - Breakfast was very nice. The accommodations were lovely and cozy. Staff excellent. Location was very out of the way and difficult to reach especially with luggage. The views are amazing, however! Coffee and access to back patio for views should be available much earlier as well as into the evening. One must wait until 8am to ask for coffee and be outside. In the evening I had hoped to sit out with a drink and enjoy the evening and view but that was not at all possible. The location is quite removed from the street and negotiating the 80 steps down and back up with luggage was extremely difficult.
