• Carolina (8/5): Beautiful Apartment with Incredible View, Minor Outdoor Flaws - The apartment was beautifully decorated with a stylish interior. Absolutely breathtaking view - truly unforgettable and the highlight of the stay. Great location, peaceful and scenic. The room offered thoughtful extras like snacks, games, and books, which made it feel very welcoming. There was also a barbecue available, perfect for preparing meals while enjoying the stunning view. The outdoor area felt somewhat neglected. The grill was unfortunately not very clean. Outdoor tables and chairs in front of the barbecue were a bit dirty, worn, and could have been larger and more comfortable. The pool area also appeared untidy and could use better maintenance. Overall: We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our time here. The view alone is priceless, and with some extra care for the outdoor facilities, this place could easily be a five-star experience!

• Fitchett (8/5): A nice property with a fantastic view while we were in Airlie Beach - The property owners were always willing to help with our needs and the views were fantastic from the property. We needed a car to get around to make our life a little easier but we managed well enough anyway
• Triciamrm (9/5): Lovely retreat! - The view was stunning! Quiet location. The extra goodies provided by the hosts made the stay even more pleasurable. Very comfy bed. Lovely smelling toiletries. Definitely recommend the Haven. Not a real issue but TV didn't work well as it couldn't connect to WiFi. The driveway is very steep for parking. There is alternative free road parking 200meters away..

• Jane (7/5): Pretty location in Shute Harbour but underwhelming stay - Location was good . Bed was comfortable and kitchen area nicely presented Much smaller and darker than the photos. Very low ceiling. The only windows into the living and sleeping area did not provide much light or highlight the view . Although effort had gone into presenting the property as cute and cozy , it felt somewhat like a converted basement. Outside area a bit unkept. BBQ was rusted and we decided against using it

The place is aesthetically put together and has everything you need for a short to medium term stay. Given good weather, can definitely use the big pool area, fire pit and bbq they have available as well. The hosts are very understanding as well and were very helpful.

We happen to be staying over on Palm Bay resort for a couple of nights and it was right close to the shuttle harbour and also the fishing jetty. The place is very cute. A bit of a walk up the hill from bus stop but also some nice hiking walks :)

A perfect place for a couple. What's more, there are little touches like cereals, cakes, milk, coffee and tea, which are really top-notch! Thank you for everything 😊

I felt right at home & completely relaxed in the haven - the views were breathtaking & the pink decor of the room was so sweet & cozy, the pool was the perfect temperature & even when it rained it was still great for a swim. I really enjoyed my stay & would definitely book again! 😊 I didn’t find anything I didn’t like about the property.

We loved everything, just to note this property is a 15mins drive outside of Airlie beach area which we were not aware of but still worth the stay! A little gem of a place!!

• Scott (10/5): Thank you Natalie and Terry for having us you have a very beautiful place we didn’t want to leave. - The accommodation was exceptional, very private and very peaceful. The views were spectacular, we enjoyed our stay at haven view very much, we swam in the pool a few times while we were there pool was clean and just the right temp. Location was just outside of the hustle and bustle of airlie beach so at night you could literally hear a pin drop it was that quiet. Natalie and Terry were very helpful with anything that we needed. I honestly couldn’t fault anything with this property we both loved it.

• Deborah (6/5): Amazing view, little touches were great, just needs to be tidied up outside. - The view is absolutely stunning! It really made the place!! The location is great as long as you have a car as it’s not in the heart of Airlie Beach. It is too far to walk to cafes, shops etc. We were aware it was out of town and we were fine with that. It is a lovely quiet area. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I loved the little touches - nice coffee, coconuts for us to open and eat, cereal, juice, jams, honey and other snacks for us. The view from inside the room was amazing!! They had phone chargers to use incase you forgot yours. There was a hammock to lay in to watch the stars and a small fire pit full of timber to use. Perfect place to chill out and read a book. The driveway was very steep. You need to be good at hill-starts otherwise you would roll back into their BMW. Even though they are very quiet, the owners are on the property so be aware you don’t have complete privacy. The pool is right outside their kitchen and lounge area, so it felt a bit awkward sitting around the pool and patio while they are inside. The room you stay in, is under the house, down some uneven concrete steps, out the back of the property so if you have trouble with mobility you may struggle to get down the stairs. The back area is small and needs to be tidied up. Just needed to be mowed and all the weeds pulled out. There was dog poop next to the hammock. Not much to do if you didn’t have a car to get around in.

I found the parking lot very steep, the smell of humidity on the sheets and pillows as if they were stored for few time..

Steps from car park down side of house to apartment were very steep, narrow and uneven, broken concrete. No rails. Bathroom was on 3 levels. No hand towels or tea towels available for 2 night stay. BBQ was dirty. Pool was in front of owners living area. Ceilings very low. Outside sitting area was unkempt and not inviting.

And the fact that you can see it not just from your patio but from your room is incredible. The host also goes above and beyond to look after her guests! It’s quite far from the city centre and has very limited food options nearby. Definitely better suited to someone with a car.

• Shanna (1/5): The place is creepy. We were that keen to get out of there, we paid twice for 1 night in Airlie. - Not much at all. A very strange set up. We felt uncomfortable from the moment we walked in. The space is claustrophobic with very, very low ceilings and little light and the kicker would be the mirrored wardrobes that are "out of bounds", face the bed & have a photography studio located behind them with some bizarre signage on the mirror!?!?!? Overall, nothing like the description on the website and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The "private" pool (if you don't mind swimming right outside the living space of the main residence) is absolutely far from private. We were out of there in 15 minutes and off to a motel in town.

• Lucy (10/5): Incredible stay - would 100% recommend staying here! - We had an incredibly lovely stay at The Haven View. We were simply taken away by the beauty and the little touches that you have done. It was exquisite and we loved staying in such a beautiful spot. The views are the best!
• Wolf (7/5): Auf Reisen kann nicht alles perfekt sein/Nothing is perfect, not even paradise - The view was spectacular, our host Nathalie was very friendly, the bed was good, the small bathroom was okay. And it was really, really quiet. We were offered a delicious tea and could use a coffee machine. We have had heavy rainfall, and the rain dripped through the window. After two days the carpet was soaked. In spite of the rain, it was very warm, so we started the fan. But be careful: If you are are a tall person (more than 178 cm), the fan could hit your head, because the cealing is low (no joke). The alternative would have been the cooling machine. But it was so loud, that we did not use it. But: We loved our stay there and would come back. @Nathalie: Could we please get two plates to prepare a sandwich next time? All the best

• Rachel (6/5): Beautiful Views / shame its so far away from everything - A lovely room in a beautiful location with a beautiful view ........... I maybe should have done my research better but the place was literally a million miles away from everything. I arrived quite late by taxi ($40 from the centre!) I unfortunately hadn't had anything to eat - there was only one place that delivered to the accommodation and they requested a $50 minimum order with a $10 delivery charge - I was on my own - no way was I going to order that amount of food. Luckily I had some snacks and there was some breakfast things provided in the room although no milk to go with the tea / coffee. The room was very hot but the air conditioning unit did cool the room down eventually. No wardrobe storage for your things, but this wasn't a problem for me as I was only staying the one night. The TV connection (wifi) wasn't working so I had to phone the owner - but it was sorted out pretty quickly. Not a good place to stay if you are a solo traveler.
• Sandra (10/5): The perfect way to unwind after a 28 hours flight, - The property had the most amazing un-obscured views over the bay, was secluded and most serene. The owners of the property were kind enough to drop us off into town for us to pick up our hire car! The bed was the most comfiest I have ever slept in. There was iced tea in the fridge along with oatmilk and fresh water. Perfect Haven nothing else could make it better.

Stairs to get out steer you Along a very narrow window looking into hosts quarters, so not very private . Air conditioning was just ok.

This is one of the few options to stay in Shute Harbour (vs directly in Airlie Beach) which was important to use as we had a boat to catch from Shute Harbour. The space was very comfortable and lots of little details included that made it feel luxurious. The best part was meeting the host Natalie. She was extremely kind.
• Zlatko-luka (10/5): Great hosts in a quiet oasis with chirping tropical birds! - I haven't written a review before but I feel obliged because this was a "magical" 3 night stay. The view is too die for of the Whitsunday's. Natalie and Terry are wonderful hosts.Without a car, Natalie very kindly drove me into town for groceries and when I left. I was a bit worried before I came because some guy complained about everything. But none of it applied to me.Beautiful, comfortable bed.Lots of cutlery.Specially bottled tea that Natalie happily refills and complimentary goodies in the fridge. A truly gorgeously presented room. The pool is clean and inviting and the view from the pool deck mesmerising. I will be back and even though I came as a stranger they made me feel special and feel like new friends!
• Thais (10/5): Outstanding. - Absolutely amazing view and stunning outside area, the pool temperature was perfect, and couldn't get enought of the resting area, also. The room was nice and cozy, great size, including the bathroom. The bed was really comfortable, there was also a figrobar and microwave in the room, which is always helpful, and some snacks and drinks available. Natalie, the host, also went above and beyond to make me fell comfortable and help out with my needs. The place is a bit far from everything, so ideally you should have a car to stay there. Still, I would highly recommend to stay a couple of nights to enjoy the quite and stunning place <3.

• Gregory (2/5): very uncomfortable and left forfeiting further night as bad choice - location was great, could not have breakfast as there were no tea or coffee cups, Bed was a camp bed with a mattress on top two people could not sleep in it, jug could only be filled in shower, as were any dishes, there were 2 tv's neither was fully operational, nowhere to hang clothes on hangers, no luggage caddy. would not recommend satay at auntie jacks
• Irene (9/5): Pleasant stay in a stunning location. - The location and view are amazing. Many good points. The owners clearly made an effort to think of most things one would require on an overnight stay. It is roomy accommodation. As stated in the advert, it would not be suitable for elderly people with mobility issues. Some people may find the parking challenging as it is on a steep incline. We also felt the quality of the bed could be improved which is important so that guests get a good nights sleep. Otherwise, I would have given it a 10.
