- Seiyial (8/5): - My friends really liked the seaview and the apartment in general. Personally, I don't think I stayed this high for a long time, and the seaview was thus quite unique. The kitchen had all the basic stuff you'd want. Knives, bowls, plates, dining utensils. There was a fair (of mostly barbecued food) downstairs just beside the block and there was a supermarket in a mall at the end of that fair that had all the usual stuff we'd think of cooking. It's nothing special but has all the stuff you'd expect to find in a supermarket, including fresh meat. The shower is great. It has a rain shower and normal shower toggle, the water speed is average-decent, it is not the most spacious shower space but it's good enough, and it's enclosed so even though it may create a bit of constriction it does mean water doesn't go all over the place. It has soap dispensers that dispensed soaps for us. The fact that it has 3 toilets effectively means it's an apartment with 3 ensuites. For the price, it's pretty amazing. The Aircon in the living room was certainly appreciated. I suggest installing mittens on the chairs so that they're easier to (silently) bring around. The apartment complex (not the unit) gave off a very sleepy abandoned vibe even though there were people over the place. It was weird (so it was interesting). But it's not a kind of outside environment I'd want to stay long term because it feels very neglected. It has a mall but the mall is half-empty. It's a pretty nice building but as a foot passenger you walk through the dark gloomy carpark to get to the lift (there didn't seem to be another entrance). If you order food delivery you also have to walk through said carpark. Yes it's a bit of nitpicking but yeahhh it's not an "ahh this feels like a lovely place!" kind of feeling, it's a bit of the opposite. The Unit is resists its environment pretty well though. Also, as the other reviews have said, these guys have quite a check-in process that asked for a lot of additional information. The staff were really helpful when I encountered issues, but it doesn't change that fact. The agreement demanded me to stay for at least 2 nights and I had to gain clarification that 1 night is fine. (It would be sad if in that moment of realisation I didnt have a free cancellation booking.) Not really a user experience one would expect for a booking.com listing. Great staff though. Cleanliness of the unit: it was okay with it for a night, maybe I will be for two, but I do wish it was cleaner. It made me want to put something over my pillows. My friends had no complaints though.
- Don (10/5): Clean, affordable stay with a lovely sea view - Really enjoyed my stay here at Danga Bay! The place was super clean and well taken care of. For the price, it’s honestly very worth it. The sea view from the room was beautiful — I loved just sitting by the window and relaxing. Location’s also convenient, with cafes and shops nearby. The host was friendly and quick to reply too. I’d definitely come back and stay here again next time I visit Johor Bahru! Honestly, nothing much to complain about. Everything was as expected and I had a comfortable stay.

- Lesley (2/5): Liked the area but not the apartment. - Eateries were conveniently located. Scenery was good. Location was also good. The balcony had metal chairs and one was broken with the metal rod sticking out. This was not repaired and it could have caused great injury. The gas stove and induction stove were damaged. Housekeeping was minimal, as all the linen in the cupboard just fell out when the doors opened.

Although it's a distance away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded spots in JB, it's still easy to get around with Grab. Cleanliness and maintenance can be better. Mouldy walls and musky smell emanating from the kitchen require serious attention.
- Yee (5/5): Passable - The apartment itself was fine. Just old if you look closely. The towels were stained, and the sheets had dust washed into them, and hair on the pillowcase. However, the experience with the management put me off. 1. After the free cancellation period ended, they sent me a link asking me to pay a security deposit through the external platform. With so many scams involving external links on Booking.com, i never wanted to pay like this, but no choice for non-Malaysians. And i was only told about it after it was too late to cancel. 2. They wanted the full names, contact and passport number of everyone staying in the accommodations. Although they said this is a requirement from the condo itself, i have stayed in so many Booking.com places before, and never encountered this. 3. One of the the air conditioning units was leaking a lot of water and couldnt be switched on at all. After asking me for a picture, they did not reply me, give an apology, or attempt to fix the issue. All they said was thanks for letting us know when we checked out. Could have done more seeing as how they short changed our stay. If you want to avoid all this, don't book this accommodation. If i had known about the 1st 2 points beforehand, I would have cancelled.
