Guest Reviews
- Nigel (3/5): Will not be returning... -
- Paula (1/5): We won't stay there again. It felt like a scam - I'd say only the location. But to be fair, they answer pretty quickly to all of our complaints, and fixed the most serious issues (they took their time, though):
- wifi: which was crucial for us because we needed to work.
- cleaning: they provided us with a 'complimentary deep cleaning' halfway through our stay, which was good but not really a deep cleaning, just a normal one
- heater: wasn't working when we arrived, and it was freezing inside. They sent someone to fix it, too, eventually
In the pictures, everything looks so clean and bright! It definitely doesn't reflect the current state of the apartment. Far away from the cosy atmosphere described in the listing. We concluded that the place is lacking love in general. - internet was not working for the first few days. We had to go and work from coffee places for a couple of days until they fixed it
- the heater wasn't working when we arrived
- there was an odour (humidity? dog smell? mould?) stuck in the place, no matter how much air freshener we sprayed (they sent us an air freshener to solve this)
- the room and especially the bed sheets also smelled like dog
- the garden was beautiful to see, but impossible to use; it literally stank, we think it might be one of the sources of the smell
- there's also a lack of cleanliness in the entire place. The floors were very dusty, the dishes and cutlery were all dirty and oily, and we had to wash every single item before using it. We also found loads of spiderwebs.
- the small tap in the kitchen (filtered water) was running constantly
- the carpet was just filthy, we ended up rolling it to put it out of the way
- the freezer had a thick layer of ice, which often melted and leaked onto anything on the fridge
- the blanket on the couch was pretty dirty and full of animal hair
- they don't mention it in the post, but they charge a £200 refundable deposit on arrival. Later on, they tell you they might charge it twice because the hold gets expired in 5 days (?). On top of this, they say they'll return it 7 business days after checkout, and they took 10 working days instead
We don't usually complain or give bad reviews to the places we go, but this was just too much.
- Gemma (1/5): Property is very different in real life compared to pictures. had to move out after 2 nights. -
- Shri (1/5): Lovely back office team,, but not a great stay. - Location was fine for where we needed to be. The photographs did not fully reflect the apartment. There was mould on the walls, the place was small and dated. This was booked for a colleague and we had booked for 4 nights, we moved him after one as it was just unacceptable. The team however were really helpful and did try to fix things, but we had made the decision to move him by then.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Love the area as used to live there - need to know your way round the buses and overground though which owner helps with. Flat was comfortable and charmingly decorated and good value.
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional - We booked this last minute- it was fantastic! Dean was very helpful, location was perfect right in the heart of dalston but not noisy, and the flat is cosy, full of beautiful art and very unique. Would come and stay again, thank you!
- Salem (9/5): Superb -
- Carmen (10/5): Exceptional - This apartment is absolutely beautiful, decorated with great taste and style The area is charming but it's a little bit poorly connected to the city center. It's a nice option if you want to have a quieter experience and relax from the overwhelming center of London
