- Thomas (9/5): I recommend the place. - Super location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and neat. -
- Jens (10/5): Great place to stay if you want to visit the East Prussian Museum - Very conveniently located.
Nice, up-to-date facilities and nice service Breakfasts were good but seemed a bit expensive
- Fulvio (9/5): Highly recommended - Location
- Gillian (9/5): Superb -
- Cj (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (8/5): Great value and location - Location, style and employees It wasnt cleanin some areas ( that are not typical as under sofa or corners). We saw it by accident as our sons toy fell under. So we were unpleasantly surprised with a hill of dusts and someones lost sock.
Also, the open wall concept is stylish and all. But its awful to wake up covered in the wall particles that are falling from the wall. 🤣
- Suzanne (8/5): Brilliant location, very clean and helpful friendly staff - Brilliant location, friendly staff member, cleanliness throughout the Hotel The hotel is not staffed after 18.00pm Wed-Sunday and not staffed after 13.00pm on Monday and Tuesdays. I arrived just after 18.00pm, if there had been a staff member on duty, I would have asked for an additional pillow as there was only one pillow in the bedroom and it was not supportive, very flat and lumpy. I would also have asked if there was access to a kettle for making a hot drink and filling a hot water bottle.
The one night I stayed it was a bit noisy as there was a group of 6 sitting in lounge area by the stairs in the evening and the sound travelled upstairs, I was unable to close the door to the landing near where my room was which would have helped block out the noise.
Talking to other guests, the Hotel is usually very quiet.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional - Location, building, equipment, cafee, atmosphere, city. Everything was great. Room was a bit cold and heating was noisy. The water took to long to warm up.
- Astrakhan (9/5): Charming and comfortable! - The location and rooms were amazing! Parking wasn’t easy or cheap and it took about 10 minutes to heat up the water in shower, but I’d still stay again.
- Rodrigo (9/5): Superb -
- Camilla (8/5): Very good -
- Oliver (9/5): Superb -

- Uwe (10/5): again!! - beautifully renovated, great location, friendly staff, very good coffee and breakfast options parking is a problem
- Peter (7/5): Very central and comfortable. Would have been helpful to know in advance that early check out is not possible. - Great central location No staff around. I wanted to leave early but no one was there until 8.20 to take payment.
- Charlotte (7/5): Good -
- Gyslaine (8/5): Very good - Location Na
- Anders (10/5): Had a nice stay in this Historic buiding. Very friendly staff and great breakfast in the cafe - Central location in a great historic building
- Anders (9/5): Superb - Cosy hotel, the age of the building makes it a bit special to navigate, don't bring too much luggage.
- Joachim (9/5): Superb -
- Victor (9/5): Superb -
- Olivier (8/5): Very good -
- Alexander (10/5): A lovely historic building to spend some time in. - Beautiful building with modern fit out. Great vibe and perfect location. Excellent value for money. Personally I would have liked a small refrigerator… not a deal breaker though.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- E_elgar (8/5): A Good Choice in Small, Charming Lüneburg - This is a very small hotel, above a café, and I counted only three rooms, though there could be more in another section of the building. Staff was very friendly and helpfull, when they were there. (see below)
My room was comfortable, though small, and the Wi-Fi functioned very well.
The hotel is in a good location, but it's some distance from the Bahnhof. Note well that the check-in time is ONLY from 15:00 to 18:00, at which time the café closes, and you're on your own! There is a key code to open the front door after hours; don't forget to take it with you!
The breakfast is a la carte, in the café, and priced on the high side for what is a well-presented cold plate.
With so many good bakeries in town, I wouldn't do it again.
- Rupert (8/5): Very good -
- Wenjie (10/5): Highly recommended this accommodation - The location is perfect, the environment is chill, and the staff are very friendly
- Christopher (2/5): Make sure to stay away, they behave not like hosts but like the guests *you* have to serve - The rooms are nice - everything else a catastrophe. They call this a "hotel", but actually it is a cafe with a few rooms and - at least when I was there - ANY kind of service was non-existent. Nobody from the hotel was there, only people from the cafe and they just claim they are not responsible for anything (except taking the money from your card).
All started with me having to arrive Sunday after 6 pm. As the cafe will close at 6 pm, I was supposed to ask for self check-in details. I did so on Friday via e-mail. No response. I called on Saturday. The cafe staff told me I should not worry, I would get the info by Saturday night from "the person responsible for the hotel". Nothing in my inbox on Sunday morning. I call them again. They say I get the info by 11 am. Nothing in my inbox. I call the third time. They say they send it out *now*. I wait for 15 minutes, again nothing received. I call them the fourth time. They tell me they do not know how to get my e-mail address from Booking.com. I give it to them via phone. Finally, I receive the self check-in information after 4 calls and 2 e-mails.
Next morning nobody from the hotel is there, but the cafe staff wants me to pay the invoice already - for a four-night stay at the morning after the first night. I pay by card and ask for the invoice. They say it cannot be produced by them - only by hotel staff. They say I will receive the invoice later that day. In the evening I still have not received any invoice. When I come back at 5 pm, the cafe is closed, nobody there from the hotel. I go to my room, want to open it, and realize that it has not been locked. Huge security incidence! All my stuff in the room and the room service has just not locked the room. Luckily, everything is still there. I write an e-mail about the security incidence. I never get a response on it, never. I never get any apology for it.
It also took me two more days to finally make them send me an invoice.
- Kaliev (10/5): Exceptional -
- Auxiliadora (7/5): Great for a short stay in Lüneburg - The location is great, the ambient is very cozy and the staff is friendly and thoughtful. No basic hotel toiletries one would expect from such a hotel. Overpriced menu.
- Jessy (8/5): Very good - Beautiful building. The website states that there is a kettle and when there wasn't one in the room I asked and they gave me one immediately (no tea/coffee though). Thin, smallish towels. I found breakfast, with its limited choices and where you pay for each item separately, to be inferior to other hotels in Germany. Long wait for it, too. Neglected plants languishing in various corners.
- Rona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Regina (9/5): Superb - - Beautiful historic house, lovingly decorated
- Comfortable room with big bathroom
- Good breakfast
- Friendly staff We like everything, however, maybe some things could be made even better:
- A small desk in the room would be nice
- At breakfast, it would be great if one could order some additional fruits and/or vegetables
- Ulrich (7/5): Good -
- Chris (9/5): Lovely hotel in old Luneburg - Very quiet room, standard but comfortable, excellent breakfast, great cappuccino and very friendly staff If one is tall, mind your head!
- Doerte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hanne (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (3/5): Nice location spoiled by noise - Location Extremely noisy
Our room was at the back of the hotel just above an outdoor patio area where where folk were loud until gone 2am
Not acceptable
- Daniela (10/5): Wunderschön - Súper friendly atmosphere. Our dog had self made dog treats and water as a welcoming present. Nice healthy breakfast available. Beautiful house. We like to come again.
- Sibylle (9/5): Had a good stay. - Delightful and helpful staff. Great room and bathroom. Only thing I would add is that my room was a little dark. But it's a listed building so I assume the hotel isn't allowed to put extra windows in.
- Jennifer (8/5): Great location and beautiful facility, but I probably would not stay here again. - The hotel was beautiful and comfortable, and very well-situated. The staff was friendly. No breakfast served on Mondays and Tuesdays - this was not clear to me when I reserved the room. There wasn’t really staff around for most of the time while I was there, which felt odd. There was a group hanging out on Monday evening in the courtyard/patio, located just below my window, and they were super loud until late (well past 2 am) and I could not sleep.
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Edward (9/5): Superb -
- Eveline (5/5): Passable - The staff was friendly at the welcome and the room was very clean. The breakfast was only possible after 8 am which was too late and only a la carte which was also not efficient for me. The room was very cold and the shower was also cold
- Thor (10/5): Gorgeous historical hotel in the heart of Lüneburg - A very cozy hotel in a historical building, perfectly located in the center of Lüneburg. The personnel were very nice and the cafe some nice options, including vegan options. Rooms were super tidy and looked gorgeous and gave you a feeling of being in the modern age while still feeling the significance of an old building with endless stories to tell. It was within walking distance of shops, restaurants and attractions, so a perfect place to stay if you want a romantic mid-city hotel experience. nothing negative to add
- Nada (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Ju (9/5): Superb - Friendly hotel in the middle of town. Downstairs is a very nice cafe. Staff are super friendly.
