Guest Reviews
- Marta (7/5): Nice stay, but not without problems - The location was great, close to everything we needed.
• The check-in process was smooth and easy.
• The host sorted out the broken shower very quickly – they replaced it the next morning. The stairs… 🫣🤦♀️ OMG! I knew it was on the 3rd floor with no lift, but these stairs were brutal!
• The shower wasn’t working – we didn’t have hot water on the first night.
• The flat didn’t even have a proper brush, which made it really hard to keep tidy.
• The beds were really flimsy. Every little move made them wobble, and we were worried they might collapse.
- Weronika (5/5): You get what you paid for. - Quite close to different public transport routes. Spacious inside. All 3 of us had our own bed which is rear in London for the price. Host was nice. Difficult to locate, more clear instructions would be nice. On 3rd floor but the stairs were very narrow and uneven so it wasn’t very accessible for my mum with a bad knee. The door has 2 locks on it and it wasn’t clear which one opened the door. Seems minor but after climbing the stairs with suitcases and trying to balance them on the small steps, it’s hard to keep trying the keys. The shower was poor, the water did not want to run warm and when it did it kept going too cold or too hot during shower, water pressure cut off often. The apartment wasn’t clean. My sister found a hair on her bed soon as we went in. The floors were dirty, the fridge wasn’t on when we got there due to a power trip and it had a bad smell. The shower needs a deep clean! skirting board in bathroom were very dirty too.
- Judy (5/5): Passable - Location good for the price. Close to underground transportation and buses. Had a washer and a dryer. Had a hair dryer. Shower was cold.. shower area could be cleaner. Need the key to get out of the apartment. No fire extinguisher.
- Jessica (2/5): Nice host, good location, bad place. - Good location, the host kindly let us drop our bags off early when we arrived in London for no extra charge. The beds were small but comfortable enough. The shower didn't work, the host sent someone to fix it but the issue was not resolved. The shower height couldn't be adjusted so it was stuck at the shortest setting and kept falling off of the hook, it took about 15mins to get any heat at all and when it did it got so hot it burned my skin - it was impossible to have anything but a cold shower. The place was grubby, with duct tape on the walls, thick grime and dust. No hand towel was provided in the bathroom. There is a hole in the wooden window pane, and the windows are single glazed so it's very noisy. The heater's legs were unstable. The kitchen is not fully equipped, no frying pans. The hot and cold tap in the kitchen is the wrong way round and the tap moves around freely. There wasn't enough toilet roll provided for the stay, so we had to buy our own. No ventilation so the place was overheated. The bannister on the way up the stairs came off the wall when I was going up the stairs, making me trip. The beds weren't full sized doubles. A bit of kitchen tile chipped off and got stuck in my foot.
The place is just in some serious need of TLC.
- Rezai (4/5): Disappointing - friendly owner wasn't very clean
- Joice (5/5): Was fine other than the stairs. - The horrible stairs.not good for kids and old people
- Gayle (2/5): Never again - Not very much Other guests old food and drinks in the fridge
Other guests toiletries in the bathroom
Blood spots on bed covers
Bag of rubbish that wasn’t ours in the living room
Apartment is basically been built into someone’s loft space
The steps to it get thinner as you climb up
The whole place looked grotty in need of a good scrub
Very run down
Don’t feel very safe or secure with one small lick on bottom of the door
- Ray (8/5): basic value - shower needs serious attention
- Preeti (3/5): Poor - It's best to avoid the property, flat is at steep 3rd floor and no lift, stairs are very narrow and uncomfortable , you fear falling down as flat door open directly on stairs.
Also, you can't expect to have a sound sleep because of constant noise and sound at night from road , there is an eerie feeling in the house and we were very uncomfortable.
- Ntande (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - Bus stop out front. Close to shops and restaurants. The Stairs
Shower small and difficult to get a warm shower, (hot water testy).
