• Caitlin (7/5): We had a good one night stay at the “pretty beach house”. The house had all the essentials we needed and the host was ve - The property was in a great location and had all the essentials we needed for our short trip. Lidia was also very helpful when we left a few things behind and arranged for us to come and collect them as we were local. Would be nice if there was a bigger couch or an additional couch as there was only a three seater.

• Anthony (7/5): Accommodation catered to our needs - The location was great as it was close to Scarborough beach and also near the Karrinyup mall. The street was also quiet with drive on access. Be warned the host may cancel on you at very late notice. In mid-January 2024, I booked 4 nights’ accommodation in September 2024 at Pretty House plus a further two nights later in Sept and October. A month out from our trip, we received a message from the host in regard to the 4-night booking that said, “We are unable to host you during this time. We request for a quicker refund, that you cancel the booking”. When I enquired as to whether the other two later nights’ accommodation bookings were OK the host surprised me by saying the accommodation was available again and did, I still want to rent the property for the four nights? This flip flopping caused unnecessary confusion and anxiety for me but fortunately, we were able to rebook the dates (we’ve since found the found the place is also hosted on Air BnB so she may cancel the booking for a short stay, in order to get a longer stay or a higher price). The day of our arrival, we were told to turn up as late as possible as the place had been trashed by the previous tenants. We arrived at 5pm and had a bit of difficulty finding the property (I would recommend including the unit number in the check-in instructions). Closet space was lacking in the rooms downstairs. We also found it a little odd there were still towels in the washing machine being washed (so we hung these on the line) and left over food in the fridge. Also, the host’s personal items were in all the cupboard space so it wasn’t that feasible to unpack your suitcase.

• Anthony (1/5): We were very disappointed, to find out the evening before we were due to check in. - We had a booking confirmation for Sunday 29th but had a Whatsapp Msg from Lydia, saying she didn't have us booked in for the night and guests were already checked in for the week. We are still waiting on our $449 refund for the nights accommodation. Lydia indicated she wasn't sure how this had happened.

• Lucie (5/5): Great location, house lacking. - Great location. Area lovely with lots of local parks. Parking was easy and the house had a good practical layout. The property requires some maintenance and cleaning. I wasn’t aware the house would be full of the owners personal belongings and a fridge with lots of half eaten items is not pleasant. The lack of lounge seating and no aircon in bedrooms was an issue for a group of 5.
• Joe (7/5): Overall still a good experience. - Very homey. Coffee machine and snack provision were the big plus. Full kitchen facilities. Outstanding. I searched for service apartment via booking.com and only found out on the day that it was an Airbnb facility (with hosts’ belongings). Also it will be a bonus to have a microwave and laundry dryer.
• Greg (7/5): Location is great.Close to major shops and shopping centre. Good holiday over 5 days. - Location. Close to major shopping centre and beaches. Property needs TLC. No microwave. Plenty of cleaning products, but no cleaning cloths or sponges. Range hood doesn't work. Cooking utensils (frying pans) need replacing .No closet space. Hosts personal items were in all the cupboard space.

Property is unfortunately not value for amount of money it is listed for. - Lidia was a good host and she was responsive and I could tell she takes pride in her listing. The location of the property is good and close to the beach. The add for this property is misleading and as a group we were disappointed in a couple of aspects. Being a group of 5 people the couch could fit maximum 3 of us. The space was a bit small for a large group. The add also says the property has been renovated, the bathrooms and bedrooms are not renovated. The bottom two bedrooms only had swivelling fans and the add mentions the property has airconditioning. The water pressure for both showers went from extremely hot to lukewarm - the property smelt of gas when we arrived. The amount we paid for a 3 night stay at this property was not value for money in my opinion. No microwave.
• Kimberley (5/5): This property was NOT value for money and unprofessional host with zero integrity. - The property was equipped with everything needed for the stay including pantry items for cooking your own meals. The lounge area isn’t very comfortable and had just 1x two-seater plus a wooden seat and no rugs to sit comfortably on the lounge floor. There were a lot of personal items kept in the house which I found a little awkward and not ideal for longer stays where I like to unpack so things are kept away/tidy. There was also nowhere to hang washing out, nor a dryer so that was inconvenient. Also left one (relatively valuable) personal item behind by mistake and haven’t received a response to date in regards to having that returned so that had dampened the overall experience especially since such care was taken to leave the property “family-home” in an immaculate condition.

• Julia (7/5): Nice home - The home was clean and tidy. The kitchen is spacious, and well stocked. The bed linen was clean. The host was very responsive. Check-in instructions were easy. Check out instructions were reasonable. There were board games and a large dollhouse for younger kids. I would have liked to use the woodfire pizza oven but I wasn't sure how to, so we just used the oven to cook our pizza, which worked well I didn't realise the bedrooms on the ground floor didn't have air-conditioning. It wasn't so bad as it wasn't too warm if it had been hotter, it would have been uncomfortable as I like to sleep in a cold room. I slept in the master bedroom that did have aircon. The bedrooms were decorated really cute though. The price was also kinda pricey for what it was, but the kids had a good time so overall I'm pretty happy with my stay.
• Trish (7/5): A very functional place for a short stay just needs a bit of TLC - A good catch-up for family as we visited Perth for a wedding. Position to nearby beaches etc BBQ was very worn and unable to use it, no microwave, main bedroom no hanging space for your clothes or hangers. Could have been cleaner eg fridge etc TV main channels 9 and 10 poor reception. Back door had no lock.

I would recommend the property including the unit number in the checkin instructions. Having said that the owner was very responsive when we reached out and once pointed I. The right direction everything ran smoothly.

The outside area was lovely and a very good location also! Couldn’t recommend this stay enough! Very big thank you to the owner for being so accommodating for our special request.
