Guest Reviews
- Moya (9/5): Loved our stay - Location superb, quiet and peaceful.
Hosts super nice, divine bed linen.
Highly recommend
- Rojina (10/5): - Everything was set up perfectly. It felt like a home. Separate indoor slippers would have been better.
- David (7/5): Was just a stopover for the night. Had a dog and was only pet friendly accommodation I could find. - It was raining and dark, could not find the place easily, the phone was not answered and had to try and bang on owners door.
- Stephen (9/5): A fantastic location to experience both a peaceful holiday and also serve as a base for lots of tourist activity both in - It is a beautiful location where you can feel both secluded from the world and yet not far from the main house and the owners as well as the odd other tiny house occupant.
It is close to Swan Hill and Lake Boga and as tourists that was what we wanted to experience.
The tiny house itself was a good size and had excellent facilities and was spotlessly clean and more than adequate for cooking and warming up food, etc
The heating cooling and bed facilities were all above the usual standard which is important in a tiny house. Because there is no escape if you’re not happy.
There was space for mindful walks amongst the olive Groves and some of the wildlife which was a friendly donkey and a horse.
The owners Isabella and Gary are lovely warm hearted, generous, polite people who responded positively to every request and made us feel welcome.
We received lots of good advice about local landmarks and places of nature to visit as well as tourist locations and options. There was not much that was unlikable.
Acclimatising to a cassette toilet is a thing that once it’s sorted is no longer an issue.
- Leonie (7/5): Unique tiny home experience - What a gorgeous tiny home tucked away in the olive trees! Really unique tiny home experience. Our host was lovely and even though wasn't on location, was very communicative over text.
- Thomas (10/5): Being amongst the olive trees was amazing. It was just breathtaking an amazing experience. - Nothing.
- Narelle (9/5): A great one off experience in a tiny house. - Super Fun and very clean Needed a bigger frying pan to cook for 2 people. Having the bed in the lift was a bit scary during the night when needing the toilet. Would not suit people who struggle with movement or young children.
- Karupovic (10/5): -
- Scott (10/5): Excellent accomodation. Private, quiet, on the edge of town. Still close to Swan Hill. - Great location and not too far out of town and away from the hustle and bustle of Swan Hill.
Close to Boga to pop into the pub for a great meal.
Quiet, private and peaceful No complaints…..all good
- Leslie (9/5): - So secluded and quiet. The house had everything you need.
- TECK JIN (9/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Very enjoyable short stay, pet friendly and loved the location. - Delightful location, loved this tiny house.
- Natalia (7/5): Good - We followed the instruction to go to the tiny house, we can find the location easy.
- Rhianna (5/5): Not horrific but not as pictured or described - It’s okay but wouldn’t book again. Safe handrail to go up stairs.
Excellent gas cook top.
Microwave and a decent range of pots, pans, cutlery etc. heater worked well and provided a good number of towels. To much information sent out which made check in and directions confusing.
On arrival staff were a bit abrupt and had no guidance regarding animals or ?shop. All signage in tiny home and information shared in messages felt like we were a nuisance for even booking to stay. Pictures show all kinds of things which once booked find out are an extra cost. For example no soap provided like pictured. Lake Tyrell which is in the photo is actually almost 3hours away from accomodation. I recognise the toilet is supposed to be eco friendly however it smells and wasn’t clearly explained PRE booking. Feels like a very shallow long drop which is inside a tiny space. Not pleasant. Toilet door slides open because tiny home is on an angle. Some minor cleaning shortfalls such as mark on towels, dirt in cutlery drawer, no bag in sanitary bin.
- Rowena (8/5): It was a great stay! - We loved the setting, functionality and comfort The toilet smelt quite bad, even before we had used it.
- Jennifer (10/5): We absolutely loved our over night stay in the tiny house. Its location amongst the olive grove was so peaceful. Even th - The location of the tiny house amongst the olive trees The stairs to the loft were a little steep
- Harmonie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Cosy, comfortable, calm and rejuvenating stay! A must do - The stay was gorgeous, being able to walk amongst the olive trees and have such a well thought out cosy stay from the hosts!
Getting to go to the shop the next morning was a must and so glad we were able to get some goodies to take home.
- Gail (9/5): Great Tiny Home in an Olive Grove! - Beautiful location in an Olive grove, felt remote and private. Very friendly host. Loved the animals including the very friendly donkey. Great to be able to bring our dogs with us, they loved it too! Nothing, was a great weekend getaway.
- Goodin (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (7/5): Pleasant stay in beautiful olive grove - Comfortable bed. Beautiful setting. Shower had good water pressure. Some of the crockery and pots and pans were dirty. Also a broom would have been nice to be able to sweep the floor instead of having to use little dustpan and brush
- Sam (1/5): Bad - Inadequate cooking facilities
- Adam (9/5): A blissful retreat amongst the olive trees in regional Victoria - Loved our stay at the Olive Grove Retreat. The location of these two tiny homes in the Olive Grove is really lovely and very private. Even though the owners aren't too far away, you feel like you have the place to yourself. The tiny home we stayed in was well appointed and comfortable. No real complaints. The air con wouldn't budget off dry, but as solar power is used that's understandable. The bed is in a loft, but really comfortable. Everything looked spotlessly clean. The door code provided in the booking.com documentation was incorrect (the owner turned up just at the right time to give us a hand there). The outdoor furniture is a bit shaky. Apart from that, we loved it.
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Annabel (10/5): Stunning Tiny Home in the centre of the Olive Grove! - I loved our stay at the Olive Grove Retreat we had an amazing time, I only wish it was longer. Gary and Izzy gave us a great welcome and it was so interesting to learn about the farm. The place is simply beautiful from the sunflower field, to the lavender crops, the bees, to Esme the donkey, to the horses, the goats, Sophie the dog amd of course the tiny home in the middle of the Olive Grove! It was so peaceful. One of the best parts for me was that it is pet friendly! The tiny home is in fact quite spacious with everything you could need. The products from Chasney Estate are beautiful the olives, the oil and the lavender gelato all gorgeous. This a unique experience in a beautful part of Australia not to be missed! Nothing it was great!
- Joel (10/5): Beautiful place to rest and relax around nature - This was such a beautiful place to rest and reset for my husband and I.
The view all around the farm was beautiful, and the baby goats made for great petting.
The tiny house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and cute!
The hosts Gary and Izzy were great and very friendly but left us to our own unless asked. The little shop was great and we purchased some beautiful olive oils and hand made soaps before leaving.
There was great 4g reception everywhere, and the air con/heater worked well too!
You won’t regret staying here!
Thanks for a beautiful stay Gary & Izzy! Nothing - it was perfect!
- Alfera (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and Quiet. Nothing
- Savy (10/5): My little time out break - So peaceful and quiet. The bed was wonderful. The shop had wonderful produce. Grown on the farm. Even lavender and honey ice cream. Always wanted to stay in a tiny home. Nothing
- E (9/5): Superb - Our amazing host/s greeting us with a very warm homely welcome.
The generously equipped, well stocked, beautifully appointed, totally off grid, little gem (Tiny House), hidden amongst the Olive groves, adjacent to a Lavender crop & surrounded by farm animals.
In the misty moonlight, with gentle rain falling, retiring to a very comfortable bed, all made for an extremely pleasant stay.
"In the morning light, for a fleeting moment, thought I was in Italy."
"Thank you" to our host/s for allowing us to share your property and a glimpse of your journey.
ED Due to our time constraints, unable to tour distillation plant /shop.
Another time.
Drawers at end of bed possibly unnecessary & downsized bed for gaining a little more space.
