Guest Reviews
- Julie (8/5): Unique Accomodation in a great location - The location was amazing, easy walking distance from the Mudgee. It's a very unique stay and the Church was popular who we talked to when doing wine tours, chatting with locals and other travellers. Personally for me, the bathing was not fun. This was a gorgeous bath, not a shower and after long day of travel, touring, sometimes a girl just needs a shower! Also the location is on a very busy road so, can get noisy.
- Nazi (9/5): Unique, lovely decoration - Perfect location, in walking distance to shops and restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay at Mudgee and St Aiden’s🙂
- Joanne (10/5): - Such a lovely unique place to stay.
- Wendy (7/5): - It was great I was surprised about the lack of a proper shower and no bracket on the wall to hold the shower hose … made it hard to wash and of course water went over the floor.
- Alesha (9/5): -
- Yvonne (10/5): - The ambience of the church was divine It was decorated beautifully
- Corrinne (10/5): A Beautiful Blessing in Mudgee - We fell I love with our accommodation, breakfast for our two day stay was provided and was more than enough for us. Nothing.
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Natascia (8/5): Very good -
- Colette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (10/5): Amazing property, close to everything, perfect for two great friends getting away from it all. Kim was a phone call away - It’s authenticity and location Nothing at all
- Juliana (10/5): Unique, unforgettable country town experience - Loved everything about this place: Location, uniqueness, charm, delicious fresh breakfast, cleanness, spacious. Communication with Kim was instant and easy.
- Leanne (7/5): Good - Beds were comfy
Interesting decor and furnishings No shower, bath was lovely but a proper shower is a necessity
Too cluttered, had put many things away to use table and benches
Locks on cupboards,If you don’t want them used don’t display them. Locked cupboard was tacky
- Aleksandra (10/5): Absolutely charming and unique property - It was charming, unique and memorable. Absolutely loved waking up with the beautiful light. Kim provides everything you need, including breakfast supplies! Really well located too, though it is on Market St, so you can hear the cars driving past. The backyard is perfect for the kids too. Loved all the little details. Thanks so much!
- Anneliese (9/5): Super quaint and lovely - Beautiful decor
Great information regarding the property
Lovely beds Its not a 2 bedroom property. Its a converted church with two beds in it. No privacy from each other. Was not a problem for us personally but maybe something to be clear about.
Would be better if the bathroom had a shower head on the wall, otherwise its just a bath with a hand held shower head. Definitely adds to the vibe but less convenient
- Renata (10/5): Magical place - Everything Nothing
- Sharon (10/5): Fabulous. - Stunningly renovated church.
Lots of love, care and little extras included.
- Caitriona (10/5): The most amazing stay with such a unique property! - Fantastic location and such a unique property! Continental breakfast was provided which was a fabulous surprise, a fantastic host! Sit down shower, would recommend a shower curtain
- Joeann (8/5): Lovely place close to all things Mudgee ! I really enjoyed our stay for our 40th wedding anniversary ! - Charming, beautiful church decorated with detail ! The bath was very hard to use especially for an older person and prob not safe at all ! the fall risk was real ! And not being able to see out side and the first light woke us up early no curtains which I get but not so relaxing in the early morning ! It’s all find for a few nights though !!
- Alison (10/5): Loved our stay and enjoyed our visits to the local eateries, wineries and markets. - Beautifully and thoughtfully styled and fitted out for a weekend away. Nice touches including breakfast provisions and bath bombs!
- Anne (9/5): Cute vintage yet comfortable church - Sweet vintage decoration and cute little garden. Sleeping in a converted church is quite an experience, but the place felt quite comfy. It is perfectly equipped with everything to spend a few days: cooking, playing games, reading books or relaxing in the gorgeous light through the painted glass windows. Beautiful ! A bit pricey maybe ?
- Eddy (8/5): Very good - a shower in the bathroom would have made a huge difference especially for older people
- Andy (10/5): Without doubt one of our best ever AirBnB stays. Great experience and wonderful hosts. #lovestaidens - What a wonderful and comfortable experience we had at St Aidens. Hosts Kim and Faye were lovely and accommodating and we blown away with how clean the church was. There were lovely touches including beautiful breakfast supplies and recommendations for restaurants and wineries to visit. Great location too, with easy stroll to lovely Main Street and cafes. 10/10…. We’ll be back. Could not fault this experience.
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (8/5): Very good - On the whole we enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to anyone.
- Bev (10/5): Excellent. - The whole experience was lovely. We were really grateful for the food left for us in the fridge and enjoyed it!
The home was cosy and warm with all the facilities you could need. Location was great. Very close to the centre and for what we wanted to do.
- Marshall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eunha (10/5): Exceptional - Kim was amazing. Beautiful place with amazing interior design. Friendly host with quick replies. She even prepared breakfast cereals, bread, fruits, yogurt and juice. Can’t ask for more. Also, we left our stuff by mistake but Kim called and waited for us to pick it up. Thank you! Highly recommend!
- Noel (7/5): A uniquely charming and beautifully restored Church Building. - The items supplied for you to make your breakfast were good. The location was convenient to the town, a cafe and a corner store, but, being on a main road was a bit noisy. The venue was beautifully and authentically decorated (historical building), The air conditioning was good as were the ovens and cooktop. The experience staying there was very unique, memorable and very pictorial. Having an older style bath (to keep within the historical look) meant that although you could use the hand held shower rose to have a shower, the fall of the floor meant the water that went outside the bath (no shower screen) didn't go down the drain, but, pooled up near the toilet. Despite the beautifully styled decor, it lacked some practicality, as it didn't have a wardrobe or drawers to put your clothes in, merely hat racks to hang a few items of clothing on. Despite having two double beds at opposite ends of the building, it's open plan layout wouldn't suit those looking for privacy. It was quite expensive, but, is typical of the popularity of the area for food and wine (attracting a higher caliber clientele).
- Jamila (8/5): Very good - Quaint and charming Beds a little too small and traffic noise
- Miranda (10/5): Exceptional - This place is so cute and the host we're just so accommodating the shower head
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- David (7/5): Lovely heritage stay lacking key features - Loved the heritage building and its proximity to the town centre. The accommodation had most features and facilities you could want, and was huge. The property was advertised as a 2 bedroom house. This suited our needs. However, what was not explained was that there were 2 double beds in an open-plan single room. This was less than ideal as we were sharing the house with an acquaintance.
Another issue for us was that the bathroom had no shower, only a bath. And situated on the main road into and out of town meant that there was constant noise from passing vehicles.
- Shelley (10/5): A delightful stay; we loved every minute - Gorgeous decor, beautifully appointed kitchen, lovely breakfast
- Kylie (9/5): Atmosphere+ a sweet home for a Mudgee stay, centrally located, gorgeously decorated, super cosy. - The 'church' was quiant, cute and packed full of atmosphere - which really added to our stay. A fridge full of yummy food for us, and an accomodating host who answered a couple of questions as we needed. Beds a little hard, but fine for a couple of nights.
- Jason (10/5): Lovely relaxing time in a beautiful space - Brekky was great, lovely touch. The light created inside makes the place very special. Pics don't do it justice! Nothing..really, its perfect.
- Andreas (9/5): Superb - Everything! Beautifully refurbished church made into a memorable destination.
- Luke (10/5): It took us away into a totally different world - The history of the building and the chance to stay in such a unique place The hand held shower
- Lorraine (10/5): A unique, relaxing, beautiful property for a stay. - Beautiful decor and spacious with comfortable beds, it had everything you want for a stay and more plus it is a great location within walking distance of the town centre. It is a unique place with original arch windows with beautiful light filtering into the room. We loved it!
- Donna (8/5): Very good -
- Kale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leanne (10/5): Unique accommodation - Great service, comfortable and close to town. - St Aidan's converted church had a beautiful feel to it. It was clean, comfortable and close to town. The breakfast was lovely and was convenient for our stay. We loved it.
- Sebastian (9/5): Lovely unique church-come-cottage accommodation in a quiet but easily accessypart of town - Unique and beautiful light, with all the conveniences one could expect Pretty perfect honestly! Maybe a holder for the shower but that’s neither here nor there.
- Kearney (10/5): Exceptional -
