Guest Reviews
- Joanne (8/5): Absolutely amazing location - you can't beat it!!!! - The location is amazing!!!! At the front door, you look straight through to the Opera House. It was so easy to walk everywhere from the terrace - a very short walk into The Rocks and down to Circular Quay. The terrace is a gorgeous historical building. It was so nice for the whole family to be able to stay together in the one building. The street outside the terrace was relatively quite during the day and it was usually possibly to get a car spot but it was quite expensive ($8/hr I think) and a maximum of 2 hours at a time. Had no problem getting a parking space at the nearby Wilson Bond One carpark. You can use the nearby laneway to walk down and access the bottom level retreat and therefore avoid any steps. The indoor bathrooms were nicely renovated. It can get a bit noisy at night from cars on the street behind and trains crossing the Harbour Bridge - take ear plugs and you won't have a problem. There is only air conditioning in the top 2 levels and the main lounge did feel a bit warm even though the weather wasn't that hot. The downstairs Retreat smelt quite musty but I believe this has been rectified now. Be prepared for lots of stairs, especially if your bedroom is on the top level, but we were all fit and healthy so not an issue (and the bottom level is accessible from the back which can avoid stairs).
- Debra (9/5): Fabulous and iconic, perfect for a large group of friends or family - Location, beds and uniqueness. A beautiful property !

- Rupert (10/5): Brilliant property, fantastic location - Beautifully renovated, looked after and cared for, excellent location Nothing
- sharon (10/5): Loved it! - Absolutely stunning! Stunning location and perfect for our group.
Big enough that we could have our privacy and all come together in the beautiful communal spaces.
Hosts were also very responsive. Parking was further away than we realised. Would pay to drop bags off first if you don’t want to park on the street.
- George (10/5): Memories made,Memories kept and memories cherished - I liked the history and feel of the home. And the views were breathtaking. The mixture of the old building vibes and new technology complemented each other. Washing and drying my families laundry before their cruise was an added bonus.
My niece was struggling with her health recently and she's got crutches. I thought the place would be unfriendly towards her,but oh how wrong I was.
She used the room down stairs and didn't have to keep climbing stairs to use bathroom, she had her own out door bathroom and toilet. This amazed me all the more that it was wheelchair and crutches friendly. As my 21 year old daughter would always say Dad this place is so Bougee.
Thankyou for having us. The weather😁

- Paul (9/5): Fantastic property and location. Will definitely like to stay again. - The location is superb, right in the heart of the Rocks with world class views all around you. The house had plenty of room for a large family or group. Great kitchen area to all come together. The cleaners could do a better job between guests. The splash back was a little greasy and we found a cigarette packet with cigarettes under the kitchen balcony chair and the kitchen chairs could do with a recover. But that’s more suggestions than criticism.
- Belinda (10/5): -
- Todd (10/5): Excellent. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. - The history and location Nothing except it needs a coffee machine and perhaps some serving platters. And a cork screw. I had a dinner with friends and some serving platters would have been great plus decent coffee making facilities. But thats being picky. It was fantastic!!!!
- Ellie (6/5): Great, but listing needs updating. - Comfortable property with good beds and great sized rooms, spacious for 10 guests and excellent location close to plenty. Freezing in the main lounge and kitchen areas during winter with no heating. Cold during the night without access to extra blankets. For the price, budget instant coffee and a tiny milk are insufficient for hosting large families and extremely disappointed about promoting free parking when it is $10 per hour.
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful location with great view of harbour. - Amazing location! On street Parking is expensive, car parks nearby are also expensive.
- Suzanne (8/5): Very good -
- Maithri (6/5): Perfect location - Location is perfect The washroom were very uncomfortable And cleanliness
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hausler (10/5): A stunning home with breathtaking Opera House and Harbour views, spacious and elegant. - The location was unbeatable, close to top attractions and great dining options
The home is beautifully designed, spacious, and perfect for a group, with comfortable bedrooms and elegant living spaces. Maybe a partition between the king beds downstairs would make it more comfortable for 2 sharing couples.
- Jenny (10/5): We felt very privileged to stay in such a beautiful and iconic home. It was quiet, comfortable and absolutely perfect. - The location was amazing. The space and size of rooms was great, it was clean and nicely furnished. There was nothing we didn’t like. We didn’t want to leave
- James (9/5): Superb - Excellent location and views, really loved our visit!!
- Patricia (9/5): A perfect location for our family stay so much room for all of us to spread out, comfortable beds ! - Location was next level AMAZING!

- Chia (9/5): Happy stay with family! have to do some work to bring up all the luggage - I feel the management of the house really considered and prepared for people live in, and how to make them comfortable.
We feel it in many details.
Manger sent worker come right after we find some problem and came to fix it while we were out for our day. Really appreciate it
