• Suzanne (10/5): A comfortable place to stay with amazing views - Our host was extremely obliging. She went out of her way to assist us. The beds were very comfortable and the electric blankets appreciated. An added bonus was being able to get some washing done. The views were amazing and the location quiet and restful. Everything met our expectations.

• Elizabeth (9/5): Quiet and comfortable. - It was very quiet and had a lovely view of the water. The bedrooms were good and the kitchen facilities, although a little different, were fine. Colette was amazing. Her greeting, way after dark was pleasant and friendly and when we discovered our error in not booking for a third night, she went above and beyond to sort out the problem with booking.com. Later she had to inform us that me friend had left her coat behind. Once again, Colette uncomplainingly posted it to her. Thank you Colette. You were brilliant. The bathroom was very small, but adequate. The step into the shower was a bit of a challenge for a person with mobility issues.

Unit is clean and tidy and has an exceptionally well appointed kitchen. Comfy bed and plenty of room for the 2 of us. Good, quiet spot to use as a base for visiting the area . Nice garden down to River. Good pub food at a Hotel 5 minutes drive away Bathroom was a bit restricted and may be difficult for someone with mobility issues. However I see from previous reviews that it is being renovated in the new year.

• Edbert (9/5): Amazing 2 nights stay - Lots of kitchenware and cooking material provided. It was very comfortable to stay at peaceful location with an amazing mountain view. Colette was very welcoming and friendly. The bathroom sink is quite small and difficult to use. The hot water shower was a bit slow and overly sensitive.

The management bent over backwards to make sure we had a wonderful time in their accommodation. The view is fantastic. And while it isn't in Hobart city centre, I believe it was the best place to stay for my time in Hobart. It was quiet and very private and still close to everywhere. I highly recommend this accommodation for a stay in Hobart. I will be going back. Nothing

There was plenty of parking, good access to the shops and the host was very friendly and welcoming. There wasn't anything that I didn't particularly like.

• Michele (10/5): Otago Bay Magic - Tucked away overlooking Otago Bay I found a gem of a property to stay when I travel to Hobart. Quiet location, amazing views and gardens and everything you need for a stay and a little bit more. Highly rate and recommend this property and would encourage you to take time to sit, reflect and relax. Everything is close by but just note no restaurants or shops at Otago Bay that I found, but to be honest that is the charm. You only have to drive 5-10 minutes and you have shops and restaurants galore.

Though the place is not very big, it is sufficient for my niece and myself. Cosy and can see that Colette is a thoughtful person, having 2 luggage stands, a step into the bath stall, offered us, full cream milk for our hot beverages though we did decline, etc. We are very happy that we have chosen this property as our 1st accommodation in our very first trip to Tasmania Nothing we can think of. Haha

Wake up to a waterside view with birdlife. Handy location for the city. Property would benefit from a portable heater for the bedroom(s). Air con more than adequate for kitchen / living area but bedrooms on cool side.

Enjoyed awakening to a magnificent view over the Derwent River with Mt Wellington saying a sunny good morning. Tea towel under microwave getting caught in door when closing it. I'd suggest placing a drawer liner under the microwave, cut to the exact base size of the microwave.

Gave me a tour of the place and showed me how things operated. Much appreciated. Quiet location looking out over the river and looking at Hobarts most famous landmark, Mt Wellington. Beautiful. Nothing really.
• Karen (8/5): Our 2 night stay at the Waterfront Abode was great, with wonderful views and comfortable beds! - The location was lovely, a great view of the mountains, the water and Hobart. Our host, Colette, was very friendly, and very helpful, and went our of her way to ensure we were happy there. The accommodation is very comfortable, with extra amenities, such as a mobility stool for my elderly mother so she could safely get in and out of the shower, and all the items necessary to make the stay comfortable, even a dyson hand held vacuum, which came in handy to clean up the car. The decorations in the apartment were all very interesting too, such a feast for the eyes! There was also plenty of space, so it felt more like a home than a hotel. A luggage stand would have been handy.

Colette has put a lot of effort and personal touches to make guests feel comfortable. The place is very clean. The basin in the bathroom is a little bit small.
